22mm band. Not 20. And I keep reading reviews where they compare the lack of apps on this platform. What are you talking about? There isn't anything that I've wanted this watch to do that it hasn't been able to do. Apple has always had too many apps that are worthless. The volume of crap doesn't equate to the value of the apps. I'm not an Apple hater or anything, but I'll take a watch that has a hundred million face options over a tiny square apple watch any day of the week. I may never shop for another analog watch again after owning this one. There is beauty to a mechanical watch, and for that reason I'll continue to keep them in rotation, but the functionality of a smartwatch this size with a round face enables me to put faces on it that would be very difficult to pull off in a mechanical watch. I'm loving it for sure. I'd put it at more of a 9/10. That S Voice is the only reason it should lose a point on anybody's scale. But that's a software fix and I'm sure Samsung will continue to work on that.
AMEN to that my friend! Very well said! This watch is better than apple hands down. This watch ROCKS!!! I put a coffee-colored leather band with orange stitching. This watch looks saaaweet! And then being able to pick from hundreds of different watch faces is awesome. I will never give up this watch! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! 🤓
Don't understand about people saying it's to big, I mean I get everyone has a preference but if you have worn expensive watches in your day most men watches good watches i mean, are big this watch is a perfect size for guys imo... G-shock watches are bigger than this
Jstreet It's not really bigger than my Kors up to my Omega. Slightly thicker, with less weight may psychologically put some off. You do expect it to be weightier. I mainly use mine day to day and for Golf, and it's held up to the rigors.
Mark Bladt Lte version does not last that long with max brightness and always on, do not troll ... if at max brightness it will eat battery 1% every 7 minutes... also, this eatch has no always on option. Earlier version of sw did have it, but it is now long gone... even when you put 15 minute sleep function, it does not care it simply keeps turning off display
I happen to like big watches also, but not everyone does. Either way this is my favorite smartwatch, the more I wear it the more I really like its design and functionality.
Good review, very helpful, getting my new S3 Frontier watch this weekend at $299 also my 1st smartwatch...@54 yrs old I've got to get with the times..😀
just bought the gear s3 at the mobile store. It was an impulse buy after the salesman showed me all the awesome features and it just looked like a great watch not a toy like the Apple watch. it really is a nice watch ! It's exactly the kind of watch I would buy and this out s my first smart watch. the unlimitated amount of cool watch faces on this watch and bands make this a versatile watch for all occasions!
Greetings. I just bought a Samsung Gear S3. I love the watch. It is everything I need in a smartwatch and it looks great. I bought the frontier model and it accompanies me out on my daily walks and cycling activities. I experience about 2 days before the battery drains, but I guess that is expected with all the features I use daily. Your review was great and it inspired me to check this device out at my local Samsung dealer where I fell in love with it and eventually purchased one. Great work and thanks.
Hi, thanks for your helpful review on Gear S3. I have a couple of questions and hope you get the chance to respond: 1st. What is the big advantage of having 4G-LTE on the watch while it comes with Wifi and Bluetooth both?? Is it being connected to the network without needing to carry the phone with us? I am asking because basically it is a minimum of $10/m charge for adding a line for the watch with ATT and I would like to have your opinion if it`s worth it to get the 4G-LTE one. 2. Does it pair with the Bluetooth headphone/earbuds? Can we listen to music without having our phone around? It would be very cool if we can just take the watch out for exercising without needing to have the phone too. 3. Where can we check the available apps for it? I listen to music on Amazon Prime Music and Spotify and Pandora, and am curious to know if they already have apps for Gear S3. Thanks.
Yes the watch is geared towards men but it sure didn't stop me from purchasing it for myself.I just bought a feminine looking watch band and blinged the case up a bit. I purchased the Frontier LTE from T-Mobile because that model had everything I wanted in a smart watch. I have very small wrists so it is a bit large but really no larger then a large faced women's watch. If your on the fence because of the size don't be. It's a great watch!
busybee407 Love hearing about women using wearable tech. It makes no sense that it's so strictly a mens product. I personally love tech and wish more women got on board!
