Another fun topic: Quartz watches! Touchy subject! I was thinking about: ex.: Radiation detection watch, Depth detector in diver watches, altitude indicator, etc. There’s a myriad of detector/sensors for a whole bunch of applications other than Apple Watches. Worth talking about??? Wishing you & family a great Happy New Year! 🎊🎉👍❤️
Hello Alex, stoped by to say that a Citizen would be a better bang for the buck, as a starter watch. Seiko under $500 leaves much to be desired for. Also, San Martin, lots of specs for under $500 and is a great way to get your feet wet. Thanks for sharing.
All good points, one of the wonderful things about a community is the variety of opinion. But you are correct that Citizen is also a great chooce. And San Martin.
I will never be able to attend one of your live sessions, but I love your content.... I like the calm and not click baiting or flashy way of presenting. Keep on the good work PS I do not get the Polaris fascination. Myself I love the chronograph function eventhough I use it once a year... But like me you have a speedy, an el primero and at least one Valljoux.... what drives the urge for a JLC chrono? For me it is annoying that the regular Polaris is not even a compressor anymore...
Thanks for liking the show! I really like the way the Polaris looks, although I did not like tbe sloppy timing-bezel crown on the three-hander. The chrono just looks sharp to me. I may still change my mind, though, as my budget is not that large, and the alternatives to the Polaris are also cool. But I really like the way it looks. What woukd be a good time for you? Where are you located? I'm thinking of doing a mid-week livestream for other time zones.
@@TalkingTimepieces Concerning chronographs: you have already a speedy, zenith, navitimer, seagull, and was it Longines?.... the polaris is another round, steel chronograph. I have (minus the Navitimer) more or less the same collection... but if I look for a new chronograph, it should be something radical different... Heuer Monaco (square case and great history), Bulova Lunar Pilot meteorite dial....
If I were going to make an Investment in a Luxury Timepiece. I would ask THIS GUY 1ST!!! He knows his stuff👍🏾👊🏾🇺🇸
Thanks!!!

Got it
I have a square Santos chrono as well as a meteorite Lunar Pilot, running out of sub-10k choices. Thinking about a Monaco....
