Recently the Army recieved all new dozers to replace the D7 F and G models that had been in the system for at least 20-25 years if not more in some units. Most had seen service in either Iraq or Afghanistan, or both . The Cat equipment that my National Guard unit had was all sent back to Cat for a rebuild after we got it back from Iraq. All Cat equipment was replaced starting in either 2013 or 14, not for sure. Of course the active duty units got the new stuff first, then the reserve and guard units. Unfortunatly,construction equipment in the military doesn't really see a lot of hard service because, especially here in the states, the COE has to give civilian contractors as much work as possible on military bases, even though Army engineers are very good at what we do given half a chance. All the projects I worked on in the Guard were completed on time, under budget and above standards. You be the judge.