Richard Servello Yes I believe I seen a review that Samsung found that more men used wearables than women hence that's why they made only men's versions. I love all things tech as well, trouble is I don't know how to use most I purchase. Hahaha! But this watch is easy to use. Happy Holidays
fantastic review I hafto respectfully disagree with you on the size and weight I love big watches I wish it was bigger and heavier But I LOVE THIS WATCH WOW SAMSUNG IS THE GREATEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD WOW THEY HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH THE FRONTIER WOW WOW WOW.GREAT VID I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ANOTHER HAVE A GREAT DAY.
Mike Benjamin In an age of Nixon being a really popular brand..I would say size isn't an issue. I even saw a Fossil with a 48 face. I have very large wrists...so size is not an issue for me. The only complaint I've seen is...they only make this in mens size. But honestly...any woman with a smart watch is probably going Apple anyway....
I have this watch and I love this watch. It works perfect. Lack of apps is not a problem for me. There are plenty of apps available. I'm not an Apple guy, so the Apple Watch wasn't even an option for me. I still have my Gear 2 (with the camera, Love it too) I use Gear 2 for work (Facilities Manager) and the Grear S3 for evenings and weekends (stylish and cool).
I just got it and bought it simply because I wanted a great looking watch. The fact it is a smartwatch and that I have hundreds of watch faces to choose from is just icing on the cake.
This is still my favorite smartwatch right now. Check out my unboxing and first look at the LG Watch Sport which is a competitor of this watch. Full review and head to head with the Gear s3 Frontier coming soon.
AMDtech One major feature I also purchased it for is its stand alone ability. I like not having to keep my phone next to it or draining its battery from the bluetooth connection.. I might have got the LG otherwise. Btw do you know what the button on the under side near the strap lugs is for?
Was about to purchase a Hamilton regular price $2000 discounted to a $1000 and it didn't have an alarm. Called to pay my phone bill and the agent suggested this watch (add a line). Got the Frontier delivered in 23hrs nice watch. Went to the store and paid restock fee and got the Classic. I'm in love.
I have the AT&T Frontier (LTE) Version as well. I love this watch for its size (which is the reason I didn't buy the S2) the screen is amazing. I didn't buy this watch to track my fitness Garmin is my choice for that, in my opinion, this does a good job tracking it with little to no effort on my part. I like not having to take my phone out to read or respond to every message. I've not tried Samsung Pay yet honestly when I'm making a purchase I don't even remember that it can work for it, this is no fault of the device that is the user problem. Overall I am very happy with this new S3, my biggest negative is S Voice! S Voice is horrible it needs Google Now. I also like that it has its own number. BTW Great review.
I have just recently bought the gear s3 I love the look & feel of the watch in my opinion the watch isn't too big for your wrist I love how bright the watch is over the Apple watch & how you can scroll through your app's as we'll. if your looking for a watch to fit into your everyday life this is it hands down. I love how it track's your sleep as we'll my brother has the Apple watch but he likes the gear s3 as we'll I don't no of anyone complaining over the weight of the watch but if the watch face is too heavy for your wrist they do have a gear s2. And you might need a gym membership. Just saying.
Im on the fourth day on mine and its at 46 percent charge left. Ive had it on lots of times playing around with it. I also have the gear fit watch and it still works really well. I love the rugged look of the frontier. I hope they keep that look. Its a beast.
One of the best reviews I've listen to regarding presentation, review and recap of pros and cons. I liked it. Helps me make a decision as someone new and resistant to the technology of smart watches and other smart objects. Slowly trying to evolve.
I quite like it, and being that I'm in the Apple ecosystem, this is what I had hoped the new Apple Watch 3 would be from a design perspective. I like classical watches, and this is the only smart watch that has tempted me thus far.
I got Google Assistant on my Frontier and it works great and replaces the S Voice. It took about 15 minutes watching a You Tube video on how to do it but it is perfect. I also use an app that downloads my Fitbit info into the Samsung Health app. Very cool for those times where I don't want to wear my beautiful watch and still track my steps. Great review.
I’ve been wearing the S3 for about 2 years and while it is slightly bulky I absolutely love it 😊. It records and displays me daily activities and even congratulates me anytime my physical activity is above normal. It also displays my sleep although not always accurately I admit I have zero regular sleep patterns 😴😳as I was forced into early retirement and I just don’t seem to need much sleep. What I like most is not having to look at my phone every time I get any notifications 👍🏻 it saves a lot of unnecessary phone checking when you can just glance at your watch to see if it’s important or NOT The Bluetooth and WiFi both have excellent range and being able to answer the phone like Maxwell Smart is nice but I rarely use it. It also works flawlessly with my iPhone 📲 I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 + stars because there is always room for improvement on everything.
