- La Samaritaine, currently owned by LVMH, is a large luxury department store in Paris, France, located in the first arrondissement.
The building store, which reopened in June 2021 after a long renovation,has been listed since 1990 as a historical monument by the French Ministry of Culture.

La Samaritaine is very luxury oriented, a bit more than Galeries Lafayette that's all.
I missed this beautiful store when I was in Paris in 2005, as it was being refurbished, and it was closed. So disappointing.
Go and see it, even if you don't buy anything. Unfortunately I have no willpower and bought loads
I can imagine how many people try to enter this elegant store who are not properly dressed or who behave like uncouth yahoos. This is a special place and should remain so. Do the doormen refuse entrance to those they deem to be "unworthy"?
Very much NOT a 21st century attitude. Harrods in London used to have a dress code for shoppers.
It seems a bit empty not much traffic, is it on a workday filming or something else happened?
