You were my lunch time entertainment to day. I loved hearing how the kids are doing and can tell how proud you are of them. I still had one of my Mom's Told in a Garden charts that she had stitched but recently gave it to someone who was looking for one. It has been many many years since I entered anything into our country Fair but I can still remember the thrill of getting a ribbon for my stitching. I had put them in a scrapbook along with a photo of the particular piece I had entered. One of the pieces was the wedding sampler I stitched for my oldest son and a couple of the Cross Stitch and Country Crafts Christmas stockings I stitched for my grandchildren many years ago. I love the term Granny Nannie and your plans for being one. And it is always fun to see what you are working on and to visit your "cave." And it is wonderful that you are making new tutorials for new crafts to share with others. Your ones on finishing have given me the courage to try some of my own but only fairly simple things. The rest will come your way.
Thank you, Vonna, for this wonderful video. Congratulations on receiving all of your ribbons, and the accomplishments of your wonderful family. Yes, I would enjoy a tutorial from you on appliqué. That would be so nice! God bless you, friend. 🌺
Great info on Fair ribbons! TFS! Also, you’re just the cutest with your I-love-counting-my-ribbons comment. I chuckled out loud!❤️ And a resounding YES to the instructional wool appliqué!
Yes to wool! I have learned so much from your tutorials. You had so many great tips for punch needle. Congratulations on your fair finishes! The best news CANCER FREE!!!!!!! Bless you .
I just laughed out loud when you said you like to do your best at everything, but suck at losing weight. I’m right there with you. Congratulations on all the ribbons! The bride’s ornaments will be stunning and a perfect heirloom. I would be 100% overjoyed if you did a series of videos on wool appliqué. Thanks for such a great video and family update.
Yes yes yes yes YES to wool applique tutorial by you ❤️. Love your stitching and competitiveness...it just makes it so fun and yes...positive feedback helps us all. Hugs and continued blessings to you and your entire family for all the good and joy you are already blessed with ❤️
Your video was a walk down memory lane. One of my very first cross stitch finishes was Told In A Garden “The Quiltmaker”. I loved it then, And still love it. Still hangs in my house. Thanks Vonna🌺
Congratulations Vonna for all your accomplishments. You are doing a fantastic job with all your projects. You don’t need to apologize for wanting to do your best for whatever reason.

I love St. Augustin too and would say it's my favorite Florida destination! I live near Tampa Bay! Vonna, thank you for taking the time to share your joys and happy news!
I love your videos. I have watched you from the beginning. Congratulations on your ribbons. I am not competitive. And I am not concerned about my stitching. I have stitched for over 45years. I love the Amish also. I have alot of prints of P Buckley Moss who does Amish paintings. You have always inspired me. Especially with your stitching. You enabled me to stitch all the Prairie Schooler patterns. Wonderful news about your children. And hopefully you will get that grandbaby. I have 22 grandson in the navy and 2 year granddaughter. They are my biggest joy! .
Amazing results at fair Vonna!! Congratulations for all your beautiful stitching 😍 Glad to hear your health scare turned out okay Angels were with you..just amazing achievements for all the kids ...congratulations on the engagements...and you truly are blessed to have your daughter living in the neighborhood enjoy!! Take good care🤗♥️
Sweet Vonna - welcome back! Love seeing your smile! How happy to know your kids are doing so well and finding lifetime partners, too! Yay! Please do create a video of your wool applique techniques! I've always wanted to see how this was done...I just adore penny rugs! Blessings and prayers to you my dear! Happiness is what you bring to me! Hugs and Love!
Vonna, I’m so competitive too. You deserve all of those ribbons. You’re the best of the best, and your fans all give you grand champion flosstuber, cross stitcher, finisher!!! Oh my gosh, I’m so jealous that you’re daughter lives by you! I tried talking our kids into buying a home two doors down from us but the housing market is so crazy they couldn’t have won the bid. I’ve still got my fingers crossed though!!! 🤞🏻They just had our first grandchild on Aug 10, and I’m going to watch the baby a few days each week when both parents are working. Our daughter is an RN working the post operation floor at a huge hospital, and her husband has a gold/silver exchange shop by our house. Your family is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your life with us all!
Wow wow wow!!!!! What a fantastic video!! All your ribbons for all your gorgeous stitching!!! All your projects are stunning!!! Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!! You will be quite busy for a while. Happy times!! See you again!!!!
