As we consider what fasting is, we can see that as the Christian fasts with the right reason they are worshiping God. Why? Because the believer fasts because Christ the Bridegroom is taken away (Matt. 9:15), and their longing is for Him. The Christian's desire is to be seen fasting by the Father and not by man, so that the Father who sees them in secret will reward them.

I was just meditating on this earlier. Many ppl rally and do all types of hunger strikes, and puts their bodies under strict restrictions, but Christians are willing to do it to see the fruit of God achieved.

Please pray for me. I have wanted to try fasting for a long time, but I am afraid because of health reasons. This was a wonderful message, thank you.
