If its not too intrusive, how did you earn money to travel? That is such a natural, tranquil way of life. The skill levels of those indigenous tribes, on a fundamental level for hunter/gathering/farming must be incredible.
It's a very long story but to summarize in my youth I worked odd jobs and hitchhiked in country after country. Then later with my family we never went anywhere for 10 years as we develop the farm. After establishing good credit I got cards that paid back points for everything that we purchased on the farm which was sometimes thousands of dollars a month. I had an automatic payment system so I was never late and never paid $0.01 in interest. The Chase Sapphire card is the best for this. Then I would purchase my tickets through a Chase Sapphire card travel agency that gave us a very large discount on the tickets. So on and off traveling around the world with my children was 100% free. And yes I did learn a lot from indigenous peoples, I actually married an indigenous woman from the Andes mountains. She has been The Green thumb of the farm and I the backbone. I have since turn the farm over to my son and now I am retired and in Thailand and on the way to Cambodia.

Yes… I’m an American and have absolutely no connection to this country. I am well traveled and have lived abroad. I can 200% say that this is a 3rd world nation. There’s nothing progressive here. I have many clients who are the personification of thriving in the US, typically many of these people came from Marxist regimes and flourished in the US. In terms of indigenous in the US, their belief system was that one couldn't own land. So, if they can't own land, then they couldn't lose it. Throughout history, varied groups around the world have replaced other groups. With the Norman conquest in the UK, many of the Anglo Saxons lost land/positions etc. Vikings also killed and stole land as well. This is part of history.

Never bought the books but I appreciated his ads back then. 8 years later I got to sit in my garage in my Lamborghini and my Ferrari and there were books that helped me but I didn’t need to buy Tai’s courses. Mostly think and grow rich and the millionaire real estate investor.

I did not know what a narcissist was until my next door neighbor called other people that. Then and right then, I realized what is wrong with both of them! It's a metaphor. I think he becomes so self obsessed that he has no care for anyone else. It's also the root word for narcotics which will cause someone to become self obsessed with getting high and having no room to consider any other persons needs. It is a cautionary tale to warn you against an unhealthy level of selfishness. But I've also learned that you should also be aware of not being selfish enough. If you aren't selfish enough the world will eat you up. It's a fine balance.

I'm not familiar with Tai Lopez but this was possibly my favorite interview you've done. Super interesting guy with a very different idea of living nomadically. Loved it.
I learned alot of different things that most nomads don't mention, most usually just stick to talking about money, travelling and locals. Tai spoke about culture, history, economics...etc.
Definitely Philippines, Brazil and Mexico are some of the nicest people, great places to go as a foreigner not thinking only about money. It’s just that their governments suck… is it possible to live in those countries and shelter yourself from government influences somehow?
I don't think it is. If you live in countries like the PH, the politicians will steal from their own sovereign wealth fund for the citizens. The issue is, governments can do whatever they want because there is no one above them to tell them otherwise. If you live in one of these countries, you can still have a wonderful life, just NEVER talk about the politics of that country. When speaking to a government official, say yes sir, or no sir. They can and will fuck you if you don't feed their egos. If you do this and stay under the radar, they will normally give you the freedom to do whatever you want.
Government influences? In general, the Philippines is FAR MORE free on a daily basis than the USA. Government red tape is there, but usually less than the USA and almost always, there is a work-around. In general, the people are very friendly and inclusive, always ready with a smile...but you better like the tropics! Our island is mostly rural, great landscapes and white sand beaches a short walk from our door.

This was awesome. It was in my feed for weeks and I kept passing it up because for some reason I had a negative impression of Tai Lopez. Not sure why. Perhaps based on some past internet buzz or UA-cam comments. The negative impression wasn't strong enough to keep me from questioning my negative association with his name so finally I decided to click and watch. I am pleasantly surprised and this interview has erased any past doubts I held. The man is well spoken and intelligent. I find I'm in agreement with much of the rhetoric in this discussion.

I've gotta say this was a great interview, very balanced thoughts. I've generally not been a fan of Tai but as he's gotten older he's become more even keel. I like that he does point out exactly why people continue to come to the US despite all of our flaws. You can say just about anything you want here. You try that in some of these other countries popular for golden visas and CBI programs, and you'll be tossed in jail or worse. And he's also right with a lot of these other countries regarding the happiness index etc. And he makes a great point around actually getting off social media and talking to people in the streets and seeing that the US is no where near divisive as people think.

