It was probably the mage that wants to fight you, he attacked me in the same area too, funny thing is he started complaining "this is a one on one duel" because my companion attacked him when he attacked me, then he surrendered but got up and started attacking me more so I killed him.
This was my first time playing the game and didn't know what would happen if a guard walked by so I hid him in the bushes at the store across the street from the blacksmith it was nighttime when he attacked me.

After getting all that gold, I'm still doing the free house glitch.
Lee-Roy Buckley: you go near a cabinet, say you can buy the house (you actually need the gold first) then do a slow time shout, then hide the gold in the cabinet, then u get the key and then you just get ur gold back.

There's an easier way to go out of bounds in Whiterun. From the gate, head left towards the Hall of the Dead, then go right, heading for the tree. Stop at the house of Gray-Mane. Get really close to the corner window of the house and you'll slowly fall through the floor. 180 back the same way following the water and you'll be under the wall and out of bounds.
Also, if you can't fast travel from under skyforge, just follow the stairs leading from the Companions building to the tree and jump through.
Press Like if still hasn't patched.

Sadly, what's shown in the video is the only way to the chest. If you try to go straight to the companion building after falling through the floor, you'll hit an invisible wall. So it's important to turn back towards the Hall of the Head after falling through and turn left. You'll go down a small hill leading under the wall and out of bounds, which is really close to the starting spot for the other method in the video.
Walter Acevedo You can also go into Dragonsreach and grab a platter from one of the tables and go outside head over to Jorrvaskr and go to the very far left of the building drop your platter and hold it against the wall that faces the path that leads to the skyforge and then whirlwind sprint into the wall and you should go through and then turn 180°

Or you could just use a wooden plate to walk through the wall near the gate instead of jumping over it. After that just follow the wall outside of Whiterun. Easiest way to do it I assure you.

When doing the first glitch, you can loot the chest then walk back up where you came from a few steps and then go to the left of the chest below the grindstone. Wait 48 hours there, then wait for the blacksmith to sit on the grindstone. Jump up and spam the action button to start chat with him, select the option to see his shop and it will reset the chest. You can do this infinitely.
For people wondering, it still works even in 2020

@@seantestani2455 you can rest for 48 hours in game time and as long as you’re in the right spot the loot will respawn in the chest.
I’m pretty sure you can actually do the vendor glitch for this chest as well. Go up to him, save the game, attack him to make him Aggro, the reload the save. Then that should refresh the chest.

The first glitched chest is actually the shop inventory for Eorlund Graymane, the blacksmith that works the Skyforge.

Skyrim is an RPG, but the confusion comes in when people don't realise that there are subgenres of RPGs. For example, the Final Fantasy series and the Shining Force series could be classified as JRPGs while Skyrim, Dark Souls and Fable are Fantasy/Action RPGs. All of those are RPGs but since the term RPG is quite broad they are broken up into subgenres. Of course it doesn't matter what genre you classify it as, it's all still fun nonetheless, so just enjoy the games and have fun! :D
@Shawn Cottrell the Sims is more like a sandbox simulation-type game (hence the name The Sims), I wouldn't really classify that as an RPG. Yes, you create characters and such, but you also create families, houses and pretty much everything else. Since there are no real objectives in the Sims other than to create what you want and do what you want, that makes it fall more into the sandbox simulation-type genre

There is an easier way to get out of whiterun, go to the center of the town with the big tree (where the guy is preaching)
Looking towards to marketing placeing standing near the tree go right (towards the crypts)
The first house has a glitched spot on the grass patch under the window. You'll fall through it and then you can easily walk out of whiterun (mind the barriers) and then you can walk around to the hidden chests by the rocks as well as the companions blacksmiths chest.