Best smartwatch of the six I've ever owned (Gear S, LG G Watch, Moto v1 and 2, Huawei, and Frontier LTE). S-Voice has been surprisingly good, but what I find it lacking is system integration ("navigate home," for example) which will hopefully be fixed by Bixby. Good, balanced review.
G'Day Andrew, thanks for your review of the Gear s3... I purchased the Frontier yesterday 09/02/17 cost $599 here in Australia... I was under the impression that i didn't need a mobile phone to make phone calls. I see in the manual on page 46 that there is a Network Setting, and i see in your video that you can connect to the Cellular network (LTE) But in the connectivity setting in my Gear s3 it shows nothing like yours.. I have written to Samsung regarding this matter.. Perhaps there are 2 models ??? What's your thoughts? Cheers Oh by the way my Rolex weighs more...!!
Steve Hinder. You have to have it added to your account via your phone service provider. I just got one through Verizon and its only $5 more a month for LTE. Its basically a phone on my wrist. I can make and receive calls and texts. Its pretty damn sweet
nice vedio sir thank u for this vedio but pls answer my question can we answer calls even we leave our phone at home and after if we go any other place
Battery lasts 36hrs TOPS if you get the lte model... regular BT model may last tops 2 days, but this massive 47mm watch is just not there yet.... yes it is the best out of all watches out there, but not there yet to make me give up analog old fashioned watches!!! 😎
I have a small wrist but love the design. Debating between S2 and gear sport. This weekend I'll hit best buy to try them out on my wrist. How do you feel about the S2 or gear sport?
Excellent review, l like your review with the watch. l got one from Santa on Xmas, it's a little bulky at first. l was thinking of replacing it with a G2. But l think, l'm liking it for 2019-2020.
Great review! I got my Gear S3 Frontier around 2 weeks ago as my first smart watch, and i have to say that I am very happy with my purchace. Also I saw that you asked for directions to Mandalay Bay, and with all the search results that popped up, would you happen to live in Las Vegas by chance?
My Samsung Galaxy S3 Frontier suddenly this afternoon will not auto on ... only by turning bezel. Along with this it quit giving auditable notifications .... AND this 3/4 moon icon suddenly appeared at top of watchface. Any ideas as to what has happened.
Thank you for this video! You get right to the point(s) and your information is useful and helpful! I have had my S3-F for about a week and really like it... now, thanks to your info I like it even more!
In the past week I have learned more about smart watches especially since I knew nothing before that week. I decided to get this watch for my wife for christmas. I am so excited to give it to her and see how it works. If I think I would use it I might get one too. I bought my wife a $100 fitbit last year on a whim. She doesn't wear watches and I didn't know if she would use it but she does and she loves it. I am excited for her to use all the fitness trackers and Samsung pay too. This is like some real Dick Tracey technology now that you can take and make calls by talking into your wrist watch.
As well as the Frontier, I use the original Gear, and in some ways, I find it superior to the S3. For example, in the S3's alarm app, it seems as if you can only have one. On the Gear, I used AlarmPro, in which you could set as many as you wanted. You could also name them or type notes on them, and modulate the volume. There doesn't seem to be a similar app available for the S3. I wish the Reminder app was more fleshed out, or that there was a third party Tizen app that was. One of the most used apps on my phone, a Note 5 (my substitute for the Note 7!), is a reminder app called Nudnik. You can set a reminder/task in which you can choose an alarm that you can't miss. On the S3, you get a very subtle, single notification sound that is very easy to miss. There aren't any third party replacements for this either! Except for these two omissions, I think Samsung did a great job!
not sure why all reviews say size is a con. This is a man's watch. Size isn't any bigger than most fitness watches (example:Garmin Fenix). I bought it mainly as a fitness watch and use it for running. Not bulky at all. Having the ability to stream music as a standalone device , not having to carry a phone, track my runs via gps is simply liberating. If you think it's too bulky for workouts, not sure what you think about carrying a phone around which most people do when working out....
I have a IPhone 8 how well does it work with IOS stuff? I know not all features will work. Can I keep my phone in my pocket and see calls (to ignore)and incoming texts, to pull phone out and respond or ignore for a bit?
