The Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton showcases its innovative R808 movement, a marvel of contrasts, know-how and clever geometry, that allows a distinct view of the various parts. It’s equipped with an anti-magnetic and highly reliable NivachronTM hairspring that has been fully tested in five positions and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve. The superb matt navy blue high-tech ceramic monobloc case is topped by a polished navy blue high-tech ceramic rotatable bezel with a navy blue ceramic insert to match the case and lugs, for visual harmony. The dial is clear and spartan, with generous geometric indices and hour/minute/second hands in rhodium tones, treated with white Super-LumiNova® for best readability in low-light conditions. Thanks to a matching navy blue rubber strap and the high-tech ceramic buckle cover, the new Captain Cook shows its sporty side.
In contrast to other opinions I see it as a spark of fun!
Inspires joy, definitely a conversation starter.
Loving it!
And glad to hear it 👍🏻
The design of the captain cook watches have always been something I liked I think they look great and they're pretty well spec'd too. Great review Barry !!
I really like the Captain Cook range my pick would be the steel blue or green model 👍🏻
Hi Barry it seems to be a Marmite watch, and much would depend on how much you like blue . I think if the case was darker the watch would be more popular: I understand those who feel that it's cheap looking and adjusting the colour might improve opinions.
The concept is pretty cool though! LG Bob 🍻
Yeah but I feel thats the with mostly everything Rado makes which is a shame, I maybe back to 3 videos a week for the next few weeks as I've so many of my own videos I need to get out there Bob
Just bought the blue cc and its a compliment getter
Always good to hear from somebody who owns one ps welcome to the channel
Love the captain cook watches-I’d worry about smashing it though as my watches pick up dents like nobody’s business! Anyone else think the anchor logo on the crown looked like the Starwars rebel logo? 😂
I never thought of that 😂
Some great camera work as part of this review. Tricky dealing with all the reflections I imagine. This one is a NO for me. Admittedly, I haven’t had it in my hand, but it looks cheap and reminds me of a certain recent Swatch collaboration.
I had the sun filling the room with light and so it looks a little different to some of my other videos. Ceramic watches are a bit hit and miss its true done right with sharp edges they can look great
Looks like a cheap plastic watch I know its not. But a big problem when. Paying big money and it looks cheap
Yeah I can see that with the finish on the sides but might look better in the flesh? The smoked dial black ceramic one looks amazing
That is one problem with ceramic watches, it is true but they do look better in the flesh Michael
Yep the black one is sooooo cool
Case looks like Rado-Swatch ) In steel is much better
To freaking large!……make a 37, 38mm version.
They do a 37mm model 👍🏻
color & those skeletonize (the way they do )are not my cup of tea , if there is no logo , I would even think it was a sub 100$ watch sell in Amazon .color looks plastic .Sad to see Rado go this way .
I really like the Captain Cook models but for me I'd stick with the steel ones myself
Looks extremely cheap.
Might be better IRL 🤷
@@swanney75 Or worse?
It does look better in the flesh Sir