Congratulations on your ribbons from the State Fair! Well deserved. Congratulations also on all of the wonderful life accomplishments your children are achieving. You are super busy and truly blessed. I would enjoy a series of wool appliqué showing how you do it. Thanks for all the work filming and prepping this video.
That is I amazing all the ribbons that you have won. You certainly deserve them. Your work is just beautiful. I haven't been to a fair in years but the one thing that I enjoyed was looking at all the needlework.
Loved seeing you again and loved your video with all the wonderful content. Congratulations to you for all your ribbons and to all your family members and their special events. Your the best Vonna.
Congrats on your ribbons!! A nice reward for your hard work! I so enjoy your videos. You are so real and down to earth. Just like you are my neighbor and good friend!! You’ve given me good ideas how to finish my projects! Thanks for all you do.
I would love you to show us your method for doing wool appliqué. You do all your needlework so beautifully, and you are so generous with sharing your expertise.
Congratulations on your ribbon wins! I can’t imagine anyone beating you out in any of those categories. Sounds like you have some fun wedding stitching coming up! -Sheri
So worth the wait Vonna, just love you, thanks for sharing everything, that wedding sampler and the tree ornaments are going to be stunning 💞. Kathy UK xx
Oh, Vonna, I hear you! I, too, am very competitive -and also perpetually failing at weight loss challenges. I have just discovered your FlossTube - and several others! I am so much enjoying catching up - and looking forward to many more. Thank you sooo much for being a great educational resource! 😊
Congrats on all you ribbons (no surprise as you do such beautiful work) !! Nothing wrong with being competitive (especially with yourself) - I love how you are so real and genuine with us. Thanks for sharing the pics (you have a beautiful family),
Congratulations 🎉. Stitching is my therapy still I love to reach a point where I say I’m an excellent stitcher. In the world of embroidery we mostly compete with ourselves.
Congrats on all your Fair entries! I'm glad to see you in your cave. I just left Anderson two weeks ago and always love coming home. I felt both happy and sad about your kids, they just grew up right before our eyes and they are doing so well! You and Keith did a fantastic job raising your family. Much Love to you all😍
Great to see you Vonna!! The pieces you entered in the Fair are gorgeous! So happy for you that you won so many ribbons! Congratulations on all the great news about your family! ❤❤❤ How lucky Katie will just be 7 doors down from you!! My kids and littles are 5 hours from me. We live in an area that is beautiful but has about zero opportunities for young people. I absolutely love the ornaments you'll be doing for Katie. I may have to buy them for my 3 granddaughters. My Nico get a Prairie School Santa every year and he loves them! My mother lived St Augustine too! She loved all the artists painting at the beach. Sadly, she only went there once and had always planned to go back and find a little cottage. God had other plans for her and called her home in 2009. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Your kitchen looks Amazing!!❤😊
Those ribbons are treasures! I still have mine from when I was about 10 years old in 4-H. The competitions at the state fair was the highlight of the year back then and I treasure those memories! Congrats on your achievements!
All of your projects are beautiful! I wish there was more appreciation of hand needlework here in my area. We do not have the summer fairs here the way you do. I do wool appliqué and would like to see your methods - it’s always good to pick up new tips and ideas!
What a wonderful newsy video. Thanks so much for the update on the family. Congratulations on the accolades from the county fair. Well deserved. I consider you to be the authority on all things cross stitch. I don't know why anyone else would bother putting up tutorials. Yours are the best. I am intrigued by punch needle, but I can't let myself fall down another hobby rabbit hole. All the best, K
Congratulations on your ribbons. In the past 6 years I have had the honor to meet a lot of Amish families and they are so kind, sweet, etc. I love reading about their culture. You are so good at everything that I have seen you do, you are so selfless in having so many tutorials for finishing and classes for other crafts. I would love to be like you, my confidence is so low at finishing that I never try because I want them to be perfect and look like yours do. You made me laugh so much during this video. I enjoyed watching your video today and as always enjoy all of your videos. Thank you
Vonna I loved hearing about the kids! I feel like I’ve been watching them grow up for several years now, and praying for their happiness, so it’s fun to see how they’ve matured. Thanks for explaining the ribbon hierarchy. I’ve never understood that before but now it makes sense. So good to see you today! Blessings, Marlene
I really enjoyed watching you with all of your ribbons! Very cute! And how accomplished! Congratulations to you! And to your lovely family--I hope things are going well for you. Maybe you are a grandma-nanny by now! Love your videos and I plan to get all the supplies and take your punch needle online class. Yay for Vonna!
