2AM is one half of the group OneDay, with their brother group 2PM. 2PM debuted with a beast-like image focusing on pop/rap music. 2AM debuted as the softer side of One Day, focusing on ballads and powerful vocals. They are part of the 2nd Generation of KPOP, like IU, they debuted the same year. 2AM were managed by both JYP Entertainment with 2PM, and co-managed by BigHit Entertainment. They have an amazing discography. Including this 2021 comeback, where they have two title songs- one written by JYP, and one written by Bang Shihyuk PD.
The members, from left to right:
Jinwoon- youngest ('91), also raps sometimes
Jo Kwon- leader ('89), an icon in the kpop industry, amazing solo work
Changmin- oldest ('86), main vocals
Seulong- ('87), actor, IU's longtime friend
They are legends in KPOP, many idols and other artists have covered their songs, it's possible many have heard their music without knowing its them. I hope you react to more from them in the future, they never disappoint.
2am is a ballad group and 2pm is an idol dance group. They’re brother groups to each other and when they collab they’re referred to as ‘oneday’
2AM is one of a kind. While there have been plenty of groups focusing on dancing, rapping, they happen to be the only (maybe) ballad idol group now and then. They debuted in 2008, as far as I can remember, and have been praised with the voice and emotional performance. For international fans, they may not seem well-known, but I believe that they are legend to Korean, to some extent. I have been waiting for their come-back, and eventually, it really occurs.

The nickname Seulong got from doing the collab with IU was a play on "siballom" which is a really severe curse word, loosely translated to f*cking b*stard.

2PM and 2AM were supposed to debut as One day but were split instead. 2PM have upbeat songs because its supposed to be the hottest time of day (their fans are also called hottest for that reason). 2AM sang mostly ballads because its the time people are asleep or want to relax after a long day.
But they all crackheads IRL. Like, dont get fooled by 2AM soft and gentlemanly appearance, they are comedienne for sure. Esp Seulong and Changmin!