Even still I was harrassed by some old lady for standing in front of a window while waiting for my wife to leave a public bathroom. Apparantely she was eating in a restaraunt and I was blocking her view looking outward. I refused to move and it created a scene where other shop worker politely intervened and let me know she wanted me to move. I refused and waited for my wife to return. Dont let this bother you though it happens to everyone and the lady may not have been racist but may just have mental issues. It didnt bother me one bit, but Im a 6 foot male with harsh life experiences already , so your mileage may vary. Still everyone other old lady or old guy is very nice to us and our 2 kids. But there is still racism in the Japanese boomer generation. But they are all ageing out and the newer generations are awesome.

I went to a get together at a locals house and several of the people there had not only never been off the island, they had never even been out of their neighborhood, never been 8 miles south to Waikiki, yet they had lots of opinions on how the world works.
I grew up in NYC and there were plenty of people in my neighborhood in Brooklyn that had never or rarely ever seen the other boroughs. People come from all over the world to visit Manhattan, for example, but they couldn't even hop on the train to go there. That fun fact always blew my mind.

I think it's also important to keep in mind How did these countries conduct themselves during the pandemic. How did australit's some of those European countries lock down and how do they treat people during lockdown. We really saw who the free countries were. So while other countries do have a better standard of think it's still important to maintain the American citizenship because you're in lockdown despite the government being overbearing certain states did push to remain free a lot more than the UK certain states in Scandinavia New Zealand Australia Austria all lost their minds.
I sort of agree with you here, but no Scandinavia was not part of this group. In fact that was one of the few region of countries that kept their sanity and people pushed back against all the stupid covid measures other countries took. Also, you pointed something smart about America, but honestly the division in my opinion was mostly scene on racial demographic lines generally speaking. The more brown or non-European the city, the less push back against covid measures during 2020 and 2021, my question is that a city/country issue or a racial issue regarding awareness of health.

Wow Tai is someone I’d love to have a long conversation with. This dude is so intelligent. This is the real American history and Globally lesson that I needed. We need to learn stuff like this to navigate the world. I lived in Mexico it was a highly tremendous experience. I would buy a house there. I’m looking at Malaysia now. I’m looking at Africa and Asia. I love these philosophies of not expecting one place to give you everything. Govt is govt. accurate. My question is how do you financially get there if you are starting from ground zero? This is all new you aren’t already making large figures.

He was the one who pushed for reading a book per week ... although it's been said that he himself read a book per day (not sure whether that was true ... even if it was not true, but only a book per week, it was still a lot of books.)
I saw a vid long time ago of him describing how he read one book a day. He would basically read the contents, a bit of the intro and last part of the book. Then choose which chapters to read and only read the parts that interest him. So no, he isn't reading full books, only what stands out :) An active form of reading. Tai Lopez was one of my first business mentors. Our entire family did his business programme. I still quote him 😁. I agree with him regarding phones for kids. We home schooled all three our kids and they are all super successful and well balanced.
Kudos to Mom, Dad, and the children. Good job mates, well done. A lot of people wish they could honestly make the same claim and statement. I just feel like I can trust in his faith in knowledg and that the house and Lambo were actually his and not just rented for the time needed to shoot the video advertisement! Really though I love the "buy my get rich quick course" schemes. The more people that buy the course the richer the creator gets thereby boosting his credibility and confidence. The only problem is the course doesn't teach you the actual technique of building and selling a get rich quick program wich is where the real $ is at.

@@torres8988 I only ever encountered that once while in Japan and I stayed a full 3 months. I think this is something that happened more in the past than it does now. as a general rule of thumb if you dress well you'll get into most places just fine, especially if you have a Japanese friend or GF with you. There might be more issues in smaller towns, I don't know, but in the big cities I just never had an issue 99% of the time.

