When i first moved to Liverpool in 2017, i lived down the hill in Anfield. I used to go to Steve's for fish and chips and sit outside Anfield ground outside the church. It was really nice food.

I wish that we could decide on the fly to go get fish and chips here, but I can only think of two shops and the closest is probably 20-25 minute drive away and expensive. There is a really good pasty shop in Denver called Pasty Republic, but that’s a longish drive away too.

The sausages are under the heat lamps in the hot cupboard that could be why 🤔🤔
We are lucky that there is a plethora of takeaway food shops in our area … not all are great 🤔 but this one was a good one 👏🏻👏🏻

Next time you get a chippy dinner, get them to wrap the fish separately from the chips! You won’t half notice a difference. Must admit, doing fish and chips, come to think of it, any hot food in a polystyrene box is criminal, food is just going to sweat and will impair its quality! Thing with food wrapped in paper, the paper absorbs the heat and steam from the food helping to remove/reduce moisture!
Keep knocking them out folks!

That fish did look lovely, you shouldn’t blame yourselves for the chips they should be constant and always fresh! They were definitely not mushy peas. Price was really good 👍🏼 was nice to see you out Tracy❤😘😘🤩

driving though that area of liverpool does bring memories of going to the match tried a few of when i used to go be honest didnt found those chip shops to bad in that area to be honest

That fish looked great and it seemed that the batter (and therefore the fish) was properly cooked through and it didn't look greasy.
The fish was crisp- ish, I agree regarding the polystyrene and the plastic bag, not the best way to treat hot food.
Not sure about the chips, I couldn't really see but if you think they could be improved- then that's good enough for me. 😃
The peas weren't mushy but then again the shop was newly opened, perhaps they could be changed to the 'real' thing 😋
The food scored well and you would return- can't have a better recommendation than that.

The fish was lovely , some of the chips were good but the peas definitely need improving..
Yes the carton and bag all add to the condensation but the fish did stay quite crispy ..🤔

Dunno why these chippys use polystyrene for chips it ruins them, sort of boils them and makes them soggy esp if your ordering on line when takes ages to deliver, only buy them now if in paper unless eating right away

Looked like a tin of marrowfat peas. Fish chops looked ok nothing special. Just reading about many chippy closing
Hi Martin, the fish was lovely and we would return … there’s a lot of places closing due to rising costs I imagine 🤔
