ah yes, the famous two bolt technique LUL for real though, this is really helpful, these entire connection shenanigans have been one of the major things holding me off this series of modules👍
Hey AH thanks! My initial explorations (lipsk > odessa) were a little underwhelming (it mutes partials in groups), but it was only a brief test... I'm sure there's more to it.
This whole contraption is very dangerous... I don't get what musical purpose all this be subsystem is for. And that patch bay is really a ticking time bomb. Loved the vocal formant from Braids. Very vocal in a nice way. Look forward to the Odessa demo. Thanks 🙏
for the rhythm tables on Jena - do you like Lipsk before or after Jena? .... seems like after you'd have a lot of direct & coherent manual control over the rhythms if Lipsk is after Jena eh? Basically you'd just be inverting the gate sequences for each channel when arranged like that, is that correct? On the fly switching of rhythms by the press of a button for any channel seems like a hell of a hands on interactive complex rhythm controller :)
Hey vadim. My latest video in the series (about Poczdam) features a lot of patches with Erfurt. My favourite use of Erfurt is to make sequences with it. By using Lipsk as an input for Erfurt and then routing the output of Erfurt to the DAC of Drezno you can make all sorts of inspiring pitch sequences (that you can finetune with the sliders on Drezno). Other than that it offers an easy way to sync stuff to Leibniz, or to sync Leibniz to the rest of your case.
@@briesmodular thanks for the quick reply. yeah that totally makes sense. ill check out your newer stuff too, ive been a bit behind on all this recently. the erfurt is a new addition for me, so im hoping it can open up even more rhythmic possibilities
@@autopilote Yeah I made the Poczdam video first, because I know people are pre-ordering it without even knowing what it really can do and I had the luck of actually owning one of the few pre-production units far ahead of everyone else. The next video in the series should be about Erfurt, which is pretty straightforward but with some creativity it can do a lot of things. I still need to really dive in though. I think next month or so, finishing some other things first.
But what would be the optimal default order if you had Drezno, Lipsk, Jena and Erfurt all chained together? The possibilities seem endless, but if you could only have one order of these modules, what would it be?
There's many things that aren't equally distributed amongst people, but time is not one of those things. The combination of those two facts give me the opportunity and drive to make these videos. I'm just happy they are appreciated. Thanks for commenting Andrometer!
You are the man It was once told to me it takes a very smart man to simplify things to a moron (That’s me) Nice job !!! It worked Thank you for sharing your time
Finally! The most helpful and thorough explanation of this system I've seen from anyone. Thank you for that!
You're welcome! =)
Dope video as always. I’m definitely looking forward to you introducing Erfurt to the system..

It's somewhat terrifying isn't it! I thought it would be useful to show it to take the edge off of it. Thanks for commenting!
Fantastic video and attention to details, as usual. Very helpful and eye opening.
Thanks for commenting! As long as there's interesting things to explain I'll keep the series going.
Would definitely be hyped to see what Odessa connected to Leibniz is capable of. Thanks and subscribed!

Egregious self-promotion… My first album LITNITE on Bandcamp is basically just Odessa played using Leibniz.
Moskawa/Erfurt/Odessa
Is pretty good
Amazing! Would love to have a patchbay like that. Cheers
Hey t4mber. It's in the realm of possibilities! :)

excellent video and super dope sounds!
Hey thanks!
Great video and that patch bay is a great idea!
Thanks Ross!

I think that makes sense. Lipsk before Jena is probably a bit confusing (for the rhythm banks anyway).
do you have the erfurt as well? curious where you would chain it with all 4 of these

@@briesmodular ill be looking fwd to that video, your leibniz series has really helped me understand how this entire suite of modules work.

Where do you find the time

@@andrometer2382 Hey Andrometer, that's definitely not what I meant (you shouldn't call yourself a moron), but thank you for the nice compliment.
Connecting data cables wrong does not break anything but will not function :)