What you can also do at the 5th chest: Wait 48hrs in the glitch, wait until the smith goes to that grinding stone, jump up talk to him, ask whats for sale -> content of chest will be reset

ESO there is a chest for whiterun anymore. I’m looking at it right now and there’s nothing. I’m actually paused at the point where u say “ now ur gonna wanna jump over this nxt section otherwise u can get stuck here” if u notice on this vid u don’t see that the chest is there until u just over that section. But when I just did it, no chest😢. I did get the 1 in solitude tho, but unfortunately it’s all stolen so u can’t make any $ from it. As far as I kno there’s not a way of selling stolen property in the game is there?

I just farm iron ore and transmute it into gold ore to make gold ingots. Then I craft a bunch of gold rings. After that I summon the Dremora Merchant with the ability gotten in the Dragonborn questline called "Black Market", the merchant has 2000 gold for you to get by selling gold rings to him.
ReeseCup Gamer After I get the item enchantment "banish", I buy all iron ingots from a merchant, make them into iron daggers and enchant them with banish.
To get many soul gems you can take a bow with soultrap and buy empty soul gems from merchants, then just go hunting. Every iron dagger gets 1000 gold worth. With this tactic I got smithing and enchanting to 100. Speech also got higher.
Once you did this, you will never have money problems again in this game.
This and the good old iron daggers /dwemer bows.
Enchant things with stamina damage/ better sneak and you can sell it for a lot of money while elveling smithing and enchanting.
Mine Iron More, Transmute to Gold (+Alteration), then forge gold rings (+Smithing), take rings to Enchanter and use lots of petty soul gems to enchant each one with Muffle or Waterbreathing (+Enchanting), Sell the rings to Farengar/Arcadia/Belethor for heaps of gold (+Speech) (+gold)

For the first glitch, you can also clip out by going to a different spot:
Go from Dragonsreach to the town square with the large tree, cross through the western mini-bridge, then go to the building on the right of that area. There should be a spot on the house where it’s a window with designs in the wood on either side. Walk towards the window, then you should slip down. Once your down, head west, then go to the canal’s waterfall. Go under that wall chunk, avoid the pit, and then continue to go around the walls as in this video

+Khaled Reza I think your onto something. try killing a few followers then use console commands to teliport to them. Then seek counciling
Bethesda uses storage chests for a merchant's inventory, they're usually underground but they left some above and able to get to by the player, in this case, eso used a glitch to get to one of their chests that aren't meant to be opened by the player.
And by glitch, i mean bethesda didn't bury it low enough.
NPC Inventory's != Merchant container, which means your items are on you.

Khaled Reza they left it in weird positions to try and stop people from using them you dumb fuck.
There is actually a much easier way to do this where you don't have to travel as far and don't have to fast travel at all.
Go behind the Companions building. Grab a bowl off one of the tables so you're holding it in front of you and it is not in your invertory. Go to the wall directly behind the building with the practice dummies with your bowl in hand. Aim just to the right of the part of the wall that sticks out a bit further (there is a practice dummy there. You should aim between the dummy and the part of the wall that sticks out a bit further) and sprint (bowl in hand) towards it. You'll end up outside just like in the vid, but you'll be a *LOT* closer.
You end up outside right next to the Skyforge. Takes about 5 seconds to run up and around to where the rocks are that you have to walk through.
You can also do it without the jumping and fast traveling. There are different parts of the rocks you can go through, but that's too much typing.
Oh, and thanks for the other ones. Didn't know about those.

Also, once your back there you don't have to jump to reach the chest, and if you walk around and up you can get right underneath his grindstone where he sits, and if you jump while looking at his foot you can actually start dialogue while under the map so you can just wait 48 hours, jump and talk to him, and then walk back to the chest, just rinse and repeat and you'll have a ton of gold and weapons, oh and also, if you spam that a few times and keep the itsms, then you can just jump to his foot and sell all of the stuff back to him from the past few times you've looted, then walk back and grab the stuff back, if you do this a ton your speech skill will go up super fast

Just an FYI the dawnstar chest and I believe the Windhelm one works for this as well. You don't need to wait 2 days. Take everything from the chest you want, run back to the kahjit merchant or the companion guy (forget his name lmao) save your game then kill the merchant, load your last save, and this is the most IMPORTANT part, talk to the merchant and scroll through items and then loot chest again. Do that until you've got what you need!
For the whiterun glitch there is an easier method ( I play 360) where you go to the area in town where there is a circle of lavender and you can walk through a section of a house's wall (with a window) and go under the map. Once there go to the water and go under it and you are out of the map (be careful though, you can easily get stuck if your not careful where you step!!!) once outside the map, continue going to Dragon's Reach and take the same steps as in this video to get to the chest!

