Yes Corey wrote this song when he was in a dark place in his life. You spoke of the harmonies in this song and I think notable to let you know that it's all Corey layering his vocals. All voices are Corey Taylor. No one does it like he does. Great song for your reaction channel. EPIC🖤🤘
Little side note about the ring, he was wearing a spiderman ring as a little easter egg due to this song being on one of the movie's soundtracks many years ago. As always love you and love your channel its so nice to see your hard work paying off!! Im super excited about you listening to corey taylor as he was one of my biggest inspirations growing up and i havent revisited him in quite some time. Would LOVE to see you experience the range this mans vocals have through his work with slipknot and stone sour. The man truly was a genius. Its said he has one of the highest vocal ranges rock and metal has ever seen, and youll definitely see it as slipknot and stone sour have almost a night and day different sound
The 8 ring is from Corey being #8 in Slipknot. I haven't found many Corey Taylor vocals that I have been disappointed with. I really enjoy Zzyzx Rd. and Taciturn by Stone Sour, From Can to Can't by Corey Taylor, Snuff by Slipknot, and much more!
As a LEO and army national guardsman in the infantry, I so appreciate the support and love you’ve got for first responders and our military. The fundraiser you’ve got attached to this video is so amazing! I appreciate you’re level headed ability and objective yet very real outlook on our country and the leadership. You are awesome! So thank you!
you really wanna check out "Corey Taylor - Snuff (Acoustic)". Corey Taylor is the Singer of Slipknot & Stone Sour and this Song is wildly considered Coreys best Acoustic Song ever performed..
I had to pasue the video at the beginning, ill admit i didn't even watch it, This song was played at my bestfriends funeral, I can't listen to it anymore, But thank you for giving a reaction, i bet it as a good one.
again a great ride I like this band see them a couple times I like thier style alot and just the overall vibe of it thanks for this ride today as always your ride or die forever Eyyyy Oooo P.S. in case you didnt see or hear about it yet Diana has a new song out called "with a clean slate" just passing it on to you lol
Why this song was released as something for the Toby Spider-man soundtrack, I will never understand. I remember when it first came out. I was a very sad teen. Had losts going on in my life that were overbearing and nothing any kid should have ever had to go through. I'd fall asleep listening to this, epiphany by staind, adam's song by blink-182, and any sad track I could find in 2003. I'm still here.
@rosalieelliottofficial Felt this most of my life. Depression..... felt alone, regardless if it was family or not. Stopped caring about my own life. Never thought of using my own hand, but didn't care if someone else did. Heard this one live as well. Originally, Corey wrote this about his father.
Corey wrote this about the strained relationship with his father. Who he eventually met....... Realized what he wasn't missing. And that was the end of it
Not Incubus at all, the lead is Corey Taylor which is also lead in Slipknot. This song was Coreys prelude to Wait and Bleed that was sung by Corey after joining Slipknot you should do these two songs back to back in one react to connect the progression of his story of pain and struggle that Corey streached out through both songs and both bands that has transcended generational lines as I was first to find a connection, then my father who is still stuck in the 70s Disco era and hated most of my generations music yet connected so much it caused tears to fall from a man i only ever seen cry three times in my entire life and now my son has found a connection with Coreys messaging aswell and I believe it will continue to transcend future generational lines to come!
I would also like to recommend Eivør. You will never forget her voice. She has a beautiful voice. She is also a singer songwriter and plays umpteen instruments. Partly extraordinary instruments. Eivør - Falling Free (live) ua-cam.com/video/KNPIdGBn7M4/v-deo.html
@Rosalie Reacts: Eyyoo! Stone Sour has Corey Taylor as the lead singer. This album is 20 years old at least, because I bought this CD way back in 2003, when I was in the Navy, stationed at San Diego, California. Stone Sour also did a cover of Simple Man, and one of my favorite songs is actually a song called ".45," which is another song about depression and self-deletion ideation. Corey Taylor has a very raw, emotional voice, and it's amazing that a lot of reactors have passed him by as the lead singer of Stone Sour. Edit: About the lyrics, I'm guessing that this song is sort of autobiographical in nature. Talking about his "self-affliction" fading could mean that as a poet, as a singer-songwtiter, he no longer has the pain and angst to draw off of that created his career, especially with the line, "the mascochists to which I cater," which could be a line about his fans and the people that listen to his music. Basically, this song is about him maybe retiring? Facing his own mortality? At the least, maybe losing his identity and taking off the mask (which itself could be an alliteration to Corey singing for Slipknot, since they wear masks in Slipknot). Thus, he's saying, "What's the point? Why should I bother? At this point, I'm too apathetic, and just honestly, don't give a damn."
The song 45 is by Shine down, not Stone Sour, which is an amazing song. Unsure if you meant Stone Sour, or you are confusing the two bands. Shine Down also did a cover of Simple Man, so I think you got mixed up. Not the same singer/band.
I interpret the lyrics as someone searching for a way out. He's contemplating suicide, but looking for a reason not to, and once he finds that reason (person probably) he will hold on so tight that it harms them, inevitably driving them away and leaving him right back where he started.
Hey Rosalie you should definitely listen to some slipknot. Very deep songs including gently, vermilion/vermilion pt 2 and many many more. Corey is such an interesting person.
I love this song! And I really do like what you carry with you on your reactions! Still new to your reactions, but you should definitely react to more of Corey Taylor’s music, whether it be Stone Sour or Slipknot! Would love to see you do Snuff by Slipknot. Same type of slower song by a traditionally heavier vocalist Also, new subscriber officially!
If u watched spiderman that's probably where it's familiar from. By the way as much as I love Incubus they could never do songs like corey does. Incubus is my chill out band
9:42 I’m wondering if you may have heard musical similarities to Pearl Jam in this? This is the one I’m thinking of ua-cam.com/video/5ZH2it92ZmA/v-deo.html Jeremy is more in the psychological similarity, but doesn’t start the same way. I always enjoy your analysis of the lyrics, you are very perceptive! I hadn’t heard this before, it’s something that I used to listen to before I moved on to newer music.
Stone Sour and Slipknot are both so great because they show 2 sides of Corey Taylor's vocals.
Once you hear Snuff from Corey Taylor the live Acoustic performance you never be the same again Emotional drained and powerful song.
Read my mind.
What Eric said
Not sure if I agree
I prefer the OMV, but that's just me.
I don't agree. It's a great sound song
One of the greatest voices in metal

