- The T28 Prot. has one of the worst stock tank grinds in the game, so bad it made me look back fondly at grinding out the VK3001P. It's also one of the slowest vehicles in the game, and coming from the same line that delivered the M18 Hellcat and T49, that comes as a real shock to the system.
Stick with it though, and learn a thing or two about analysing the map and enemy team list, and you'll find it to be one of the more interesting TDs to play.

Imagine driving a T29 with a broken engine and jammed turret traverse against IS-7s. That's what driving this thing with the 105mm gun is like.
Going through the both american TD lines simultaneously helps a lot with this thing. When I elited the T25/2 instead of going straight for the T28 proto I started grinding the T25 AT I had bought earlier on discount. I just transferred all the modules from the T25/2 to the T25 AT. 170mm pen 90mm gun is quite playable at a tier 7 TD.
Once I unlocked the 105mm gun I sold the T25 AT and started grinding the T28 Proto. The 105mm is workable at tier 8. After all it's the gun that the T32 gets.
Jingles was spot on about a lot of the tanks 'features.' You can bounce shots from a surprising number of tanks. However, regarding the speed: it is slow enough that you will come into the fight with most of the brawling done and be able to clean up kills. Until you get that engine and 120mm, you're a support. Once you get it, you can brawl with IS-3s and Tiger IIs
It's as high as it will go. But getting a professional quality mic in a few weeks.
this tank has a special place in my heart, along with the T28 and T95, it is one of the few tanks that I have successfully given the circle of death to in my black prince.

Good assessment of the T-28 Prototype. I've not seen this video before and just came across it as I'm about to move on to the T-30. So although this vid doesn't let me know what I'm in for it does let me know how far The Mighty Jingles has come in his commentary style. Good progress, Jingles!
I am in the T30 now and loving it but I kept my T28 Prot. It is hands down one of the best TD's I have played so far. Hands down its a beast!

Wow! Thank god you got this review over. I'm currently grinding through this tank right now, its not fun in all honesty. I've come to appreciate its armor though, one game when i was on the top bounced 24 shots from front. Its amazing people dont know how to kill this thing

1. Liked the T57 Heavy, I generally like the idea of tanks with autoloaders that have reduced ammo loads but load that ammo faster.
2. You need to be pointing your gun at the tank to see what's damaged. They may just not be damaged, or have used a repair kit.
I would go for the Jagdpanther, but purely because it can actually move when it needs to. The T25AT leads to some of the slowest and heaviest machines in the game, but if you don't mind that, go for it. The T25AT is the last time you'll be driving a fast TD if you choose to go for it.

I'm now grinding through the T25/2 and I am getting tired of playing it, would it be smart to use free xp to get the T28 Prot or save the free xp to upgrade the Prot?
Jingles great vid. Another one of those whats that tank question. Today i came across an A32 it was too fast so i couldnt tell if it was russian or not, but any clue to what it is?
I am liking this tank (once i got the 105mm with free exp, that crap 90mm from the T25/2 will not cut it at tier 8), the speed I'm used to since I have been through the churchills and the black prince and the mighty TOG II*, cannot wait for the 120mm.
What kind of computer you have and how do u reduce lag i have like 5fps and 150 ping :(

Jingles, it appears that you have several replays of the T28 Prototype but none of the T28, any chance of doing a comparison of the two? I have played both and find them to be incredibly different, but seeing your take could be fun.
It needs it, can't angle the hull the same way you can and should with the Prototype, so brute armour thickness it is!

but i went for slugger then i will go for hellcat aim for t28prototype and from it i can get t28 and then i can get both TD tier X with turret and with out turret >> what u think about this... or u think i should ignore the US TDs with turret some ppl say they are bad but i don't think they are bad
What do you personally believe is better, the ISU-152, or the T28 Prototype? I only own the ISU, and I personally believe it's better, but I might be biased to the BL-10 :)

Oh it shouldn't take long, I retrained the crew for it today, can start playing it now.
I think as far as the game modes go, the leader or the platoon/company has to have the desired game modes marked because it'll run it from them, or so it seems from the little platooning that I do. Also, two questions: 1) What do you think of the T57 Heavy line, and 2) Why does my commanders ability that sees what is broken on another tank (forgot the skill name) not work a lot of the time? It rarely kicks in and I was wondering if you had an idea why.

