"How is he able to do this, still have comedic timing, still be funny but be extremely intelligent on top of that?" Its because George was absolutely brilliant far and beyond ahead of his time. A true revolutionary, he opened a lot of peoples minds to a ton of shit going on in the world that is generally unacknowledged or at least was at the time. There will never be another on his level.

His own standards differed from others' standards. He noticed, marked it down, put it together. He had a goal, that is, to speak truth - something that was separate from what most accepted. He could do it without sounding like a hippie. He often presented a solution within his presentation as well.

How was he able to deliver these precise monologues with the right comedic pauses and emphasis? A staggering work ethic and dedication to practicing the material. There is or was some footage of him rehearsing, and he was fanatical about getting it right so that he could deliver it consistently show after show. He was like a virtuoso musician dedicated to engaging and flawless performances. And to top it off, the material was top notch, thought provoking, and just the right amount of uncomfortable.

    RIP George!
He was spot on, spot on. He opened your eyes and made you look around yourself and inside yourself. He touched the let me think nerve. You should react to his GERMS! monologue/routine. Then look around at what has gone down within this past year to us. You might think that he traveled though time, but he was a good judge of people and their reactions. He left us too soon. I can only wonder what he would say about our world today.
Love your reactions and your thoughts about George. Thank you for raising him up as the comic that he was/is.

He was the best. got to see him live two times. The thing I always found amazing and still do, is he could explain to people the importance of finding truth and logic in a sea of lies and doing it through comedy. But what was even more amazing then that was most people would just fall back to sleep after being slapped awake and slip right back into the lies and comfort of not questioning anything and doing as your told as according to plan. I would suggest “ It’s a big club and you ain’t in it “ if you haven’t already done so.

His ability to speak truth and make it funny is truly the gold standard in comedy. THAT WHY your amazed. It's always amazing when you are exposed to real genius. My favorite early George Carlin was when he portrayed the hippy dippy weather man and Flip did the news… so funny then and still funny now. He experienced and lived through the decades where things were changing in the world and the genius in that, to me, is he figured out what was really going on and why and he delivered it to the people. One of a kind.. RIP George❤️

Carlin did an entire other bit in this vein as a spin-off on the joke about pre-boarding at the airport. It is called Flying on the Airlines or Airline Announcements. He actually was very interested in language and made many forays in lampooning how we communicate. Even his breakout performance, "The 7 Words You Can't Say on TV" was among his set examples of this.

I’ve commented before, my 8th grade teacher introduced me to his humor in 1974 when I was 13. My husband and myself took my boys to see him, live, they were 10 or so. My surviving son, mentioned that and watching him together on TV as one of his favorite family memories. That boy, now a man tells the truth. Makes some folks uncomfortable. Makes his Momma proud.

I believe George Carlin is a most truthful person. He has brought to light and confirmed many of the beliefs I've held (but not allowed to utter as not to offend an elder and/or company for fear of being perceived as rude/incorrigible and, as a result, embarrassing my mother) from the time I was very young. (My sister- older- kept her "lip zipped") Oh, how I struggled with that!

The man was a genius and people who watch him pick up on it. Hes not afraid of telling it how it is with no apology. His style of comedy is an art form. He is missed by his fans that understand

George Carling was a genius in comedy and the English language. He always pointed to truths and the hilarity that comes with burying even the most simple of things. He never took stupid at face value; instead, he made fun of it.

I really enjoy your reactions, and come by often. But I think your best reactions are offered around George Carlin and your analysis of his comedy and the intelligence, indeed genius, behind it. He is immortalized with many other fantastic comedians at the National Comedy Center in Jamestown NY, something George Carlin's daughter played an important role in helping to get off the ground, along with Lucy Arnez, Lucille Ball's daughter. I think you would love the place and the very deep dive they take into the role comedy plays in our world. It's not just a place of static exhibits, though there is much to see there. It's also a place of real examination and introspection about how comedy reflects back to us the real world we live in, and makes us laugh at ourselves in a way few other means of expression allow. I think you'd truly appreciate it. Anyway, thanks for the great work you do on your channel. Its great stuff.
