I bought the same griddle a couple years ago, fished it out of storage the other day and took the rust off and it's like new! Works great as a baking steel as well.
Good job buddy. I just picked two of these and will be making breakfast in the morning for my family. Thank you for sharing the video, the food came out great.
I was thinking about getting the Black Stone, but now I think I’ll get the Lodge instead. I have the same Weber BBQ too. Thanks for reviewing it and saving me some $$$!
Thanks for the comment mrdellasc! Only draw back on the blackstone is the pre cleaning and after cleaning then pre cleaning again before you use it , I was so much happy with lodge with the small bunch I cook for👍
I dont have a problem cleaning a griddle. So i dont think id have a problem with a Blackstone. But im working with an inherited BBQ grill. It mostly still works. And its gas, and im not a huge fan of gas grills. I have a griddle that fits the grill almost exactly and am stoked about it. Just need to get it leveled properly. And get a rig to properly clean char from the grill. I thought i had it seasoned enough but nope. Ill get it tho. Lol, let us know about your time laps. You lit the coals and they were ready a half second later. Don't know about the potatoes, but the burgers and steaks look fine.
Thanks Mike for the comment! I really like the lodge grill griddle, as for the black stone I don’t hardly use it , so for the price the griddle was a better deal for someone out there that hasn’t dropped 300 yet 👍
Get a laser thermometer! Get that griddle over 450 deg and you'll cook off all the seasoning. 400 deg is plenty. Plus you'll save a fortune on Kingsford.
So... A suggestion. When you scrape your griddle down. And spray it off with a hose. Domt trust a paper towel to dry it properly. Put it back on a hot grll or your kitchen stove to properly cook off all the water. Then reason it.

The Lodge griddle is the perfect size for using on a Coleman two burner grill. Makes it much more versatile especially when camping.
Thanks for the comment mopesrus! Never thought about the 2 burner even know I got one , excellent idea ! 👍

Lodge just makes really great, and useful products.
Honestly, I figured I would do this instead of buying a blackstone. Great video!!!
Thanks for the comment joberthair ! You will really like it ! If had to do over again I would have passed on the blackstone 👍
Thanks for this video- exactly what I wanted to see!
Thanks for the comment Moin ! Pretty pleased with it never go blackstone again 👍
You worked harder lighting the charcoal than I do cleaning and seasoning my Blackstone!
Thanks for the comment Steven ! Your probably right 😎I miss my pellet smoker going to get one soon ! 👍
Thanks! Got a grill pan on a stove wouldn't cook steaks or burgers through. Just gonna use it like you in Weber. For da grill marks.