Off course there has been deviations further left here and there (60’ /70’) that took Sweden, for instance, to the brink of bankruptcy in the 80’ than they started to adjust back. Norway the same, the last 20/30 years boom was based on positive market/investor oriented policies. That one genius ad for the trip wire product "67 Steps" got me into his funnel. Which by the way is a really great product along with several others i bought. Tai has added so much value and knowledge to everyone.😎

Never bought the books but I appreciated his ads back then. 8 years later I got to sit in my garage in my Lamborghini and my Ferrari and there were books that helped me but I didn’t need to buy Tai’s courses. Mostly think and grow rich and the millionaire real estate investor.

I did not know what a narcissist was until my next door neighbor called other people that. Then and right then, I realized what is wrong with both of them! Now I have awakened further to realize that narcissism is a rampant disease in America. Sociopaths and narcissist rise to the top of many corporations. It's a metaphor. I think he becomes so self obsessed that he has no care for anyone else. It's also the root word for narcotics which will cause someone to become self obsessed with getting high and having no room to consider any other persons needs. It is a cautionary tale to warn you against an unhealthy level of selfishness. But I've also learned that you should also be aware of not being selfish enough. If you aren't selfish enough the world will eat you up. It's a fine balance.

I'm not familiar with Tai Lopez but this was possibly my favorite interview you've done. Super interesting guy with a very different idea of living nomadically. Loved it.

I learned alot of different things that most nomads don't mention, most usually just stick to talking about money, travelling and locals. Tai spoke about culture, history, economics...etc.

Definitely Philippines, Brazil and Mexico are some of the nicest people, great places to go as a foreigner not thinking only about money. It’s just that their governments suck… is it possible to live in those countries and shelter yourself from government influences somehow?

I don't think it is. If you live in countries like the PH, the politicians will steal from their own sovereign wealth fund for the citizens. The issue is, governments can do whatever they want because there is no one above them to tell them otherwise. If you live in one of these countries, you can still have a wonderful life, just NEVER talk about the politics of that country. When speaking to a government official, say yes sir, or no sir. They can and will fuck you if you don't feed their egos. If you do this and stay under the radar, they will normally give you the freedom to do whatever you want.
Government influences? In general, the Philippines is FAR MORE free on a daily basis than the USA. Government red tape is there, but usually less than the USA and almost always, there is a work-around.
In general, the people are very friendly and inclusive, always ready with a smile...but you better like the tropics! Our island is mostly rural, great landscapes and white sand beaches a short walk from our door.

This was awesome. It was in my feed for weeks and I kept passing it up because for some reason I had a negative impression of Tai Lopez. Not sure why. Perhaps based on some past internet buzz or UA-cam comments. The negative impression wasn't strong enough to keep me from questioning my negative association with his name so finally I decided to click and watch. I am pleasantly surprised and this interview has erased any past doubts I held. The man is well spoken and intelligent. I find I'm in agreement with much of the rhetoric in this discussion.

What a great interview. Tai covers relationships, health, wealth, and the "Libertarian but not full Libertarianism" mindset.
I've gotta say this was a great interview, very balanced thoughts. I've generally not been a fan of Tai but as he's gotten older he's become more even keel. I like that he does point out exactly why people continue to come to the US despite all of our flaws. You can say just about anything you want here. You try that in some of these other countries popular for golden visas and CBI programs, and you'll be tossed in jail or worse. And he's also right with a lot of these other countries regarding the happiness index etc. And he makes a great point around actually getting off social media and talking to people in the streets and seeing that the US is no where near divisive as people think.

Even still I was harrassed by some old lady for standing in front of a window while waiting for my wife to leave a public bathroom. Apparantely she was eating in a restaraunt and I was blocking her view looking outward. I refused to move and it created a scene where other shop worker politely intervened and let me know she wanted me to move. I refused and waited for my wife to return. Dont let this bother you though it happens to everyone and the lady may not have been racist but may just have mental issues. It didnt bother me one bit, but Im a 6 foot male with harsh life experiences already , so your mileage may vary. Still everyone other old lady or old guy is very nice to us and our 2 kids. But there is still racism in the Japanese boomer generation. But they are all ageing out and the newer generations are awesome.

When I lived in Hawaii I was exclusively on Oahu. I went to a get together at a locals house and several of the people there had not only never been off the island, they had never even been out of their neighborhood, never been 8 miles south to Waikiki, yet they had lots of opinions on how the world works.

