@@CaptainDijangowhy's it everyone has to cope with scary doom wads by saying doomguy can blow up ghost monsters? How are you supposed to blow up a ghost?
Lasting light is a good horror, like a classic survival game. But I'm interested - are there any "untypical" horror wads, where you can resist, fight back, but it's still scary? Like a Cry of Fear. Also it would be great to see wad where is no deep darkness, screamers, but the map itself can make you feel uncomfortable, even without music.
Cold as Hell has real nice atmosphere and can be genuinely creepy. There was also a mod called Apocalypse, or something like that, which also has awesome, Lovecraftian atmosphere.

That was the scariest scene in the entire movie. You, my brother and his friends seem to be the only people I've seen that thinks that illustration looks hilarious.
The monsters only spot you when you fully look at them. If you bury your nose in a corner and then after awhile inch looking, you'll be able to get a good look at them just standing there behind you. I would sometimes do this and wait for a stalker to spawn and then draw her into the Commander Keen room on MAP32 and hop onto that platform where the Exit usually is. She cannot reach you unless you're too far to the edge and you can observe her further.
@@rampantsarcasm2220 Not really, this mod is clearly based off random pop-ups. There isn't anything special added for entering the rooms other than the pop-ups are more likely to occur. If the mod was creative, they would have specialized items in the room.

What would have really made this mod more intense is if you needed to find an item to exit and it would be spawned in a random place in the level. You could even make a menu option for needing a certain number of items needed to exit. Now instead of just finding the keys by map memory, you would be forced to scour the level as well. And the scientist lady? If she "gets" you, she steals an item and it appears again randomly on the level. Now you have to find it again.