Oh neat! Didn’t know. Thank you for your informative and encouraging comment. I’m looking forward to exploring more of his work.

Hey Rosalie. I've always enjoyed this song. You might want to look in to Corey's other band. They are quite well known. :p
As a LEO and army national guardsman in the infantry, I so appreciate the support and love you’ve got for first responders and our military. I absolutely love this song. It holds a.piece of me if not for this song ...
Awesome choice from Stone Sour. Check out the acustic version of Snuff by Corey Taylor. It's an emotional rollercoaster.
Why
First time hearing them. Great vocals. Awesome visuals. On the positive side, he knows he will live a long life, so he can be riskier in his behavior.
I always enjoyed this one and Through Glass from them
Great stuff. I'm sure many people have suggestions. But "Through the glass" would have been my suggestion for Stone Sour reaction
I can totally relate to this song.
Have a scar from there show and this song I'll never forget
U gotta check out the live acoustic performance of Snuff.
Oh man, Stonesour gots so many good jams!
That guitar riff reminds me a lot of a song called Kayleigh from Marillion from 1985.
Oh please Check this Song at Corey's live Performance in London. It was sooooo amazing

sounded good.

This song was featured on the 2002 Spider-Man movie soundtrack. That's why Corey is wearing a Spider-Man ring in this video.
again a great ride I like this band see them a couple times I like thier style alot and just the overall vibe of it thanks for this ride today as always your ride or die forever Eyyyy Oooo P.S. in case you didnt see or hear about it yet Diana has a new song out called "with a clean slate" just passing it on to you lol
This hits harder with the emotion Corey Taylor puts out in the song.

Charlie,I’m glad you are here and made it through your darkness!
Glad to hear it dude! You survived and now you have an awesome taste in music. 💚
@rosalieelliottofficial
Felt this most of my life. Depression..... felt alone, regardless if it was family or not. Stopped caring about my own life. Never thought of using my own hand, but didn't care if someone else did.
Heard this one live as well.
Originally, Corey wrote this about his father.
This was the song to Spiderman movie featuring Toby McGuire in 2001 I believe.
This is Corey Taylor's other band. Is main band is the band Slipknot!
Actually, his main band (first band) has always been Stone Sour, Slipknot was a side project.
Stone Sour was the first band the main one
Cory Taylor is great at words listen to stone sour whenever. Zzyd
If you don't know this was on the Spider-Man soundtrack, the Spider-Man ring must seem *really* weird.
Corey wrote this about the strained relationship with his father. Who he eventually met....... Realized what he wasn't missing. And that was the end of it
I wasn't aware they formed in 92 I think you said. Corey Taylor is the lead singer of Slipknot.

Well now you have to check out his little "side project", which is quite popular, it's called Slipknot :D
Plz plz plz plz do " so far away" by avenged seven fold .... bring tissues ....I think everyone will want this reaction please for me
Why does old Cory Taylor look like now days Steven Tyler 🤣😂
I would also like to recommend Eivør. You will never forget her voice. She has a beautiful voice.

@@ryanb5841 : I probably did, lol. I made that comment less than 20 minutes after waking up, so my mind was probably a bit foggy yet.
thank you very much for this info and your comment. interesting. that makes sense.
I always assumed this video was based on the Portrait of Dorian Gray even though the song is from the first Spiderman movie
Corey Taylor is simply a beautiful human being and needs to be protected at all costs.
Gotta react to shinedown monsters or 45
Nothing like Incubas’s song. Nope nope.
I interpret the lyrics as someone searching for a way out. He's contemplating suicide, but looking for a reason not to, and once he finds that reason (person probably) he will hold on so tight that it harms them, inevitably driving them away and leaving him right back where he started.
Oh wow very interesting interpretation. Thank you for sharing that
This song is about addiction and what it's like living with it
Drive by Incumbus is more dubstep - but the leads sound a bit alike.
hard to believe this is Slipknots frontman too
Hey Rosalie you should definitely listen to some slipknot. Very deep songs including gently, vermilion/vermilion pt 2 and many many more. Corey is such an interesting person.

Bro looks like Aragorn
There’s always SpogeBob. Can’t forget SpongeBob Square Pants live.
He's front man for Slipknot
Corey is the best lyricist of the last century.
He's slipknot

React stone sour tired. Or snuff slipknot live
You should listen to Slipknot
No 1440p 4k
Now you have to listen to his other little known band Slipknot.
Check out the pretty reckless hit me like a man live it's unreal
Listen to Stone Sour -Through Glass-. It's amazing and even better then this one.
Led Zepp...Dazed and Confused. ...28 min version...
Your into sounds a lot if not the same as Iration's Warm Waters song.