Yes yes yes on your wool appliqué Tutorials, that would be fantastic! I have completed my first very small wool appliqué kit and I have started cutting out my second medium size one. It’s a little intimidating to me even though I’ve been a cross-stitcher for years and quilter. So I have been a crafter for years but wool isn’t cheap & I’m now retired 😱😊. Also I wanted to add congratulations on your very successful family and you should be very proud of them. Congratulations to Katie on her engagement and their first house, it is gorgeous, wow. My first home didn’t look like that at all, lol 🤣. I am German dissent as well, my mothers maiden name was Onstott! Talk about German, lol 🤣 I think we must be sisters 🤩🤩🤩
Loved the visit Vonna! You are the best and such an inspiration! Your ribbons were well deserved! Love the redecorating. Congrats on all that is going on! I would love for you to do some wool appliqué with us! Love the kitchen too!💕
Congratulations. I agree with everything you said about the fairs and the ribbons and trying to encourage people about home arts. I enter everything I can into both our county and state fair. I try to encourage people to gain an interest in the home arts. I do cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint and plastic canvas. I love winning the ribbons and look for that recognition. I have a drawer full of them that I am proud of. As with you I take what the judges write on my entries very seriously and work to improve my work. My mom lives with me and every time I rip something else she says "it's good enough". I always tell her "no - it isn't good enough for the judges".
Oh gosh...I enjoyed your video so much! Congratulations on the ribbons for all of your hard work...all of your finished pieces are just beautiful! Yes, yes, & yes...please do videos on your wool applique...I have been a wool applique'r for years, but I always enjoy watching other's techniques! Thank you for a wonderful l morning as I stitch and sip coffee!! God Bless you and your family.
I think a wool applique tutorial is perfect!!! I know just enough to be dangerous!!! As I was watching this episode yesterday, my ears perked up when you mentioned Terre Haute, Bloomington and Indy. I'm a Hoosier native, Fort Wayne born, raised and live east of the city! Small world....GO COLTS!!!
What a great video. It was so nice to have you back. Thank you for sharing all of your family news and stitching and fair winnings! Congratulations on all of the exciting events of your kids. I love the idea of the bride ornaments
Love seeing your cave tales pop up Vonna! Or should l say Vionna 😂 omg you had me howling. Absolutely fabulous as usual and all them ribbons! Wow Well done you 👏 loved it as usual, hope you and your family enjoy the rest of summer and see you soon. Take cake 💗🧵
Congratulations on your most recent fair ribbons, Vonna! I have to say that I can’t even imagine anyone else’s stitching and finishing topping your beautiful work!! I would love tutorials of your way to appliqué! Whenever I need a teaching tutorial for any type of needlework that I do, I ALWAYS go to your videos. Thank you for your generous spirit! I, personally, very much appreciate it! ❣️
Congratulations on all of you ribbons. You need to make a wall of ribbons in the cave. Get them OUT of the box!!! Just say'n.Keep on keeping on with the Cave tails. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome back! It's been too long since we've been able to share your world, so a big thank you. It's astounding what you are able to pack into your time... and still feel time to laugh. Please, please, please keep sharing, you are so generous with your expertise and we all benefit. Hooray for Vonna 👏👏👏 (definitely NOT Vionna!) 😍
Wow, no wonder you are busy, 2 graduations, 2 engagements plus life with 2 other kids! You are so lucky having your daughter and future son in law 7 doors down! Of my 3 kids, we are in California, one 2 hours away, one in Arizona and one with 4 granddaughters in Washington! Congratulations on your fair pieces, beautiful as always.
Hi Vonna aka “Viona”😁, thanks for the video- enjoyed hearing all your goings-on! I’d LOVE a wool appliqué tutorial! Loved the photos at the end. Good times! ☀️💛
Love all your projects. I am very competitive as well and have received ribbons and best of the show for some of my quilts. I only started up with cross stitch again after 30 year hiatus, during Covid. I’m right there with you on the weight loss journey😂😂
Yes!! I would love for you to do a wool appliqué tutorial. I have some kitted projects but haven’t done in years so definitely need a refreshers course ☺️ Congratulations on your beautiful fair ribbons! Happy Stitching 🧵🪡✂️
Hi Vonna, congratulations on the Monroe County fair ribbons. So many great family blessings shared. Congrats to Katie and fiancé on engagement and soon to be new home and their upcoming wedding.