Hey guys, I don't think many people know this, but actually in the merchants chest in white run, you can just run through the stair case to get back into whiterun without fast traveling
Actually, for number 5, you can just take a platter, and clip through the wall where the chest is. I found this by accident once, it only works with a platter and not a kettle, witch would explain why everyone thinks you have to go around
You can also use wooden plates buckets and baskets. I didn’t even know the platters worked😂
I searched for them all, found them all, sold everything and equated to 40,000 gold
ESO there are another 6 in the dorms in the college of winterhold. 4 on the right side, 2 on the left. Do the wallbreach glitch with a bucket. On the right, go in between the rooms with a pelt on either side. Once you breach, do a 180 and spam your open chest button. Once done it will allow you to get one of the 4 chest that contain destruction, illusion, restoration, or alliteration. On the left, there is the last kind of spell (I forgot the name of it). They all include gold, soul gems, and more. Make sure it is between 12 and 5 in the morning when done, if not you could be seen and they will take all of your stolen items including the ones you just looted. These chests reset every 48 hours (2 days in game) like this comment if you want ESO to see it.

Just tried it then but it opens up a playstation menu with all my saves on it, not the in game skyrim one that tells you how many hours

@@darknova9978 I meant regular as in the standard version. Special edition and the remastered version are slightly different and from what I understand both SE and The Remastered version of Skyrim tend to have patches for certain glitches although I might be wrong so feel free to prove me wrong.

For the first one you don't need to fast travel just walk through the stairs
and you don't need to do the barrel glitch. Just go to the companions area and walk behind to the porch. Pick up the blue bowl and run between the left of the torch and right of the training dummy, Time saved and easier to do

3:38 another way to get out is to walk/jump to the stairs of Jorrvaskr, you'll clip back in to Whiterun, saves you a loading screen
With the 1st glitch you don't have to fast travel, you can just walk to the stairs in front of Yorvasker, (the companions building), and walk through the steps

The first glitch has an easier way, if you go to the dummy's outside of the companion "fort" pick up a bucket (by holding the use button on it) shove it against the wall and whirlwind sprint towards the bucket

The chests in Markarth and Solitude are actually swapped so its not as easy as your think. The Solitude chest actually belongs to the Markarth caravan, while the Markarth chest belongs to the Solitude caravan. The easiest way to reset the chests is to save your progress, hit the Khajiit merchant with a weapon, load your save up, and talk to the Khajiit. You'll notice her stock is different. There is also a hidden chest in the Dushnik Yal orc stronghold near the smithing area. If you do a quest for the female orc smith, you can loot the entire chest without any of the items being marked as stolen, even if they appear as stealable items in the chest.
Also the chest in whiterun you can take everything become over weighted and still get out. Just go to stairs leading to skyforge. The wall next to stairs and walk up. Once your body is half above ground jump and poof above ground. No more wasted items.

There is an easier way to get outside of whiterun, and the method is the same as you do in the ragged flaggon, up at the back of jorrvaskr grab a bowl - any bowl - now looking at the training dummies against the wall, you want to hold the bowl forward and sprint inbetween the 2 most left dummies. (sprint into the flat bit of the wall and not the section that sticks out) I dont know if many people know this but it's so much less hassle than the barrel jumping :)

do you have to sell the lot? There's some things I wanted to hold onto like the ingots for smiting training
I use the whiterun glitch to farm unlimited gold and items then I buy every weapon with enchants to farm those then I buy or take the iron ore transmute it to silver then gold and craft jewelry to max smithing after that you pretty much have any normal item in the game as well as unlimited funds just wait to days to reload I know how to walk through the wall so there is no need to jump into the barrel and I know how to walk out of the glitch while overweight listen to my man and max out your skyrim file max speech craft also by selling to bulbasaur or whatever his name is he tried to sell me his sister one time yea that dude dont forget to buy up ur grand soul gems and deadra hearts so you can reem some dragons in skyreem.

