They expect you to set your phone down for 20-25 minutes instead of hanging up. I guess they think that as long as the phone is tied up no one can call to tell you you’re being scammed.
This is my favorite I really love the old scam bate calls! sometimes I will scroll through the highlights on Twitch. it takes me like 20 minutes, but I can get through about three years back some times! and then I can watch some videos and it’s just freaking awesome!!!

omg! this is back when you were a nooblet and wasn't all super pro yet :'3 a little "baby's first scambaiting" memory capsule lol! it's like when you come across some super epic artist on deviant art and then find their old "they used to be just as crappy as you" doodles hidden in their scrap gallery or something lol. that's the part that's more inspirational than the "omg how did they get that good at whatever they're doing" is realizing they didn't automatically start out better than you, they just stuck with it longer
i see so many "i got a scam call and said (whatever), they hung up lol" comments. it's easy to get scammers to hang up on you. they've heard smartass remarks and jokes and morality lectures a thousand times and don't even pay attention/remember what you said, they just hang up and call the next person since their goal is to call as many people as possible as fast as possible. getting them to actually say on the line is what requires skill.
