Don't get this watch! Thousands of us are disappointed as Samsung does not care that the new update stops all the sensors to fail. Nothing works on it. Not even wrist wake up gesture. Samsung doesn't care
@@ryanb70 u sure coz i had that problem sent it to samsung (and btw my warranty was still valid) and they gave me a brand new one with the latest software installed on it (3.0.0.2) and works flawless

s2 is better option cheaper now and only thing really diff is the 50ft waterproof not worth paying the new s3 price, plus for me i like the look of the s2 better anyways
I'm going to pick up the watch today. Do you find it working well with iOS? I have a ton of Apple devices but what I like about that this watch is that it looks like a watch, not a micro iPad on my wrist. Just like a mechanical watch, the looks are important.
Bonus if you can suss this out: It is nice they have this S3 LTE version that can be used standalone without your phone BUT. Some genius thought it would be a good idea to plaster a nice big white watch icon over your previously nice watch face at 12:00 position when in stand alone mode to tell you you are in stand alone mode (when not connected to phone by BT). This basically ruins all of the nice watchfaces out there when you use watch without phone near by. Is there something I am missing or is there no way to shut that dumb icon OFF. I am seriously considering returning the watch because of this.

Upset that nobody replied to this by now lol. There is a setting called status icon indicator, turn it off. I believe it is accessed by holding down the power button as if to shut it off then scroll down towards the bottom. Hope u didn't return the watch..
Unfortunately, quality of assembly is very bad. I have a bitter experience of use of Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. After three weeks of gallant use, the electronic board has failed. With replacing work in the authorized service center “Samsung” the watchcase has damaged.
my s2 has the message icon and I can reply with my watch and it's a non Samsung but LTE version.. my s3 does not have messages reply option (non Samsung phone non LTE version)? what's the mystery?

Does this have a simple compass screen? I know it has GPS but I can't a compass option in any videos or their website.

You have to select manually and I haven't noticed any burn-in a year that I have been using it.