HI Vonna ! Misty Purcell - Luminous Fiber Arts - introduced you on her tutorial for finishing her pattern today ! She credited You and Your tutorial as the initial instructor - she just did it a bit different . SO enchanted was I by this ribbon rouching , and wanting to see the beading you had done - here I am ! Utterly delightful are you - Fabulous stitching , Fabulous finishing . This visit was a PERFECT first visit. I now will have the PLEASURE to start from the beginning and catch up ! Thank you , Vonna ( ^ ; * ) As a new stitcher - this is GOLD !!!!!!!! All the best, marcia
Your home is wonderful and inviting.... Congratulations on your ribbons and Congrats on your children graduating and starting their new journeys....I know your heart is full...ty for sharing this video with us
Congratulations on the fair ribbons and all the wonderful news of your family. So nice that you get to live close to your daughter for all the years to come. I started the brides tree series the year my daughter got married and wanted to give them for their first anniversary - well you just motivated me to finally finish that last one and then hopefully send them off to you for the perfect finish. My daughter and husband just celebrated their 3rd anniversary so I'm a little off the mark for when I wanted them gifted lol It's the beading that is my roadblock. thanks for the update it is always so nice when a video pops up with you in it - I really enjoyed and learned a lot from your sewing machine series! I taught myself to sew/quilt during the pandemic.
Just love your videos! I laughed out loud when you said you can do it all except the darn weight loss stuff! That is me too! I can commit to and get anything done … except that 🤣
Congratulations on all the ribbons you won! Your stitching and finishing are amazing! I have never done a wool appliqué and I would be so appreciative of your tutorials! Jill from Ontario Canada
Congratulations on all your fair ribbons. How exciting to be having your daughter marry and the ornaments and wedding sampler you have selected is just over the top. You are such a talented lady and I hope you know how much I appreciate all the things you share with the needlework world. God Bless, Norma in Boise, ID
Omg that is so awesome that she is just a few downs down…. That was always my dream to live within walking distance from my family. What a joy for you… and I’m glad that the biopsy came back clear!!!the waiting is the worst part! Congratulations on all those ribbons 😃
Congratulations On your ribbons. You are sew honest and fun to watch. Our fair judges all crochet, knitting with cross stitch and needlepoint too. We are going to change that next year. In our tiny town numbers we’re down too. I love to go and see all the talent in our community. I always hang the ribbon on the back of the item I make. When you laugh it makes me laugh. Thank you for sharing.
Congratulations on your ribbons! Sorry about your health scare & so happy that you are healthy. St. Augustine is a beautiful place to visit. I work right down the road in Ormond Beach and live not that far from Stetson. Thank for sharing! You are the best at it! Always great to hear how you and your family are doing!❤
Vonna you are the best with or without the ribbons! You crack me up and I love watching your video (I would love it if you would put out more, but I understand). You are the only one who actually makes me laugh out loud. I can't believe that your children are graduating; I remember so well your video when you were discussing them choosing their collage path. Until next time, we appreciate you!
Congratulations on all your ribbons! It sure was nice to see you again. Congrats to your daughter’s engagement and the purchase of their new home. I am so glad they will be a few doors away. I am lucky that my only child, my daughter, lives about 15 minutes away. They built a new home 15 years ago and just had a renovation done that more than double the size. It is huge. The house my husband I live in is actually too big for us. I would like a smaller home with a huge sewing/craft room. Need a smaller kitchen. I would prefer less cabinets but a huge pantry. I would have less cabinets to clean. It takes forever to clean. I could spend that extra time cross stitching or quilting. Don’t need all that square footage to run the sweeper and mop the floors. My husband suggested getting someone to clean. I would rather clean my own home. I told him we could get someone to do the grass and he feels the same way. He would rather do it himself. In the meantime, as long as we can still do it, we will. When the time comes we can go to an assisted living facility.🤣🤣🤣. I love wool appliqué but I am allergic to wool. I would still be interested in watching a tutorial. Maybe I could stitch with tight fitting rubber gloves. I love how you decorate your home. We stitchers and crafters are so very blessed to have our hobby and have you, too!!💕. I am glad your results turned out good from your biopsy. Another thing I am blessed with is God loving and taking care of my family and myself. Thank Him everyday. I have given Him a lot to do over the years. He is always there for me. Have a wonderful time stitching and creating. Love all the things you have planned. You have a lot going, girl. Thanks, Vionna…oops, I mean Vonna.❤️🧵🪡❤️
As soon as my Quaker Parrot heard your voice, he started clucking softly to himself because he adores you. I love everything about this video. Your children are amazing!
