I got the notification of like 4 or 5 toy reviewer's covering the new MOTU figures but, the moment I got the notification that Pixel Dan was going to talk about the new releases, well it was Pixel Dan for me. Thanks for all the great news
I remember last year when a certain UA-cam channel that was an “expert” on all things MOTU, said the line was done and Mattel had shafted it. Glad to see that was completely incorrect.
Come on, he got right the fact that we wouldn't find any MOTU toy in shops anymore, unless they're exclusive
I have not seen any Origins figures at the nearby WalMarts or Targets since the dreaded minicomic Stratos wave. I'm told WalMart had an exclusive Moss Man, but it must be a super secret exclusive because I've never seen him. I do see they offer him online (which is not retail in my book), but no way I'm paying 60 bucks for him. Point is, it looks like Scott was right and MOTU retail is long dead. Thank goodness for BBTS.
I love the fact that Webstor comes with the Grimalkin Statue from my Favourite episode "the Cat and the Spider"
What was it about? Something about a cat lady and the Eternians dont know if she's a bad guy or something because she snuck in looking for the statue?

Not that I'm necessarily a Scott fan, but how many of these are at retail? Other than a few random exclusives that will be as difficult to find as Origins Moss Man, I believe the correct answer is: Next to none.
He ain't wrong overall. The line has become pretty much an Internet exclusive for the huge majority of releases. Just like what he said it will be. MOTU is pretty much dead at retail with some small offerings in Target here and there. And many outlets don't stock them even. Origins are now pretty much fully online. And many of the new reveals seems to be exclusive to BBTS and EE

@@Dented_Battle_Armor Everything that isn't Marvel, Turtles or Transformers is dead at retail and even those lines are starting to slowly prioritize online retail.
Not because those lines are dying but because traditional retail for non-perishable items is declining and has been for a decade now.
It's not the 80s anymore even the largest traditional brick and mortar retailer Walmart has a robust online store.

It's amazing how we can't get color accurate turtles toys but when they do crossovers, we finally get cartoon accurate colors, like Splinter's darker magenta kimono and stuff. It shows they CAN do it, but it must be a licensing thing when it comes to the genuine character. :\
Awesome announcements! As a kid in the 80’s I would have never dream we would be getting such cool stuff in our adult years.
We should get a short 6 episode series of this line cause how cool is this looking.
Oh man, that Voltron over your left shoulder, I love it. That was one of my favorite toys as a kid (wished I had the castle too). I'm not a collector (live vicariously through you), but if there's anything I might buy, it would be that Voltron.
I think "King splinterskull" would've been a better name for that Mashup. Or even just King splinter

I love how the stealth ninja He-Man still has his foot sticking out of his boot, it’s good visual storytelling. Also it appears He-Man needs a new pair of boots for his next birthday, guy has ninja stealth equipment but not a backup set of footwear?
My personal fave as a crossover fig is Bebop-Steady, but that mutated Mer-man is dope! The translucent colours and design alone are amazing but adding the fish tail pushes him into the Stratosphere.
And us Mega contrux collector's are just sitting in the corner waiting for our turn.
That line is dead, sadly. The War Sled and Laser Bolt have been cancelled.
@@Rocket1377 I wonder if they will finish Eternia. That was the main reason I didn't pick it up,the line was slowing down. Wasn't sure if they would be able to do the other 2 towers.
If there’s one Motu figure I was going to get is skeletor with his awesome throne, because I love figures with big thrones

Teela's gear kind of reminds me of Shredder, with the way the fins/blades are on the helmet, and on her wrists. Also, I do hope we get another Donatello without the Man-at-Arms helmet, since we're getting another Leo. So we can have all the turtles with regularish head sculpts. And now we got us a Disco Merman to go with our Disco Skeletor!
The Ram Man mask for Casey was a solid choice in my view. Of course there were other options like a mashup of his Hockey Mask & Grayskull, but the one they went with also works - especially in the context of his friendship with Raphael - as the non-masked Ram Man helmet was used for him.
Really cool news. I am pretty sure because of the head sculpt of Reptiax (or what his name was) that we will get a Fang-man in the filmation series later.

