I like where this is heading Brian! Man, that's a lot of work but the details pay off! I see Disneyland inspirations like Matterhorn out there on Everstoke, such a cool and fun video to watch, thanks man!
I feel like having the beep after you get over the top is the better/safer option. I know that if I got honked at while trying to going over the top it could freak me out and cause a crash lol.
Are we going to be able to order Splash Mountain-style souvenir photos??? Lol! Looks awesome! Pushing bikes up that hill is tough enough, let alone a wheelbarrow full of gear.
Hook the signal lights up and when you approach (?) the ramp the signal lights front and rear (hazards) flash for a period of time. Also a small detail but keep your eyes open for a used Beetle horn. Devil is in the details. 🙃 Great idea and fun video thanks!!
Ok here's my idea: Option 1 would be maybe a horn or some sort of distinct funny noise that goes off down by the base camp/shredquarters everytime someone goes over it. Option 2 would be a section on the website with all the gopro clips and you can sort by time. Maybe auto upload to youtube in a seperate channel, then embed those onto the website? The gopro that captures it could be on the right side of that climb road set to linear capture and the battery/solar could be put into a lil doghouse type box to keep it safe. (I can make ya a little dog house) OR you can put the gear in a cheap box behind the bug and the gopro on a tall pole on the north side of killzone. Option 3 would be a small TV back at the main hangout spot at base camp with a livestream of the gopro footage. I think this can maybe be done with a long rang wifi setup, although that would be kind of expensive. You could also just use this same idea to show the trail junction at the top of the road the bug is next to during the enduro and do a temporary live stream to the website.
Haha yeah,. that would be funny if it reported down to the bottom that someone just hit the bug! I definitely want to get an FTP folder up and running so people can just go in and find their run for that day and use it. Live stream would be so funny!
Great video! Maybe some interior lights get triggered or some 70's or 80's rock blasting from the radio. I can't see it all that well but, if you're using expanded steel for the ramps, you might want to cover the edges. Those things can really hurt someone if they land on them.
Great stuff. Too much technology that, while fun to set up, I would imagine you’re not gonna want to keep baby sitting. What about a pressure switch like on a real car horn?
Uhhmmm…just a suggestion. Maybe just a contact pressure switch under a plate on the front of the bug as you ride over it. 12v car battery and trickle charge solar panel. You could do the same to activate the GoPro for video a few feet before. You over engineered it. lol
Did some rudimentary searching, but have no idea about switches (especially ones available on Amazon). I'd need to do some kind of spring / bushing to make sure the switch doesn't just get squished and constantly honk.
Hey Brian, what do you think about putting a blue, red, yellow, or green light on one of the tree's behind Ferby? You can get an old stop light, or just a police colors strobe light. So, when you come off of Ferby, they light up for a second.
Suggestion: Use an accelerometer to sense vibration of the ramp/vehicle. Should be both more reliable and less susceptible to non-biker motions near by.
@BKXC thinking more of a spring loaded switch rather than activation. Think of the switch that is in you refrigerator or inside the jamb of a car door that switches when the door opens and closes.

Yes!! Lots of fun things to dream up

Hahaha, definitely!
My immature side is thinking that the sound effects can vary. Beep, groan, air biscuit, dog bark etc. Electronic versions exist.
Definitely need the EverStoke Logo on the doos of the Bug
Yep yep!!
Are we going to be able to order Splash Mountain-style souvenir photos??? Lol!
Looks awesome! Pushing bikes up that hill is tough enough, let alone a wheelbarrow full of gear.
Haha yep, that's the goal. Some kind of video/photo FTP that you can go in and find your keepsake.
maybe a voice that activates after you roll off, "Hey, watch it" something like that.😂
Hahaha yes! That'd be great
Excellent use of technology! I love the idea of these little Easter eggs on a trail. The headlights idea would be pretty awesome as well.
Yess! I really want the whole trail system to be an easter egg hunt

Yeah!! I like that
Add a stop light 🚦! Road sings to the trail.
Also and the fastest trail add a speed gun to let the riders know how fast they are going
Yeah that would be fun!

You saved Herbie!!!
Back from the dead!!
Great stuff Brian, very creative!
Thanks!!
Watched while eat chicken broccoli and rice for breakfast, the bug looks cool
It's a fun one!
I really enjoy the Everstoke videos!
Love to hear it!
That’s so good! Well done! 👏👏👏
Made it work!!
Paint it yellow and you've got an original Bumblebee...👍🏻
Hahaha, yes!
I like the headlight idea for a night ride but maybe add some lights on the trail that leads up to it kind of like night skiing in the winter
That's a good one!
Wow I can't wait for next season.
Hopefully it'll get here quick!

Yeah! I love the idea of a random rock playlist!!
Great stuff. Too much technology that, while fun to set up, I would imagine you’re not gonna want to keep baby sitting. What about a pressure switch like on a real car horn?
Lots of people have recommended a pressure switch, but when I look into it I've just got no idea where to start!
Lol, we used to have a bug jump at our local trails😁
Nice!!
You need a speaker as well with Herbie quotes when triggered…🤔😂
Hahaha yep!
Police siren as you continue down the trail!
Hahaha yes!

Great job Brian-could "beep beep" vs "beeeeeep" be more like bug ?
Yeah, a double hit would be much more buggy like!

Maybe a voice recording after?
Yeah! CONGRATULATIONS (in some robot voice)

Vibration sensor would be something!
😉👍
🤘🎅🤘
Better work than Gotham Garage : D
Haha!
Why not use a pressure plate instead?
Not enough of an engineer to know what to look for. Amazon / Google search of "pressure plate" is far too broad.
Rad
Imagine what would happen if a big cat or bear walks over the car !
Hahaha yep!!
Pressure activation under the hood
If you know of any good pressure activators let me know!
@BKXC thinking more of a spring loaded switch rather than activation. Think of the switch that is in you refrigerator or inside the jamb of a car door that switches when the door opens and closes.
@@bkxcsearch door jamb switch
You could have avoided all that with a cheap motion alarm for a bike and a little solar panel to keep it charged.
I like the idea of it being that simple, but an alarm is much different than a honk
looks awesome but i wonder if it would be better if the car was reversed, then you air off the back of the hood!
Haha yep, that would be pretty fun!
Dart shooter instead of lights….
Hahah, nerf gun style!!
Way overkill for the horn. All you'd need is a garage door laser and reflector with a relay.
The amount of time you spend inside that beam is milliseconds, so you might only get the slightest TOOT!