I grew up in NYC and there were plenty of people in my neighborhood in Brooklyn that had never or rarely ever seen the other boroughs. People come from all over the world to visit Manhattan, for example, but they couldn't even hop on the train to go there. That fun fact always blew my mind.

I think it's also important to keep in mind How did these countries conduct themselves during the pandemic. How did australit's some of those European countries lock down and how do they treat people during lockdown. We really saw who the free countries were. So while other countries do have a better standard of think it's still important to maintain the American citizenship because you're in lockdown despite the government being overbearing certain states did push to remain free a lot more than the UK certain states in Scandinavia New Zealand Australia Austria all lost their minds.
I sort of agree with you here, but no Scandinavia was not part of this group. In fact that was one of the few region of countries that kept their sanity and people pushed back against all the stupid covid measures other countries took. Also, you pointed something smart about America, but honestly the division in my opinion was mostly scene on racial demographic lines generally speaking. The more brown or non-European the city, the less push back against covid measures during 2020 and 2021, my question is that a city/country issue or a racial issue regarding awareness of health.
That is the unspoken truth, in some countries, rich expats will be a huge target, and authority will have their way. In the USA, some small communities are going to be tough for the feds to steam roll. The world could become like Palestine or Ukraine at the drop of a hat.

Wow Tai is someone I’d love to have a long conversation with. This dude is so intelligent. This is the real American history and Globally lesson that I needed. We need to learn stuff like this to navigate the world. I lived in Mexico it was a highly tremendous experience. I would buy a house there. I’m looking at Malaysia now. I’m looking at Africa and Asia. I love these philosophies of not expecting one place to give you everything. Govt is govt. accurate. My question is how do you financially get there if you are starting from ground zero? This is all new you aren’t already making large figures.

I saw a vid long time ago of him describing how he read one book a day. He would basically read the contents, a bit of the intro and last part of the book. Then choose which chapters to read and only read the parts that interest him. So no, he isn't reading full books, only what stands out :) An active form of reading. Tai Lopez was one of my first business mentors. Our entire family did his business programme. I still quote him 😁. I agree with him regarding phones for kids. We home schooled all three our kids and they are all super successful and well balanced.

Really though I love the "buy my get rich quick course" schemes. The more people that buy the course the richer the creator gets thereby boosting his credibility and confidence. The only problem is the course doesn't teach you the actual technique of building and selling a get rich quick program wich is where the real $ is at.

i like Japan but after hearing that youll probably have a 3 in 10 chance of being denied access to places like hotels, restaurants etc if your are a foreigner, not sure of the exact stat but watching some videos of people visiting it feels like its a 30% chance, educate me if Im wrong but yeah thats such a bummer because Japanese people are so friendly and nice but maybe its because the the foreigners have a bad reputation of being loud or dangerous when drunk etc who knows

I think this is something that happened more in the past than it does now.
as a general rule of thumb if you dress well you'll get into most places just fine, especially if you have a Japanese friend or GF with you.
There might be more issues in smaller towns, I don't know, but in the big cities I just never had an issue 99% of the time.

Smart guy, I got a lot of value out of his thinking. He is spot on about countries with strong family traditions and also those that still honour their traditions, even if they've changed or are an excuse for a party - it brings people together.
Did he leave Puerto Rico? I remember he said he moved to the island for those Act60 benefits. Puerto Rico is a US territory, and to qualify for Act60 you have to be on the island half the year. But now he's saying he's leaving the US and he has multiple houses, so does this mean he left Puerto Rico or he's moving to Puerto Rico for full year round? Because I've also heard other people say they are leaving the US, then go on to move to Puerto Rico. What did Tai do?

This man is just stating facts over facts. Being mixed race, third culture kid and moving around since I was young, having lived in 3 continents, he is hitting those nails right on the head.
Scandinavia is not socialist at all, but social-democrat, there is a big difference, the state exists to support the good functioning of the private economy and society. Off course there has been deviations further left here and there (60’ /70’) that took Sweden, for instance, to the brink of bankruptcy in the 80’ than they started to adjust back. Norway the same, the last 20/30 years boom was based on positive market/investor oriented policies. Last year the gov went left and we are already seeing anti economy measures and their results, if left unchecked those policies will just worsen the economy in time
But I heard that Sweden is seeing a lot of crime these days.