Great video Vonna, fantastic achievements with your ribbons and love your philosophy of entering.Love your plans for the white sampler, I embroidered a white sampler a few years ago, it takes pride of place in my lounge. I too love whitework. The Brookes Books designs look fabulous and will take a look at their site. Wow to the beautiful home your daughter and her fiancee have bought, it is superb. It's been fun watching you Vonna, very enabling.
Hey Girl, Just wanted to let you know how much help you were to me several months ago when you replied to my question regarding what sewing machine to get. I got the BabyLock Brilliant and couldn't be happier. I now have a wonderful sewing room and have completed several quilt tops and have even begun to learn straight stitch quilting and free motion. I'm obsessed and loving my new hobby. Thank you again for your help and all you do for this community. You are the best! Yes to wool applique videos. And, lastly, congrats on your children and their wonderful blessings. You have everyright to be proud. Those are some pretty impressive young people!
So good to see a video from you again! Congrats on the Graduations , engagements & house purchase ❤️❤️❤️ ALL your ribbons are so impressive !!! Your home & redecorating is Beautiful !!!!!
I enjoyed catching up! Congratulations on all the ribbons. I thought while you were talking about your competitive spirit and why you enter the fair, how you inspire others and myself to do our best work. Thank you! I would love to be schooled on your way of wool appliqué. I’ll look forward to that in the future.
What a wonderful treat to wake up and see a new video pop up from you! I enjoyed “visiting” with you with my morning coffee and stitching. Congratulations on all of your beautiful ribbons! You have inspired me to work toward having projects to enter in my state fair next year. I would love to learn more about wool appliqué! If you decide to do that, I’m all in! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and hope that you get to make lots of x’s. ❤️
Such a treat to watch. Congratulations on your ribbons. What a great family. I bought the punch needle pattern. Can't wait to start. I would love a wool applique tutorial. Have a great week.

Can’t wait to see your Brook’s Books Bride’s ornaments and the wedding sampler; so gorgeous!! Love the redo in your kitchen. Happy stitching……………….
Great to see you again. I so enjoy your videos. I just watched a documentary about the Amish and it was fastinating. Congratulations on all those ribbons....in my opinion, you more than deserve every one of them and more. I laughed so hard at your plaque....too funny. I look for the day when you are a judge....I think you would be kind and encouraging. How wonderful to see all your family and your good health news. Thanks for sharing the exclusive through the Shepard's Needle. I am on the facebook group but somehow I missed it.......thank you, thank you.

Much Love to you all😍
Love your floss tubes and your tutorials are amazing. So kind of you to share your knowledge and talents with all of us. Congrats on you new ribbons.
It is sooo nice to see your face and hear your voice, Vionna! 😂😂 Lots of wonderful and exciting things happening in your world! ❤️
Love all your cave tales videos! Thanks for all you do for our community.

Congratulations on all your ribbons. You are such an inspiration in many ways. Thank you!!
Congratulations! Great news about kids, home and health. Thanks for the video. You are a joy to watch.
So very good to see a video from you. Thank you so much for ALL that you share with us. It is very much appreciated. Be well.

Congratulations on all you awards in the fair.🪡🧵♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love all your projects. I am very competitive as well and have received ribbons and best of the show for some of my quilts. I only started up with cross stitch again after 30 year hiatus, during Covid. I’m right there with you on the weight loss journey😂😂
YES to the wool appliqué, please! Your fair ribbons were well deserved.
Good to see you back Vonna. Congrats on the County Fair haul. It was lovely to hear that all four kids ae doing well.
Vonna! YOU should be judging the cross-stitch st the fair. Your work is phenomenal!
I can commit to and get anything done … except that 🤣
😂😂
Congratulations on all the ribbons you won! Your stitching and finishing are amazing! I have never done a wool appliqué and I would be so appreciative of your tutorials!
Jill from Ontario Canada
Congrats Vonna 🤣🤣Vionna . All wonderful works. Early americans stunning
Awesome fair pieces! Congratulations on your ribbons - well deserved.
You two are pretty great yourselves! 👍
All your ribbons! 😍
Yes, to wool videos! 😉
Awww that makes me so happy to know your Quaker likes me ❤️❤️ how sweet!
Yay! I am so glad that you found the right machine for you!!
Another great video!! Thank you for such positive words and a Christian witness; we all need that every day. Congratulations on your ribbons and on the achievements made by your family.
