It’s the historical buildings and the great architecture over centuries that have made London so great. Unfortunately there have been too many 3rd rate modern structures allowed that are unworthy of a place in a great city. The good news is that the situation is beginning to change with new buildings of far better quality.
The old architecture is blessed. The new buildings are a blight. I like the Gothic and some Georgian .It sounds like their restoring buildings. Good feel of the city. Sure would like greenery and life
A thought came to mind. Even though you are walking alone filming you are still not alone because you have so many people who walk with you virtually enjoying the sights. Thank you, dear Sanpo, have a great day.
Thank you once again Sanpo. A large mug of tea, a selection of biscuits, sitting with feet up watching one of your videos, my “go to comfort zone “ anytime.
@@sanpostroll2107 Lovely - I was really hoping it would be! London has had much more than where we are in Norfolk, I feel quite cheated, hardly enough to make a snowball!
I worked at an ad agency in Parker Street from 1960 to 1964 and walked from Holborn to Temple each day. In those days all the old buildings were still covered in black soot and grime. And I remember a band used to play in Lincoln's Inn Fields at lunch time, while girls played netball right nearby.
Dear Sanpo thank you so much for doing great videos in your channel ! You always give us a happiness by the stroll , keep them coming ! 👍 Greeting from Kuwait 🇰🇼
Thank you again. I have been to London a few times. And I love seeing neighborhood row houses and to me old fashioned hotel placed right in the middle if regular blocks of homes. Riding the subway (the Tube) there is nice. I do miss seeing friends there.
Thank you for another fantastic walk Sanpo. Lincolns fields is not an area I have explored. Some impressive architecture and buildings. It's strange to think that the BBC world service was bigger than anything else the BBC had at the time. I love the Pub with the Edgar Wallace reference. Edgar Wallace who used to be a crime investigator and was shown on TV as The Edgar Wallace Mysteries. London still has a lot of impressive buildings hidden away.

I was enjoying the walk until we got to the lawyers which brought back memories of litigation. Misery! No window shopping this time and few people! The world turned upside down is fascinating and I liked being in the student area. I entirely agree with the comment by Khrishna Gossai. Thank you for sharing your curiosity.
As I’ve said before, you are the perfect stroller. Right speed, smooth and you show us all the interesting side places. I just took a stroll in Paris but it was fast, boring and just straight ahead. Not interesting at all . Thank you.
at number 75 Kingsway is the entrance to what was the Kingsway Hall which for 60 years was used as a major recording venue for classical music. Many famous recordings were made there.
Hello Sanpo Lovely walk. Nice weather, it is minus 12 here today. Have you been into the John Sloan muesum? I got into a bit of trouble as they have 12 Hogarts pictures, but there was only 4 on display. I had seen Tony Robinson do a video where open the show cases ti revel all the pictures so I proceeded to that. Seems you are not allowed to do this, they only show 4 at a time due sun exposure. So only got to see 4 of them. Lol. Love the weather vane on top of Astor house. If get the chance it is well worth a tour of the inside when they open to the public. Took us 3 tries. Wonderful stain glass windows. I could go on but that will do for now. Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.
Hello Chris and Sandra, minus 12 is a bit too cold for me. I haven't been to the John Sloan museum or Astor House but will try to visit them once things return to normal. I will make sure that I do not do as you did with the showcases :-). Stay warm.
29l21 That building is 2 Temple Lane. It was JP Gettys house. It was used as the wedding venue in Downton Abbey. You ca do a virtual tour by going on You tube.
Hi Sanpo, The captions didn't appear on this video, was their a problem? I switched to another one of your videos and the captions appeared, so it must be only this video.
IF you are ever in London...be sure to chekc Sir John Soane's House...unbelievable collection of EVERYTHING! Real Gem.... hope to return for a Vacation from Canada once Covid Hell is over!

Actually I wanted (expected) you to walk down the Arundel street. So you surprised me here a little bit.
