HOHOHOHO .. Never knew someone would compare ESNTLS with other brands. YOU my friend, have just earned a like on your vid and a new subscriber. Would love to see you succeed in the future bro.
I never comment on videos but with this one I'm going to make an exception, I own pieces from both Cuts and ESNTLS, I really love the ESNTLS tee materials, cotton blended with bamboo, I have some 3 year old basic tee's from ESNTLS and they fit the same as my new ones which says a lot about the quality and trust me I use them constantly. By the way, I'm from Dominican Republic so I have no idea how I ended up in your channel hahaha, UA-cam recommendations are truly remarkable, you have a new subscriber here.
I also have tees from esntls for a while now. Its true the fit still hold until today. I have the long sleeve and the white tee that have already faded. The ones that have held are the black tee and a peach tee that I still have that look really good.
@@ORIGINALDaveB its still white (a little faded), but the collar is super wrinkly and has some dark spots from who knows what since its white( my guess is washing machine). The shirt was really nice tho. Perfect fit and nice texture until it isn't anymore.
Thanks to a few people in the comments who pointed out that the Cuts shirt I’m wearing in this video isn’t actually the sage color. It’s Arctic Haze. HOWEVER, the Arctic haze color is IDENTICAL to Sage Green from ESNTLS. I have so many Cuts shirts that the color names are hard to keep track of and I grabbed the shirt that matched the color of the ESNTLS one assuming sage=sage. If you want to know what Cuts sage color looks like, you can see it in my Cuts Classic Hoodie review! Thanks to everyone who has brought this to my attention -Carter
Wear and wash 20 times then see which is best, tee shirts are for hot weather so pure cotton is the best, polyester is derived from coal, air, water, and petroleum and is very warm to wear in summer months but does not sink in the wash polyester garments are usually cheaper in price
Hi nice video. I want to add another difference between the shirts is the “collar hem”. The esntls is higher and thicker while the cuts is lower and thinner. Personally I like the esntls style more. Thanks for the video
This is great stuff, Carter! I’ve always been a Lulu Lemon guy, but I think I might have to give Cuts a shot. As a young professional, I really enjoy your content. In terms of future videos, I think some content on the new routines/products that you’ve found useful during quarantine would be insightful.
Wow, I really appreciate the feedback! And I’m starting a series this month where I go through my favorite things of that month! Whether it be archery, a custom leather checkbook, or something I find interesting, I want to share as I learn and discover new and fun things. Your comment really helped motivate me to push that video out there for January’s “cool stuff this month” video. Thank you, it means a lot!!
Appreciate that man! I’m in the process of changing jobs AND moving so life has been super hectic for me. I have 2 videos in the works right now. Your support means a lot to me!
After being an essentials fan for a year or so, I decided that I actually don't like them because after a couple of washes they start to pill. It is very annoying to spend 30 bucks on a t-shirt to then not being able to wear them for more than a year
This was my biggest issue. The regular bamboo t shirts start pilling after a few washes and in my experience also shrank. I still buy esntl drops but avoid the bamboo shirts. Strange as its the item Jose promotes the most
Yea I’ve also purchased both brands and ESNTLS is basically made for very thin/slim guys. The Henley long sleeve i got on their first ever drop my forearms barely fit thru the sleeve
I have been an OG supporter of ESNTLS since day 1 and I love their clothes. I never heard of Cuts until this video, but I definitely will check them out and buy a couple of shirts
For those who haven't, I wouldn't recommend buying from Esntls. I rarely ever complain about companies, but this time it is warranted. My product shipped a month late after I reminded them and they told me that they LOST it. Not to mention that their customer service is terrible. I've seen other people having the same issues and it could very well happen to you. If you're going to purchase these overpriced items, make sure it's from somewhere reliable.
I personally have had no issues with my ESNTLS purchases but I have to admit you are correct that I’ve heard of multiple stories like yours. ESNTLS is a new company and will face growing pains it’s just a question of whether or not you can tolerate them
Great video bro! 🔥 I’ve done tons of reviews of ESNTLS, but I’ve been meaning to try out Cuts! Keep growing the channel and keep putting out great reviews 👍🏻
Hey man, I’m probably not going to make a video on the comparison. But I’ve been wearing the same Cuts shirts every week for years with no degradation. Truly a bug once type of thing. If I’m honest I don’t wear the ESNTLS much because it’s heavier and I’m always hot.
Cuts has a few neck styles. So I recommend checking them out and seeing what neck lines are available. You won’t be disappointed with whatever choice you make!
I don’t know anything about both brands, but the essentials shirt looked better on you and you can notice the quality versus the ‘cuts’ shirt. Silhouette of essentials looked better as well
For anyone still wondering… ESNTLS is better imo. I love Cuts for their hoodies and joggers mainly. As far as t-shirts, ESNTLS feels more premium. I mean like he said when I was carrying the bag it felt like each shirt was like 3 pounds 😂 I wear large as well. I’ve tried Uniqlo, Asket, etc.. and found ESNTLS to be the best one for me. Also I’m not tall or skinny and it works fine
Bro one thing I noticed The collar on the esntls shirt is a bit thicker and bigger whereas the cuts when one has a thin collar In the end it the winner is CUTS for me
I noticed the same thing but only when I started editing he video. I prefer the cuts neck line! But I know people who prefer the ESNTLS so it’s just personal preference I guess!
