Can you please review Remain In Light by Talking Heads at one point? I know it's not electronic, but it pioneered the use of samples in music and I would love to hear your opinion on it!
I decided to check in a while since watching your videos, and that intro about enunciation gave me flashbacks to when i pointed out on one of your patricia taxxon vids that you kept calling her he. Yeah, feel kinda mean how condensending i was then... but it's nice to see you are trying to improve it : )
I don't particularly vibe with the post-Entranas output of hers, nothing objectively bad. Admire her constant evolution as an artist. I just REALLY wish I got more stuff like the Mutant title-track (or the string of tracks up until Anger)
great review, i'm a big arca fan and i'd give this album the same score probably. have you listened to the @@@@@ single she put out before this album? that was amazing and is probably my favourite thing she has done aside from xen and entranas. i'm definitely still excited for whatever she puts out next!
I've unfortunately never really gotten into any of Arca's albums. I find her first two albums to be "Hey look guys here's something cool did with my synth" never to fully flesh them out (more prevalent on Xen for me) and her recent stuff with the vocals kinda put me off. This album in particular however sounded like other Deconstructed Club albums but now with Latin influences (two things in not huge on) and left me extremely underwhelmed.
@@TheWonkyAngle Thanks for the reply. Did not expect it sincerely. After I put the question, I went on to search for other Bjork reviews, and found your take on Homogenic. Maybe someday you can review some highly well recieved albums at the crossroads between electronic and other genres. Thanks! Keep up the good work! :)
I tried to get into Arca several times, I succeeded the third time. I enjoyed Xen (I really enjoy listening to "experimental" artists such as Autechre, OPN, etc), but the more I was digging her albums the less I was enjoying her work. The last album didn't click with me at all.
Shygirl is a british rapper and producer, she's amazing
Its really interesting, i feel pretty comfortable listening to it
Yayyy, I love Arca! Thank u for reviewing