I bought a fit blaze today.. then I started growing smartwatches since I love opts..im would d be a basic Fitbit user anyway since I have an knee injury and that would prevent me from wondering I like options. Being a women I would don't want to go higher than 42mm all I'm finding is a 46mm. I also was looking at the LG Urbane and issue 46mm seems to be the standard .They totally neglected the smaller wrist people or people how hate bulky watches. I am all apple with everything so I was looking forward a change when buying a smart watch. I might have ti stick with apple
I m from India and I bought the LTE version from outside India. Now, I know eSim facility isn't available in my country yet (India). So, can i normally use this device without lte (connecting it with bluetooth and taking calls from device instead of phone) ? I guess i know the answer still will be great to confirm.
Good review! I agree, it's great but bulky. That's what kept me from buying it. A s3 in a s2 body would have sold me.... Unrelated, but Andrew could you review the Teclast Tbook 16 Power? It's a Surface like device with the most powerful atom and 8GB RAM for 350$. I am very interested in this device.
Thank you! I'm planning on getting this beast. Definitely shy on apps, but a watch is also a statement piece, and it has to fit your style. This one does it for me. Just please get us some music streaming app! Goodness.
what app do you have on watch for voice directions? I have LTE navigation but when I ask for directions with s voice it tells me the app is not installed and I need to go to app store to download it.
In order to use the LTE feature you need a plan with the carrier. So yes, you do need a data plan. They are anywhere from $5 to &10 depending on your carrier.
I have the gear S3 Frontier from Sprint the Wi-Fi version Bluetooth my watch last about 3 days I really enjoyed this watch it is my first watch I did not like all the first smart watches that came out but I waited for this one and I'm glad I did one thing I can agree with you about it Samsung needs more apps but give it time I'm sure they will come up with more apps I researched a lot of watches and the S3 Frontier was the best one for me I do hate S Voice a lot but otherwise than that this watch is perfect for me
No its your settings, turn off heart beat sensor or set it to sense your heart beat intermittently every 10 minutes. Reduce screen brightness unless you're blind of course 😝, close all unused apps/background running apps. If you do not need an always on display... turn it off, have the screen wake up with a flick of your wrist or a twist of the round bezel. You should then see your battery life jump up & last exponentially longer.
Oh I forgot to mention: turn off wifi on your smart watch since it has the capability to connect to your phone via bluetooth, (depending on the model of your smart watch of course). Bluetooth and wifi drain battery life as it's constantly using battery life to establish AND maintain a connection, and will continue to do so until manually turned off!
What were your thoughts about using it with iphone, I found there was no messenger app. Do you think they will do another OS update to solve this problem?
Not a good experience with iPhone. Partly because Apple has tight controls over its OS and partly because Samsung wants you to buy one of their phones. After a half day using it with IPhone I quickly repaired it with my Mate 9.
Thanks for the reply. But the problem with both companies is just that they lock down their stuff. I have to use iPhone because it is a work phone. But I don't like the Apple Watch. I prefer the Samsung. Just wish it would work better with the iPhone.
How long SERIOUSLY does the battery last with all features on?. I purchased the gear s and had at most 10hrs battery. If im investing my money i want all features to work simultaneously. The people inc myself lol, want a true battery reading with everything on. No turn off this, turn brightness down all that crap. HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST WITH GPS, SIM CARD IN, BLUETOOTH, WIFI, MOBILE DATA, AUTO LIGHT, and all the other stuff. We want a true reading of the battery life.
Mr Fatapotimus it lasts about 2 days with everything on. If your tracking a run with stand-alone GPS it will last about 5 hours. It only crunches battery when your tracking yourself or using it to steam music. I got one last week. It's a solid buy. Much better than Android wear. Not as fully baked as the Garmin Fenix 3 or 5 but it's $200 dollars cheaper.
Very good review yes its the best smart watch for me but i have a bug the last month when they call me i cant see the id caller all i see is invalid utf-8...i have this watch for a year now and everything was perfect antil this happened...
would the battery and functionality work to track a 25 hour ultra run, or would I be able to charge on the go? my current fenix 3 needs replacing and I love the look of the s3
I have an LTE model, have a eSIM registered in it. But when the phone is off or away, I don't get the calls on the watch. (But I can make out going calls). Any one has a clue?