I bought a couple of shirts from esntls a while back (about 1.5+ years ago). A blueish long sleeve that now looks faded. A red (i think its called polo) shirt that has the collar faded. 2 black shirts that still look really great (I wear these a lot, recommend them). 2 white shirts that have gotten light black stains on them, and the collar a little messed up. It is true tho, these shirts fit really good (got good number of compliments with them) but don't recommend them if you think they last longer than a year (black ones last longer).
I recommend these tees if you want them to look good for a year(I have a couple for about 1.5+ years already). Only some really last long like the black tee.
I have 20+ shirts and only 1 of them is black. My shirt that I got originally is pulling slightly but it was my first cuts shirt and I didn’t take good care of it. Everything else is mint!
What would help is having a title that has a very good hook point. Like example ‘ testing differences between cuts and esntls , results shook me ‘ . Then you have a good thumb nail and be creative about it. It doesn’t have to be necessarily you holding them together. Another thing I will do for you is give you a name of a guy that you should search about that teaches about making big channels.

Thanks if you could put this in narrative
I ordered 3 esntls henleys about a year ago and every one of them shrank and got disfigured while following the recommended care instructions. Bought cuts henleys and t shirts and they are the best on the market
You should do some review on raw denim, if you don't know what brands here are some good ones Brave star denim Gustin Naked and famous denim Levi's made & crafted
Good idea. I find denim hard to work with for a tall guy such as myself. Jackets are usually too short in both the arms and the torso length. If I find some that work I will definitely do a review!
I'm a big shirt jacket wearer/Harrington/bomber etc. Esntls neck never bacon 🥓 up when wearing jacket, which I love. How does cuts neck stay formed when a jacket is worn and unzipped? Thanks
I’d say go with a large. Since they’re athletic fit i’d wear true to size for your normal tees but if you flip between L and M then go with the higher one!
@@CarterShaffer true true but trust me esntls is a brand Worth picking up always .... and by the way thank you for replying that just made me sub 💯 and I'm gonna tell a friend or two... i look forward to seeing your channel grow🔥
In my opinion, I like cuts. The size is more consistent. In ESNTLS, some launches, I'm an M and in others, I'm an L which fits me in most every t shirt. With cuts it's always the same size and they're never out of stock. Also on the ESNTLS shirts, the collars get all wrinkled and the shirts either stretch out or shrink due to the amount of elastane. Also, the pants are atrocious at ESNTLS. The quality has dropped to rock bottom and I feel like Jose is not putting full quality into his pieces.
Great insight! Thanks for the writeup. I would love to try out some of their other launch pieces but they sold out too fast. I've been a Cuts guy for years and that won't stop anytime soon. Thanks again!
Never had any issues over the past few years. I wash them like normal (on cold) but I never throw them in the dryer. I hang dry but occasionally forget and a piece will go through the dryer and it’s fine!
Do you like a few other brands that are multi blend material with slim fit. I would love to here some other shirt name brands that you would recommend or give a shout-out. I’m waiting on 2 BYLT Shirts to be delivered. I’m really hoping that I like them. 11⭐️ review!
Thanks man! I just have tried out Cuts and ESNLS along with brands like ASOS and ZARA. Cuts won for me and my personal preferences. Let me know how you like BYLT. I’ve heard great thinfs
yo so you got size L for both and they look like they fit just about perfectly, but what's your height? I'm 5'10 175lb (prob bout 12-15% body fat) and cuts recommended large but 99% of the clothing I buy, no matter what type or what brand, is size small, so that surprised me a bit. You look relatively the same as I do in terms of physique so my main query is on your height. Hope to hear back and great vid!
I’m 6’5 190. It’s a tough call for you but you may want to give a medium a try. The small will probably be too small but not sure if you necessarily need a L. Lmk what you do!
how'd your ESNLTS hold up in the wash? I had on of their white shirts and it shrank like crazy, was originally a large now probable equivalent to a small.
I know I’m not the guy who created the video, but mine have held up well. I learned after I washed and dried my black tee for the first 2 years ago, that putting the drier on anything higher than delicate will shrink it like crazy. Mine significantly after the first dry with my black tee shrank a bit, so ever since then I’ve just put my drier on air dry or even hung the shirts out to try instead.
I’ve had an ESNTLS shirt for about a year and a half and it started pilling pretty badly after maybe six months. I always wash on cold and dry on low heat. It fits great and is super comfortable, but I won’t be buying another one because of the durability.
This is a very valuable thread actually. I don't throw my shirts in the dryer for this very reason so I'm not a good judge. But it looks like some people here have and it yielded less than decent results. I have put some of my Cuts in the dryer before and have never had any issue with shrinkage. After running on shirt through the dryer a bunch of times over a year one of them has some minor pilling but not much at all and it's not a problem to me.
