@@cyansunrise4949 dude ALL cobblestone is "automatically generated" when moving water and lava touch. Calling it an automatic generator implies that you don't have to do anything in order to get the cobblestone
I watched this last night and followed the steps. It works..... But after that I did a few modifications, I know you said no redstone but I couldn't resist. (Mind you all was done in creative mode) Made a small elevation on the for, one on the water side and one on the lava side, gutted the barrier, took out the hoppers and chest and replaced them with pistons and sticky pistons with observers facing away so that the face was exposed. I alternated between piston and sticky piston, placed 3 Pistons and 2 sticky pistons where half of the chest was and continuing where the hoppers were, got them in place using a pillar of pistons and levers. Placed a sticky piston facing inwards to where the hoppers were in the second half of where the chest was, put it in place with a pillar of pistons and a lever. Placed a few more pistons/sticky pistons inwards to where the divider was. Placed a couple of pistons/sticky pistons on the sides on top facing inwards. Then, I started up the generator by placing observers facing the observers that were placed there previously (with the constant updates, the pistons/sticky pistons work like a well oiled machine) Once everything is working, then I started placing water on one of the elevated inclines, and then some lava on the other incline. Made sure to try and knock away the stones and obsidian to allow for the mid-section of cobblestone to form like the divider that was there previously. And then the magic started to happen, I had a few pillars of cobblestone being formed and some bridges started forming as well. It did require some maintenance, but for what it was doing I was pleasantly surprised as I saw these pillars just being formed, knocking some away only to see more being created in its place.
Thanks for this great tutorial. I'd recommend using obsidian for the upper, central partition, as well as the next to the hoppers, and back wall, just in case. Works well, even in 1.12.x :)
This vid gets a big fat like from me! I friggin love this cobble gen, (still cost me 2.5k for the hoppers on skycade skyblock) But this is great! I can set my mouse to click and walk away!!
Just a normal cobblestone generator, nothing automatic here.
automatic cobble generator and automatic cobble farmer.... there is a a difference....

I didnt work for me, the water was to quick for the lava so it was making stone where the lava was. :/
