@@jeditobiwan speaking of weird things that need polishing in the game, ive noticed weird things with the ak bayonet, like for example the bayonet not having an attachment point on the ak101 in the game (which is supposed to attach like the ak74) and the bayonet being positioned too far back on the muzzle on all ak variants where they wouldnt be. standard akm has 1 bayonet lug, where the hilt of the bayonet is supposed to attach (the bottom metal bit) and the ak74/ak101 variants have 2 bayonet lugs, the bayonet is supposed to attach to the one further up the muzzle, with the bayo ring on the end of the muzzle brake. other than that the bayonet is way oversized in the game, that could contribute to it. been wanting this ironed out since bayonets were implemented. I've shot a Five Seven and yeah, first several reloads some geometry on the mag got hung up on the bottom of the mag well. never handled and FNX so no idea if they fixed that but I assume they did.
If you ever do get the Carcano again, you can reload it using individual rounds. Good to have 1 quickbelt slot with clipped ammo, and another with a stack of individual rounds
The Five-Seven works fine for me. Perhaps turn off physical mags if you have it enabled until Anton fixes it. Edit: I guess anton isn't going to fix it
Flicking the gun into a twist as u release the mag is my strat with the 5-7, it's generally my fave firearm other than that nice .22 with the nightsights and tactical aesthetic

while we're talking polishing the guns, the TT-33 (I'm not sure if it's been fixed, I noticed this a while back) has a pinned trigger in game, while in real life it's a slide trigger like the 1911. A very minor issue, but once I noticed it, I can't un-notice it.
It’d be cool to see someone maybe when they get into cover and they have a gun with the sticky reload like that 5.7 just pull out their secondary or that shotgun and just place it on the floor in game and when your pistol runs dry pick it up

I've recently gotten back into H3VR after buying it arbitrarily for the Meat Fortress weapons (massive TF2 fan) and have started branching out. After trying Take and Hold, I can safely say this game was worth more than what I spent. On Site Procurement is fucking amazing. Just wondering if someone might be able to help me out; I'm having trouble getting behind enemies using stealth. They always seem to see me from every angle. Am I just imagining that and just need to be better at luring enemies? Is there a trick I'm missing? Etc.
The sosigs can hear quite well! Make sure you aren'g knocking guns/magazines together or anything off of walls. Even racking can be heard if I am remembering correctly. It can also be a challenge to determine where their face is, have to use their hats/masks or clothes for hints there. Keep playing, you'll find the sweet spots for sneaking up on them!

Do you have a set up video? I notice you aren't using an Oculus, yet you keep making this sweeping 180+ turns without ever seeing a cord in your way. One of my main issues with H3VR TaH right now is figuring out a movement style that both works in game, and doesn't strangle me on the PC Link cable. Haven't found a great solution yet. Care to share your secrets? Only about 160k people would ever know.
I dont have a setup video. Nothing special happening with my cable, i just have it on the floor and coming from behind me when i am facing "forward" - i also use TurnSignal to help keep the cable untangled. The rest is me just being used to living with a cable.
I use a locomotion method called Armswinger. When I hold down a button on each controller, making a swing motion on the controller causes me to move based on the swing's direction.
Do you have any tips for how to make using bolt actions less of a pain to use in the game? I'm using the Vive wand for my controller, would getting the steam controller make it easier?
@@Laggyproductions while holding right rifle, press and hold the right side of the touchpad on your trigger hand. That will automatically swap your grip to the bolt handle. You can then make the cycle motion to work the bolt. When you close the bolt, your grip is automatically returned to the weapon/trigger.
Best advice is just spend time playing with the categories of weapons. Once you get super comfortable and familiar with the controls, you'll be a pro in no time.

Something I find interesting to think about: being that the problems in-game with the 5.7 are intentional, faithfully reproducing its problems, is it still technically bad design? I'm a bit torn, in that I'd almost rather not have to deal with stuff that could be perceived as troublesome when I am already having issues due to adrenaline and lack of training. On the other hand, accurate simulation of the problems one would have in real life using the weapon is valuable in and of itself; "if it weren't hard, nobody would do it" and all that. Just something interesting to think about. I am reasonably glad Anton has opted for the latter route however, as it is likely to teach players to buck up and adapt rather than just make everything easy. Nah, no issue. Iran is gonna bleed out the US by the organ that hurts the most: the pocket. Little to no risk of troop deployment against a country that has more than bows and foul language. Look at the 2002 training exercise for one. Which was _before_ Iran had Putin's missile deployment and detection systems.