Very informative review. I hope Samsung has to make the next Gear S4 with a size of 44mm diameter wide because the Gear S3 is big. If it not for the bigger size of Gear S3 I would definitely upgrade my current smartwarch Gear S2 which is a bit smaller.
Thanks! I really appreciate it! I know for some 46mm is too big, but I actually like big watches and really like the size of the Gear s3. Thanks again.
Rey Sajulga hi, since you bought the watch. what about the n0tifications ? does every apps that we installed in our phone can be relayed to the watch ?
22mm band. Not 20. And I keep reading reviews where they compare the lack of apps on this platform. What are you talking about? There isn't anything that I've wanted this watch to do that it hasn't been able to do. Apple has always had too many apps that are worthless. Yeah, I made a mistake, I meant to say 22mm not 20. Oh well. Thanks for watching.
AMEN to that my friend! Very well said! This watch is better than apple hands down. This watch ROCKS!!! I put a coffee-colored leather band with orange stitching. This watch looks saaaweet! the s3 frontier is the same size as my g-shock and I personally like the size (I have larger wrists)
Jstreet
C v
Jstreet there idiots. S4 supposed to be smaller. If so I won't buy it
I have decided to get this smart watch.
Ryan Jerard did you get the LTE version?
i got mine and it lasts 1.5 days with display always on and on max brightness. yours might be a fluke. try sending it back for a replacement.
Mine easily last 2 days also.
Mark Bladt go for it. It's amazingly superb.
I just got the S3 Frontier for father's day and I love it. Thanks for the good review on this phone.
I like big watches so the weight/bulky is a big plus for me
I happen to like big watches also, but not everyone does. Either way this is my favorite smartwatch, the more I wear it the more I really like its design and functionality.
I have this watch myself and I love it. I'm done looking for watches and the S3 Gear Frontier does the job for me
Good review, very helpful, getting my new S3 Frontier watch this weekend at $299 also my 1st smartwatch...@54 yrs old I've got to get with the times..😀
Thanks Dan! My favorite smartwatch and the one I wear everyday. Enjoy!
doing the same at the same age, ordering mine very soon
58 just got mine.
What? I'm only 40yrs old and I'm still debating getting my 1st smart watch ever. But after watching this video I'll commit to a smart watch.

Hi, thanks for your helpful review on Gear S3. I have a couple of questions and hope you get the chance to respond:
1st. What is the big advantage of having 4G-LTE on the watch while it comes with Wifi and Bluetooth both?? Is it being connected to the network without needing to carry the phone with us? Thanks.
Amir Mohsen Omidvari as i know.. spotify app is available already in the gear...
I just bought this watch and am waiting for it to ship. Amazing that in 2019 this watch is still more than viable.
Have had it for awhile now... Absolutely excellent... Love it.
Yes the watch is geared towards men but it sure didn't stop me from purchasing it for myself.I just bought a feminine looking watch band and blinged the case up a bit. Glad you are enjoying the watch. I really think this is one of the best smartwatches out there right now.
busybee407 I think the gear s3 classic has the feminine look. haha
busybee407 Love hearing about women using wearable tech. It makes no sense that it's so strictly a mens product. I personally love tech and wish more women got on board!

how does this work for tmobile? do I have to pay monthly? and is it that much better than just having the Bluetooth version?
Yes. I believe this is a champion amongst competitors, including the Apple watch. 😎👌
I am debating of whether I should revisit the Apple Watch to see how it compares with the Gear S3.
fantastic review I hafto respectfully disagree with you on the size and weight I love big watches I wish it was bigger and heavier But I LOVE THIS WATCH WOW SAMSUNG IS THE GREATEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD WOW THEY HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK WITH THE FRONTIER WOW WOW WOW.GREAT VID I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ANOTHER HAVE A GREAT DAY.

I love it! I would give it a 9 out of 10 rating. Best watch on the market and best smart watch I have and I have 5
Ryan Jerard really? You must have gotten a defective one. I get 2.5 days of battery life
Lol. Do you really have the watch? I have mine for a week and with the always on display turned on, I still have 70% after 9 hours of work.
+Ryan Jerard. Mine lasts ages even with always on display on.
I disagree I think your watch is defective, I get 2 days plus, with GPS on for 1 hour run. 2 1/2 days normally.
