I am taking a vacation to a hot med. climate and have chosen to wear almost all linen, a panama type hat, linen soft unstructured linen jacket and an espadrille type shoe. Very much like your model and I feel very comfortable with my choices. Your video reinforced my choices and was quite timely. Thanks.
Loved all these looks very much as usual, Brian, but I must say that I was a bit distracted by that awesome luggage in "look #1"! I hate to say it, but I think it upstaged you. haha I had not heard of Steamline before, so thanks! Beautiful stuff and love the old trunk feel. If I hadn't just purchased a set from Away (their aluminum version which I also love) - I'd be all over that! Happy Travels (someday!)
I just returned from a summer vacation in Spain and Portugal. I was never a big linen fan, but thank goodness I brought some linen polo shirts. Those, along with lightweight shorts was the only way to survive. Also, boxer shorts rather than briefs is a must, even with shorts. Just keep your knees together when riding mass transit ;)

I love the tucked in polo shirt. I know some people think it's silly, but I really think it totally elevates the look, especially with those lovely trousers, with their side fasteners and the button front. Sometimes, a little tucking goes a long way.
You dress better than most people on your vacation. Lol. When I go on vacation I want to dress even more casual.

All these vacation videos are perfect! Going on a 2 week vacation to Paris/France, Belgium, and Venice, and I want to be well dressed 100% of the time. Great video, Brian!

Great video. Loved that it:
- is 5 mins long; everything was straight to the point
- is about getting the most mileage (hello pun) for each piece that you pack; sort of makes buying quality pieces ($$$) more sensible
- shows how you don't have to stuff your luggage to be stylish (makes travel easier!)
- talks about loafers for easier airport security checks! great subtle detail
* speaking of this, would've been cool to see what cabin bags / weekenders can accommodate the rest of the clothing when packed. Certainly the style can extend to these accessories too.

Very well put together, and an inspiration to do my own more modest version as I'm a bit older. It's tricky i find in the summer to look manly
and stylish. I'm not at all some kind of macho man but people around here just don't dress like that at all and maybe it's de rigeur in St tropez
or somewhere civilised. I live in a nice part of town, there's an american over the road has his own business, wears hoodies and shorts. i dresfor my comfort primarily and I like decent quality. I think this will help me if i keep watchimg it I'm just not very goog at putting things
together.

Brian, Nice video. I always overpack when my family go on holiday. My philosophy is, “always be prepared”. I seem to change clothes more frequently on holiday.
I typically do as well. Do something like this is actually a good experiment. It forces you to really think beforehand and work with what you have. Try it out!

This is such a great video and all the looks are terrific. I note in all your outfits, the shirt is tucked in. Do you recommend this for a more refined look?
All excellent combinations. I'd like to see this same video for night outfits & day outfits for ultra-hot conditions i.e. too hot for a jacket, belt or cotton pants and too little protection from the sun in a polo. Think Sharm El Shikh, Egypt in August or Singapore in the withering, humid heat of summer.

Thank you Brian. Two simple question. 1. Is it better to tuck the polo shirt when we wear it with a blazer? 2. Is it a good idea to pair short sleeve shirts with blazers and suits?
1. Absolutely. A must.
2. Not all the time, but it works. Especially when it's hotter. Less fabric on the body helps keep a bit cooler!
Perfect wardrobe, now we just need a hot chica and two business class tickets to paradise!!

I think vacations are when you really need to plan out your wardrobe, with some wiggle room for those unexpected moments and you seemed to have nailed most of the situations one might run into! Great looks as usual, I guess you also skipped the easy option out for watch choice (Nautilus), for added challenge perhaps?
Completely agree with planning as well as also planning for the unexpected. Didn't use the 5711 mostly due to the colors--lots of browns and blacks.

I used to love dressing "Dapper" in my mid 20...made my go to store for shopping J.Riggins back in the early to Mid 90's dropped off and became sporty and casual with no style

Thanks, Alejandro! Hats are interesting. If you're not used to wearing them, you really have to get used to seeing yourself in one. Could take some time. Definitely takes a bit of confidence. A good panama for summer and brown felt fedora for fall/winter are great first choices.

-good outfit ideas/direction. i really like looks 1, 2, 5 & 6. not really a fan of the printed shirt, but love the denim one.
-1 thing i would do differently is to make sure that black and DARK brown are not adjacent to each other (i.e. polo and belt in look 1).
-another thing which you don't like and i do, for CASUAL style, is to wear casual shirts untucked at times, provided that they are of the right length. and if i may say so, you needa watch your gig line, sometimes it's not aligned.

Great video, Brian. I seem to be way more casual on vacation than you, even when I’m on a cruise I find myself in shorts almost every day. Even at night too. I like your outfit choices and will have to walk around the block to my Bonobos guideshop and checkout that denim shirt. I just picked up another pair of shorts from them.
Question about your no show socks, both my Bombas and Stance seem to show when I’m wearing my driving mocs. Thoughts?