I know my fault, but I'm only checking things in the patch notes about German tanks nerfs. If there is none, or not affects any of the tanks that I'm playing then I'm happy.
I think the main problem with assault mode is that it relies too much on teamwork and coordination in random matches where finding 14 other players who can breathe and think at the same time is tough at the best of times.
Word of advice, playing in 16:10 aspect ratio, gives you about 50-100meters of view range, not the stat but how far the PC renders, it also gives a minor zoom effect making that shot a wee bit extra precise.

Hey jingles, I've been playing the prototype for a while now and find its best to hit the turret from the front as it starts to curve, not the flat area next to the mantle

yeah it's tricky to make lots of money in but definitely doable. judicious use of HE helps since they are almost half the cost and you can usually find enough thin-skinned targets with the MM it gets. one-shotting Hellcats never gets old. i'm actually considering getting Intuition for my loader since i switch ammo types so often in it.
never tried the ELC. i was already halfway to the 13 90 when it got introduced so i never bothered to go back to it. i might though, seems very popular.

Good to hear your IS-7 review is coming soon! But you should do some T-50 videos, it's so agile, that it can drift and do U-turns (thanks to physics) :D

I just played my Marder at last. Two games. I had to play again after the first one in case I'd experienced a brain embolism while playing it the first time around and not noticed. But no, temporary loss of all muscle control wasn't to blame for how incredibly shit my first post-8.0 Marder game was. The Marder really is just that shit now.
jingles i'm sure someone's beaten me to the punch already but you can unlock the 105mm t5e1 gun on the t25 AT as well if you're doing both lines. should make the future grinds a lot more bearable.
also can anyone tell me how much the shells cost for the 120mm gun on this ?

Why doesn't it have the percentages of health shown on any of the allied or enemy tanks?
I was thinking one of the main problem with assault mode is the tanks you can be attackers and have 6 TD's. A good way to improve assault would forcing the attackers and defenders have different tank type. The attackers have 3 Arty, defenders 1. Attackers 0 TD, Defenders 6 etc. What do you think?
I never play new tanks till they are fully kitted out, im shitty enough without having to worry bout having crap modules to boot.

yeah if youre gonna switch shells intuition is very good. ELC became my 2nd favorite tank after T49 just because i played T49 first. I strongly recommend you try it out, it is a lot of fun, getting the top gun takes some time but when you get it just makes all the work worth it. :D
Your videos on the t28 have tuned up my skill with them. I'm surging longer and by default doing more damage
I recommend getting the T25AT first and unlocking the 105mm gun on that before buying a T28 Prototype. The T25AT is a great tier 7 TD, much more enjoyable than grinding the T28Proto with the stock 90mm.
When you drive the T28 prot. the greatest thing is when you encounter poor players who goes for "shoot at the big flat front hull". You can bully so many heavies in this thing, and I love it.
In my hands this tank is better than the T30, it has a reliable gun and good front armor. The speed doesn't bother me anymore, as it gives me more time to think out my moves and I can predict the fighting in one area and avoid going there if the team is winning that fight.
The T30 has nightmarish gun. While the alpha damage is nice and all, combination of the armor, the accuracy and the reload time makes it such a let down. Also with the high alpha comes great RNG. The gun can do anything between 600-900 damage, which isnt great when you have to kill something on ~700hp. In short it's anything but reliable.
yeah, gotta love players who think Arty was nerfed and play stupidly accordingly....Arty is still very dangerous (just less likely so). GJ on the 3 TG's.

Top left? That's my fps. Top right is the battle timer, that's always been there.
In the case of the Pz4, it had a tier 5 TD gun, on a tier 5 medium. A nerf was coming and everyone knew it. It was my faveourite teir 5 medium, but I felt cheesy using it.
I don't understand the new renderer, whenever i try to run the improved graphics my fps takes a nosedive 6ft below ground.

Im amazed on how the graphics were improved, 80-100 fps from the patch before, now its 121-roughly 155fps :P

T28 proto one of my favorites... its a good anti noob tank cause you can't rush and its also good armor and can face heavy tanks and win once you get the 120mm gun.
Watching this makes me so glad I already had the T95 maxed before I evens tarted down the turreted American TD line. Screw using that thing with the 90mm gun, it wasn't even good enough at tier 7.