Throne Skeletor looks fantastic, just hope they fixed the issue with the Havoc Staff being too heavy for his wrists

the two-bad version was great, I am not sure Tokka and Rahzar would work but I'd like to see more of that style, Bepop and Rocksteady is of course a great choice!

Yeah, even in North America, it's disappointing how difficult it's been to get a lot of the recent MOTU figures at MSRP. Mattel Creations has been selling out quickly, retailer exclusives have been scarce...
With some toylines (Transformers, in particular, since it has such a big international footprint) the retailer exclusives are usually available on UK websites like In Demand, but not MOTU.
Love the new Masterverse figures. Hope we get some more New Adventures love in that line at some point
Some truly incredible looking reveals! I don't collect the Turtles line, but that Mer-Man is a work of art! Need that for sure. That Leech is sick, and makes me anticipate Mantenna even more. Was hoping to see Origins Two-Bad and Modulok, but know we'll probably see them before too long. Also hope we see a New Eternia Fisto before the year is out!

That Skeletor with throne is pretty sick, but that's the same body (except for the head and calves and paint details) from the New Eternia version that came out. Definitely excited about that Merman, Sy-clone and 2BopSteady though 😅
With the rest of the Turtles of Greyskull line, I think that Michaelangeo is setting himself up as a decoy so that Leo and He-Man can completely their stealth mission. (Added) I'm guessing that Casey's weapons glow green, because he's soaked them in mutagen.

Mikey's armor homages the *Flying Fists* armor not *Battle Armor*. ...I wondered if a TMNT take on the Flying Fists Mace would be one of his weapons, but looking at the full(presumed) Packout, doesn't appear that it is. It must've been considered at some point. The wig is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣, but glad it comes off.

Pixel Dan The color on Prince Adams jacket is completely wrong, Why is it red like the original orgins prince Adam and not pink like it is in the filmation cartoon? Sure hope they fix the color on that

The collector is pretty cool. I think the Turtles of Grayskull line could use a vehicle… I see a mash up of the Party Wagon and the Filmation Attak Trak. I still think it would be cool if the that vehicle got a toy version. Heck, I’d take an update of the classic toy Attack Trak, as I got He-Man and the Attak Trak for my 5th birthday way back when.

My holy moly reaction was your intro and the trinkets on the top shelf ha ha. I did my preorder of the new MOTU vehicle. I like the Collector is big enough for 3 figures. Mikey would do that ha ha. I still don't know about the movie Beast Man version. I want to get the first 3 but now I don't know if I want more figures out from the live action movie. The Turtles of Grayskull, Shredder was the only one that appealed but now maybe need to add Splinter ha ha. Okay, I guess I need to add April too, she looks amazing and that hammer is super. Two Bad version of Rocksteady and Bebop.....nope. Vipor looks really cool. That's a great idea to use the tower look. The Crimson Horde Trooper is awesome. I will be on the lookout for that. Leech is pretty cool. I definitely am going after the Skeletor on his throne. I can't wait for Despara to come out.

I know nothing about MoTU but thought that was a TMNT Merdude figure which may become my headcanon once he's on my shelf 😅

Michaelangelo’s armor looks more like that of Flying Fists He-man. The faux belt on the bottom of the armor is a telltale sign.
Seeing the Collector means we may get the Attack Trak
It's weird that the hover robot is with a horde trooper, they were reverse engineered from the troopers, but they're solidly evil warriors aligned. Also, that hover robot is definitely a recolor of the Classics hover robots that came as a three pack, so hopefully we do get normal versions for origins, but technically this is a reuse of that older sculpt, not a new sculpt. They scale very well with origins, so I'd be happy to have more than the three I've already got.
The Faker head sculpt is perfectly good for He-Man. The problem is that the promo pics of Thunder Punch He-Man show what appears to be substantial shadowing for the eyes, almost as if he's wearing mascara. That's the problem, if any for me, which is a paint app issue, not a sculpt issue.
Great video Pixel Dan. Your enthusiasm for these properties is infectious. Since we are getting Hordak in the Turtles of Grayskull line a hybrid of the Foot Soldiers from the ‘87 cartoon fused with the Horde Troopers would be awesome.