@@mikecapalungan If the pilling isn’t common for people, it could just be my fault. I’m in college and my apartments over the years have had some pretty low quality washers and dryers, so that could have something to do with it
Hahaha what a great description 😂 the only advice I have is that Cuts has a shirt fit called “Universal Fit” which is built for guys slightly more mountain chimp-y. However it may still be too tight for you. I’d recommend giving that a try but if not, maybe something from Zara or ASOS in a looser fit if they have one. Let me now if you give it a shot!
Appreciate this comparison. Always looking for quality tees. Personally, it seems like the ESNTLS is probably geared toward skinnier guys. Since I have biceps, ill stick with CUTS lol
I went with Elongated however I have plenty of curve hem and they are so similar. The split hem is the only one that I can really notice a difference on
It’s pretty expensive but we’ll worth it in my opinion! If you’re trying to save some money, they run about a 30% off sale every quarter or so and that brings their t-shirts down to a pretty competitive price
I prefer the Cuts one slightly more than the ESNTLS one. I believe I said that in the video. You have every right to dislike the video though. I hope it was at least slightly informative to you. Best, Carter

I’ve had an ESNTLS shirt for about a year and a half and it started pilling pretty badly after maybe six months. I always wash on cold and dry on low heat. It fits great and is super comfortable, but I won’t be buying another one because of the durability.
@@roberthudson8660 wow I’ve had mine for about the same time and they haven’t been pilling at all
This is a very valuable thread actually.
I’m in college and my apartments over the years have had some pretty low quality washers and dryers, so that could have something to do with it
Is the colour sage green? Because i have the same but here in the video it looks like gray not sage green or its a different colour? :0
The ESNTLS tshirt is in “Bamboo Sage Green” the Cuts is actually Arctic Haze (see my pinned comment)
Thankz bro
How much does your esntls tee cost?

Consider not filming with
The window shades closed. Great information!
Thanks for the tip! I had just moved so we didn’t have any curtains or a good place to film
What's a good tee for thicker built dudes? I'm not tall and skinny. Kinda built like a mountain chimp.
@@CarterShaffer awesome! Thanks for the advice.
No problem! They just dropped their “universal fit polo” so I’d go for that if you’re easing in. In my opinion their polos are top tier
Both really good tbh. I’m more of an esntls guy
I like Cuts neck better, the Esntls one has a thick cheap look imo
Can you do a review on BYLT shirts
Good idea. I might have to give them a try here soon!
Nice video, what's your height and weight?
6'5 190lbs
Appreciate this comparison. Always looking for quality tees. Personally, it seems like the ESNTLS is probably geared toward skinnier guys. Since I have biceps, ill stick with CUTS lol
what cut did you choose for your cuts shirt?
I went with Elongated however I have plenty of curve hem and they are so similar. The split hem is the only one that I can really notice a difference on
Hi, you say you're an L with cuts, how tall are you if i may ask?
Hi there, I’m 6’5 200lbs. If you have a larger chest or stomach you may want an XL. Otherwise if you’re built similarly to me a L will work!
hey man how tall are you and what's your weight?
6’5 190lbs
just subscribed:)
You’re the man. Appreciate the support!
Cuts’ neck line look better, not too narrow
Agreed
my mannnnn i have estln tee x2 and yeah pilling nightmare hahah . but no wrinkle ever.
Thanks for the input! Mine will definitely never see the inside of a dryer
We’re still in a pandemic lol
So?
*plandemic*
No. We really aren't. In fact.... we were NEVER in one.
ESNTLS collar is soo much cleaner.
In the thumbnail to this video he looks like he could pass for being Greta Thunberg‘s older brother.
Hahahah comment of the year goes to ^^^
@@CarterShaffer Hahah thanks, glad you appreciated my silly comment.
HOLY CRAP!😂
Could we get a height and weight for you ?
6’5 190lbs
How tall are you?
6'5 190lbs!
Tldr: buy cuts unless esntls is having a sale
Hi Carter! What's your email for business? Thanks!
If you don’t mind, please message me on Instagram directly and I can give you the info. @cartershaffer thank you!
Esntls is sold out of everything on their website :/
June 5th is their next launch!
What's ur height?
6'5 190lbs
The esntls tees make anyone look good
Truth!
@@CarterShaffer I have a question how do you buy stuff in the esntls website I can’t seem to buy anything do I have to wait for the drops or what?
@@OD_999 There's a drop today! Get in there before they sell out. If you use my promo code CARTERSHAFFER you can get an extra 10% off too.
I’ve heard cuts is nice but crazy expensive
It’s pretty expensive but we’ll worth it in my opinion! If you’re trying to save some money, they run about a 30% off sale every quarter or so and that brings their t-shirts down to a pretty competitive price
You get a dislike. Why make a video titled which is better, only to say “it depends on what you like” no. Make a decision.
I prefer the Cuts one slightly more than the ESNTLS one. I believe I said that in the video. You have every right to dislike the video though. I hope it was at least slightly informative to you. Best, Carter
