    Dude you just saved me ALOT OF MONEY!!!! Ive called plumbers out twice they pumped septic tank twice. I was about to go get a pipe bladder. Still think its a good idea for clogs. I watched your video after seeing you could use a plunger. IT WORKED! Took a couple of minutes then i heard a noise from the septic tank. Then water went down. FIXED!!!! NO MONEY SPENT! My Wife and i didnt have much money this week. Watched your video, SAID A PRAYER,and did what you said. FIXED! THANK YOU GOD, AND THANK YOU SIR!!!❤❤❤❤❤

    Bro -- for the past 3 years I have spent $300 dollars on plumbers every year to clear a drain. I purchased augers to no avail one year. I almost purchased a 600 auger today but Home Depot was packed and no one could help me remove the auger from the shelf. I came home to search up "How to unclog an outdoor drain with an auger", and lo and behold, you're here doing it with a 2 dollar plunger. Thanks a lot lol.

    This absolutely works. I've used the method multiple times. I will add that there's one one thing you're doing in the video that could changed to make it even more effective. You plunged multiple times and the water squirted out of the sides. If you plunge hard just once or twice, and then the key part is, on the down plunge you hold your plunger down really tight on the sides so no water sprays out. Trapping all of that pressure from the moving water inside of the pipe. This maximizes the pressure and vaccume rather that quickly pumping and walking away.

      @closinginonclosure will this work after plumber came and use the 50ft snake?
      He said he couldn't put the camera in because of the water. Now he said he know for sure it's sewer line now I gott wait on the city. And it doing exactly like this video...

    • @closinginonclosure
      @closinginonclosure 8 місяців тому +1

      @@malissaspain6573 An auger/snake being used has no bearing on whether you can use this method or not. This can be effective without using a snake, or if a snake has been used. Although I will say, if a snake didn't work, you may have a more serious clog or potentially worse, a collapse or root problem. But that's not for certain and just because a snake didn't work doesn't mean this method won't. I'd absolutely try this first before anything else. Also, if the water level is low you can try this, but if you aren't having success, add water to your pipes by flushing your toilet or running your tub so your clean out fills up. Weight if water can be your friend with stubborn clogs.
      Definitely try plunging your clean out. I've cleared the toughest of clogs by doing this. Create a tight seal. No air escaping and as much pressure as possible. Run hot water too if it's being stubborn. Feel free to message back if you have any questions. I'm on American central time and if you comment during normal hours I should be able to reply in a reasonable amount of time. Good luck!

    • @andrewsaffle
      @andrewsaffle 7 місяців тому

      Plumer here... The part that you have had to do it multiple times should be your cue to call a plumber with a main line machine.. you are probably clogged off roots.. get thise cut out it will be a few years before it will need to be done again.

    • @closinginonclosure
      @closinginonclosure 7 місяців тому

      @@andrewsaffle I appreciate the advice my friend, but I've done it multiple times at multiple properties of mine. Renters can sometimes be a little less considerate with how they care for and maintain plumbing, as repairs aren't on their dime. There is one of my properties that I've used this method on twice but a little over a year apart. I also tend to attempt most projects myself and only hire a contract of necessary for some reason. I've also used an auger. I just rent one for a few hours from home depot and do it myself if that's the route I end up needing to take. And there definitely was one time had to use root cutting attachments. This plunging method works just fine for any ordinary clog that isn't due to major root problems or a pipe collapse, or something of the more catastrophic nature.

    Another problem solved 👌 😌 👍, man I've been at it for a good 30 minutes with a 30 ft snake trying to make it work and I was breaking through some what and I said let me UA-cam this problem real quick and sure enough after 3 pumps I got it unclog and boy was that satisfying. Thank you very much for teaching me something new today. And sharing it with the world truly a life saver and money saver beats the hell out of renting a 150 ft snake or calling a plumber to clear up what you taught me

      As a plumber this isn't a good idea... first . If you did actually get this clear... and it stayed clear... SHEER DUMB LUCK.
      in your own video you still had flow issues. That means 1 of 3 things.
      1. You partially cleared the clog, enough to allow flow
      2. Your clog is being caused by roots, this will re clog in a few weeks
      3. You blew out your sewer main seal...knowing that you plunged it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get a Liscensed Excavation Plumber in there to snake your drain pipe.. if you're seal is blown.. your little home Fix it idea just cost you minimum $7000

    Thanks for the video. We are on a septic system and the cleanout pipe is only a few feet from the tank. I slowly opened the cap to the cleanout pipe until water started coming out. I let it bleed out until it quit. I bought a cheap accordion type plunger from Walmart that fit the cleanout cap perfectly. A couple plunges did the trick. Now my cleanout pipe is dry unless we use water. Thanks for the video.

      I'm not really sure on the clean-up, at my house it's in a flower bed so it's all contained. I just let it sit there and dry and take it into a trash bag. And it can smell bad initially but it's not really a lingering smell, so it should be okay.

    How often do you have to do this? This happened to me for the first time today and I followed your video and it worked like a charm, I hope this doesn’t happen often

      This house was built in the early 1940's my granddad built it. There's been huge pecan trees all around the property so the lines do get clogged with roots so we have plumbers clean out the line every couple years. This usually would only happen if there was months of continuous usage of the drains. My aunt lives there and generally I'd do this twice a year. One time I did it 3 times in one month and that SUCKED but somebody's gotta do it

    If you know 100% your line is plastic all the way to the main/septic this may be a solution. If it’s clay, you’re only making your problem worse, as there are roots growing into the line. Toilet paper grab and stays with those roots causing the blockage. Over time those roots grow from the size of your hair to the size of your thumb. The bigger they get, the more they will eventually break the pipe, causing mud, sand, stone, etc to wash away and collapse the pipe. Ultimately, called a professional as your not solving your actual problem, but creating a temporary solution

      I know that, my aunt lives in that house and she'd have the plumber out usually once a year to get the roots and growth out of the line. This is just for your everyday Joe who wants his commode to flush

    I could see where that would work if you were close to the stoppage but if it’s 30 or more feet down the line I don’t see that working

      Usually clogs are in or around the cleanup. This is a temporary fix if it's a chronic issue, and yes, it's ineffective if the clog is too far down but usually that's not the case