I was able to leave Whiterun jumping from the barrel without sneaking back over the wall to the wider gap. I just continued jumping forward once I was on the wall and ended up outside Whiterun. Looting the chest : D I got them all except one... which I will get today. Thanks a lot for these vids ESO. I wonder how you found that chest in Whiterun glitch lol. Cheers
I know this is an older post, still love your stuff ESO but a quick note, I still play on a 360 and to get out the Whiterun glitch all I have to do is walk toward where the stairs would be for Jorrvaskr would be and I walk right out by the Gildergreen and I am in a normal, active Whiterun just like I left it.
Not sure if this works on other consoles or on PC.

There is multiple in riften (the theives guild). So what your gonna want to do is go to the part where you can find tonilia, delvin, vex, etc. Then go to the door that goes to the ratway, and drop a plate or something to phase through a wall, and go through the wall, and drop into the water and swim around in it (to the chests) and loot them, it counts as stealing, but as far as im aware no one notices. There are 3 smithing ones, an alchemist one, tonilias, and vekels. They all have gold and some items you can sell back to the guild members.

i found a way to collect the shopkeepers money and all of there items without hard work
am doing it always at the same location
(arcadia's shop in whiterun)
but lets make a step by step guide how i do it (by the guide helps i learned from you)
note put your controlle sensetivity to the highest
1. Collect 2 or 3 "do not delete" (chest)
2.Get a platter (beter then a plate ;) )
3.Get a bow and arrow's
4.Get to the second floor at arcadia's shop
5. use the wall to the side where the counter is located
6.face the platter with the top side to the wall
7. now run to the wall
8.when you start to fall loop down and place the first "do not delete"
(its would be around the merch chest)
9.quick safe the game
10. place second "do not delete" under de roge where arcadia would normaly stand
11. now jump over to the chest under de roge
12. try to talk to her true the floor
the option to talk to her showed under her
13. buy everything you can
14. when your out of money loot the merch chest (take only the money)
other items will be considered stolen and can not be sold
15.quick safe the game after taking you money back
16. shoot arcania true the floor
17. Reload the game
18 start buying everything again
19. Optionel invest into the game
20. Optionel unlock the last perk of speech
(this exploite makes it that you take all her stuff without payment and it wil not considered stolen while leveling your speech) (and you take 500 , 1000 or 2000 gold everytime you do the shop refres)

Didn’t know about the third and fifth ones, thanks bud! Also, in case you didn’t know, you can walk through the stairs past yorvaskr after collecting all of the chests items. This way it saves you time.
Easier Method: Do the potion glitch (UA-cam it) then enchant aromor with fortify smithing with an insane amount. Then craft a shit tonne of Iron daggers, upgrade them, and they'll give you all of a merchants gold when you sell them. Then either find another merchant, or reset that merchants money. If you've invested with the 100 speech perk (Very easy to get after selling like 3 daggers) This becomes even more efficient, aswell as giving you 100 Alchemy, 100 Smithing, 100 Speech and potentially 100 Enchanting. Subscribe to My channel and I'll make an in depth tutorial on how to do this very simply

However that is an exploit that upgrades all of those skills faster, so for people who don't want to glitch levels but do want extra gold, these are much more useful.

