And he's done over 300 albums. And he's invented 4 additional tapping techniques. And designed guitars. And at 6'7" hes the same height as Arjen Lucassen.

And Arjen seldom goes on stage. But everyone else plays his music.

This guy is so cool. We all know that "Buckethead doesn't speak." So he finds great ways to engage with his fans - like this; handing out toys and doing cool non-musical performance-art type things. I really, really admire and respect this guy. Watch how gentle he is tossing the toys out into the audience. I think there were some kids there and he made certain that they received some special toys. What a unique talent this guy is. I can't get enough Buckethead.

Thomas Ivan Gallito He actually started off with an empty box of Popeye's chicken on his head but it kept falling off. He doesn't really like KFC, it's just that their bucket fits hid head a little more snuggly. Besides, KFC is part of Yum and they own Taco Bell, and if they were to unite with Buckethead there would be no doubt that they would achieve absolute global domination. And you know what that means? That's right, nothing to eat but KFC or Taco Bell and it won't make a fraction of a fuck which one you choose because we'll all be drowning in a fucking tidal wave of diarrhea. Bon appétit.

I didn't even know about him playing for GnR til last week, then I actually listened to his music. This guy is amazing. Sort of a modern day Hendrix in regards to innovation and showmanship, but Jimi is far greater. It would be cool if he had a good band, with a singer and all that. This is just sort of a exhibition.

I tried playing guitar when I was a kid in the 60's. I had a fender acoustic and played on stage a few times when I was like 12 or so in grammar school for school pageants and stuff like that and took lessons. I had little ability and no ear and I knew I could never play like the best. I tried the best I could but it was above me and I had to give it up as I didn't want to waste any more of my dad's money on more lessons. If you like playing and can play then keep playing for your soul.

Perhaps the most naturally gifted guitar player ever.

    • @shadowproductions969

A guy that shreds like that has probably spent thousands of hours perfecting his riffs.. no guitarist is naturally that good. You can have a gift that you understand what you're doing and fingers are fast and flexible.. but from kids to Buckethead it takes months of long days and nights to get as good as some of those kids and years to get like buckethead

@slowgo93 I agree, it does suck.. But when you play at a venue or in this case, a music festival, there are other artists playing as well.. so each artist has a set amount of time to play their set.

  • @paragatidas

Seems he want to have just nothing then free sincere expression (you don't ?). This is his way how to do that, but if we really would like to do such thing, the question is how would it look really then. Although I am musician and guitarist with many classical approaches I didn't mater about his atonal playing or anything, than I enjoying this real full guitar talented, sincere and innocent performance ... excellent guitar sound ...

hand stuff out in a carrier bag, then virtuoso bass solo to "let's jam". And then massive guitar solo thing. Top night out.

I can not believe Buckethead had to endure axl. He should only play with guys like Les Claypool, Brain, Joe Satriani and a few others.....and his own bassist and drummer.
I just saw Buckthead on Oct 5. He ripped it up in Reno. Vide of the show is on youtube if you want to see it. I got to tapped the kill switch on his guitar. I use a wheelchair and he stuck his guitar out for me to tap it. Dudes way cool. And I got a scooby doo figure.