Not so. Mine is at 4th day and still has 46 percent left.
I just got it and bought it simply because I wanted a great looking watch. The fact it is a smartwatch and that I have hundreds of watch faces to choose from is just icing on the cake.

Robert Manning It having its own number means its thy LTE version??
Anthony Fernandes it's a shame. The version that I have supports GPS And doesn't support LTE Carly
Robert Manning what does lte do
just got it for my birthday and having lots of fun
I have just recently bought the gear s3

Im on the fourth day on mine and its at 46 percent charge left. Ive had it on lots of times playing around with it. I also have the gear fit watch and it still works really well. I love the rugged look of the frontier. I hope they keep that look. Its a beast.
What is international GSM variant? What if the E-SIM is not working in a country, can we still use this LTE feature with international GSM variant?
Thank you for the review I love this watch so much Samsung Gear S3 Frontier the best
One of the best reviews I've listen to regarding presentation, review and recap of pros and cons. I liked it. Helps me make a decision as someone new and resistant to the technology of smart watches and other smart objects. Slowly trying to evolve.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
Robert Carter can google assistant send text or make calls on the gear s3? I am getting one today and looked how to add assistant
Just ordered the frontier.. so looking forward to getting it. I currently have the Gear S..
Having been a big fan of the Gear S, i think you will like the frontier.
I am sure that I will.. thanks
What I like most is not having to look at my phone every time I get any notifications 👍🏻 it saves a lot of unnecessary phone checking when you can just glance at your watch to see if it’s important or NOT
The Bluetooth and WiFi both have excellent range and being able to answer the phone like Maxwell Smart is nice but I rarely use it. It also works flawlessly with my
iPhone 📲 I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4 + stars because there is always room for improvement on everything.
Cheers
Oh by the way my Rolex weighs more...!!
Could I use thus watch without a data plan? In other words, could I connect this device to my phone and still utilize most of its features?
Great review. I thought the Note 7 explosion was funny as hell, because I wasn't expecting it. This helped me make my decision.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
I have both and this is a worthy upgrade.
Excellent review, l like your review with the watch. l got one from Santa on Xmas, it's a little bulky at first. l was thinking of replacing it with a G2. But l think, l'm liking it for 2019-2020.
Its hard for me to find the Sim card for my watch. Where can i find the sim card
Thanks! I really appreciate it! Yes, i do live in Las Vegas, NV.
Its great to see such good tech content coming out somewhere other than L.A. or New York!
Nice review. Subbed!
Are the LTE models useable across all carriers? For example will an att variant work on tmobile and vice versa?
Great review! Is LTE model compatible with all carriers in the U.S including international? Thanks.
Good overview. I like it. Got one last week. I got three days of battery. The size is nice. I like a big watch.
Thanks! My favorite smartwatch
Its even better now with software updates I've had mine since the beginning frontier is still the king
thanks for blowing out my ears with that explosion FFS.
can i use this with bluetooth head phones or bluetooth speakers??
Jilbert Brayt yes
can we use this watch without after ones connected please answer my question any body
Can the watch pair with a car bluetooth as a stand alone device for making and receiving calls
Is there a price difference with or without LTE?
For the lte variant do you need a Samsung phone to make it work?
In the past week I have learned more about smart watches especially since I knew nothing before that week. I decided to get this watch for my wife for christmas. I am so excited to give it to her and see how it works. If I think I would use it I might get one too. I bought my wife a $100 fitbit last year on a whim. She doesn't wear watches and I didn't know if she would use it but she does and she loves it. I am excited for her to use all the fitness trackers and Samsung pay too. This is like some real Dick Tracey technology now that you can take and make calls by talking into your wrist watch.
You survived that blast, but with my Audio Technica earphones, I Involuntary jumped! I hate when that happens.. Nice review. Pleasing to watch.
Thanks Jet
Thanks for the info. I also had the original gear and eventually the Gear S, and loved them both.
vernonsuper Square watches are so ugly. This watch, LOOKS like a watch. This is why Apple Watch is so hideously designed.
The home screen is different than the Bluetooth version can you change that?
I have the S3 frontier for almost a year and I love it
Does the Altimeter show your elevation while training. I would love to see the activity screens.
can we leave our home at home and can we answer calls after going any other place
not sure why all reviews say size is a con.