Szerniel Actually no, if you read my comment correctly I was talking about glitching "levels" not gold... Meaning some people don't want to do a glitch that will increase a bunch of skills but instead just get extra gold.
I'm not sure if if anyone else know this one, but FYI you can('t) get it sometimes this is really hard. But what you need to do is go to Riverwood and go inside the Riverwood trader, now I'm going to explain this the best I can... But once you're inside you know that one chair Camila Valerius sits in? Near the fire? Well behind her there's a few barrels, basket, a kettle, a shelf and a few pots. Go behind near the "stealable barrel" go inside that kettle then go into sneak mode (!!!!SAVE YOUR GAME THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!), make sure your not detected get near Camila Valerius pickpocket her and make sure your caught! If not I'm pretty sure this won't work! Once you're caught reload that saved game that's near her in the kettle and Ta-da! Your gliched through the floor! But there's not floor underneath it, but! There's a big old merchant chest across! I haven't figured out how to get anywhere near it as it's hard! But I found this out while shitten around!

For the first chest their is an easier way you just need a plate then there's a spot behind jorvaskr you'll need the full version of the whirlwind sprint shout and a plate go behind jorvaskr and you'll see a spot where you can look out over the world you then take the plate and put it against the wall and use whirlwind sprint if you're at a low level you might die cause there is a large chance of not landing on a close by rock I almost died at level 57 fully nude with over 200 hp
The Whiterun Glitch, can be done even easier if you have a wooden plate. There is a spot on the Cliffside between the Underforge Door and the Archery Target. Look carefully at the rock wall there will be a flat area with a dark spot, you can use a wooden plate to glitch through it like most walls, it's in the bushy are btw.

One more trick for selling back to the Kajit, especially if they're right next to the chest - you can use a console command to give then more gold so you can sell everything without having to wait 2 days, causing the caravan to leave.
When you go to sell items, open the chat to sell, then open the console by hitting "~". Then click on the npc and type in "additem 0000000f 25000" to give the npc an extra 25k gold. You can give them more, but keep their total no higher than 32,000. At some point between 32 and 33k it will glitch and you won't actually gain gold when selling.
I do this on normal play-throughs at merchants just to avoid wasting time by waiting 2 days for every 4500ish gold. I don't feel that it detracts from the immersive gameplay because then I'm not literally staring at a progress bar.
In whiterun, I was messing around and found another way out.(I play on the switch)
First you go to the companions house, and in the back there are ceramic pot things. Pick one up, hold it against city wall on the far right of the companions place,in between the torch and the dummy with the sword and shield . then just walk through the wall or use whirlwind sprint. It may not work and you way have to find a different spot on the wall, but I found it easier and faster than jumping on the barrel...
Go to the companions guild hall grab a bowl put it against the wall and use whirlwind sprint ITS *EASIER*
*Also just run to the dam stairs to get out !! fast travel 😂*
can you put your saves from the normal skyrim to the new one?

I have done the whiterun glitch so much, I know pretty much everything
Tips:
•Instead of fast traveling back to whiterun, In case you are encumbered, you can actually just keep walking slightly to the right of under the blacksmith's, and you can just walk through the set of stairs.
•If you want, you can just wait inside the glitch for 48 hours to reset his inventory, and wait until he goes to his grindstone. Then just walk under him and jump up and down, trying to get as much height as possible, and spam the action button to try to talk to him. if you do, ask what he has for sale, and just leave the convo. then his inventory will be reset and you can re-loot the chest.
Ttler Weibel it could possibly be any mods that you have installed. things like the unofficial patch and other random mods can remove glitches as this. if not, try leaving, re-entering the city, and talking to him, then do the glitch. if not, I'm not sure what it might be, and I would try a different glitch, like the dawnstar chest glitch, which is just about as good as this one. you can find soul gems, potions, enchanted armor, ingots, 750 gold, and other valuables. also, it's a lot easier than this, and to reset the dawnstar chest, you must talk to the traveling khajiit caravan that is located on the outskirts of the front of the city. the only real problem with that one is that the caravan isnt always there, so you might have to wait more than 48 hours. if not, there are other chest glitches like the ones located in the video, but I'm not a huge fan of them, as they usually require to steal from the chest. if you dont mind stealing, just go ahead and do them. the best one in that instance, is the 4 chests located in the thieves guild. the only other reliable ones that dont require stealing are the caravan outside solitude, and markarth. hope this helps!
