- Aputure's original MC mini panel somehow managed to be a huge success in an already mini-panel crowded market. So their Pro followup aims to take their winning formula and push it a few steps further. But how far is too far? Let's find out!

*Disclosure: Aputure sent me this light for my honest review. Additionally, I am a member of Amazon, Camera Canada, Adorama and Pergear affiliate/associate programs, and anything that you purchase by clicking on/through my links could result in me getting a commission. That being said, I greatly appreciate you doing so, as it helps to fund this channel's operations, as well as feed my family. - Наука та технологія
Very nice .... although I'll stick with my regular MC lights for now. Great review though. Thanks.
You compared pro device, with consumer and prosumer devices, and came with unjustified value for money. This one has pro in the name not for marketing purposes like some apple products, it is really meant for gaffers, who will use it with lighting consoles via crmx or dmx to light real scenes in movies and series. This thing definitely not for average one-man-crew-amatures. You can spot this light in a scene in a few high-budget movies already, and I doubt you will see any of other devices you compared it with, in any movies. Other than this - great review. What did you use to measure light quality? Some sekonic?
I always compare devices across the spectrum. The fact is, a much cheaper light could perform the same task, just with a couple compromises (but not compromising on quality of light, interestingly enough).
Strictly speaking, this device doesn’t have any exact competition, but is in a niche all its own. Something I said and then edited out because I know others would complain that sounded like I’m pandering lol.
I’m using an HP320 spectrometer. It’s a Chinese model that’s cheaper than Sekonic. Slower to work with, but seems to be quite accurate. This channel doesn’t make anywhere near Sekonic money just yet 😏
@@WesPerrythe Rosco DMG Dash is probably it's closest competitor and shares most of the same feature set. But with better color scores. It's what Aputure were chasing with this release I believe. The CRMX version of the Dash is $399.