This is my first smart watch. It works very well for me.
good video. helpful and informative. i dont mind bulky, so this watch isperfect for me. tho i will miss the camera the s1 had
I loved having the cameras on the original galaxy gear. It was a lot more useful that I had anticipated.
Dear Friend,
what is the name of the watchface on 06:18?
THanks!
how are you getting 2 days of use?
Great review. As with other reviews no one seems to mentions that there are two versions of this watch. SM-R760 and SM-R770
Great review until you blew my eardrums up with that ridiculous nuclear bomb detonation! Save the comedy for actual comedians. :D
Yeah that blast literally blew one of my car speakers. Really pissed off
I bought a fit blaze today.. then I started growing smartwatches since I love opts..im would d be a basic Fitbit user anyway since I have an knee injury and that would prevent me from wondering I like options.
Are they due for a new watch to come out now considering it's been a year now?
i can not find out gps on s3 .can you tell me how im get built in gps..on s3 frontiar watch
Does samsung gear s3 frontier make calls without mobile ?
I bought mine from Amazon can I bring it to at&t and have them install a sim card? I have the frontier
It's water proof. So you cant.
great review. informative and easy to understand. I would like to see a video on the upcoming Google watch. can't wait for that.
Thank you! I'm planning on getting this beast. Definitely shy on apps, but a watch is also a statement piece, and it has to fit your style. This one does it for me. Just please get us some music streaming app! Goodness.
Yes, it needs a good streaming app for music to make it complete. Spotify is rumored to be launching soon.
what app do you have on watch for voice directions? I have LTE navigation but when I ask for directions with s voice it tells me the app is not installed and I need to go to app store to download it.
So do you have to get a data plan or any other kind of plan in order to use the standalone feature?
In order to use the LTE feature you need a plan with the carrier. So yes, you do need a data plan. They are anywhere from $5 to &10 depending on your carrier.
Andrew, should I go for Apple Watch or this???I am in doubt...
It depends on which ecosystem you are in. The apple watch is the choice if you have iPhone. If you use Android then the S3 is my choice.
Andrew Marc David Thnx, andrew sir,😀
So can this watch be my main phone if lets say I have no other phone?
Does the Samsung Gear S3 need a phone to operate with the LTE Version?
No, you can pair it with your smartphone via bluetooth and that is how I mostly use it anyway and works great.
Can i pair this with my s10 plus , on tmobile and will the at and t work on my tmobile s10 plus
I have the gear S3 Frontier from Sprint the Wi-Fi version Bluetooth my watch last about 3 days I really enjoyed this watch it is my first watch I did not like all the first smart watches that came out but I waited for this one and I'm glad I did one thing I can agree with you about it Samsung needs more apps but give it time I'm sure they will come up with more apps I researched a lot of watches and the S3 Frontier was the best one for me I do hate S Voice a lot but otherwise than that this watch is perfect for me
So does this not support Google Play Store? Is it not a wear os?
I'm only getting 18 or so hours with very limited display use and on the LTE network. is this the battery life to be expected?
Is that heavy? what is the weight
me costo uno y la mitad del otro pero ahorre lo suficiente y lo tengo ya desde año y medio y estoy muy contento con el, valio la pena.
still got it today as my daily driver amazing
I thought you were a real goof until I watched the whole thing. Good work sir, keep it up
Gee thanks I think 🤔
Just got my gear S3 for my note8 love it but where did you get that Knicks watchface I'm looking for a Celtics watchface like that..
You can get it from the Samsung App Store for the gear and they have NBA official watch faces.
SmoothbassmanStudios Thanks bud
Very good review yes its the best smart watch for me but i have a bug the last month when they call me i cant see the id caller all i see is invalid utf-8...i have this watch for a year now and everything was perfect antil this happened...
cant get my text notifications with iphone ? whats up? any help appreciated...
would the battery and functionality work to track a 25 hour ultra run, or would I be able to charge on the go? my current fenix 3 needs replacing and I love the look of the s3
I purchased one yesterday.. How do I know if it's an att compatible?
If you bought the lte version, it uses e-sim and so you need to contact AT&T to activate it.
I have an LTE model, have a eSIM registered in it. But when the phone is off or away, I don't get the calls on the watch. (But I can make out going calls). Any one has a clue?
Will this watch trigger metal detector?
Do you have to have a phone to call?
