Best wishes for 2023 👍with the filter comparison box v under gravel some water quality tests will definitely show a bigger picture I'm thinking the under gravel filter is possibly doing a better job of completing the nitrogen cycle
If you use that spot for work, you'd probably soon be quite annoyed by the desktop tank if you let it occupy that space. Just put som cherry shrimps in it and take it up as a feature in your kitchen! ;)
Season's greetings brotha and friend. Happy new year. Just love seeing fries in aquarium. Love seeing that aquarium with so many plants Awesome, you are doing a great Job
Could additional plant growth be due a weaker filter? I would suspect one might remove more nutrients, leaving less for the plants? Making the best filter, worse for plant growth,..... which makes the best filter, best for the person who is a little lacking in plant trimming? Must keep the culture area clear. You stated very clearly you "like" it clear to do that work. Keeping things pleasant and positive for yourself is key to you enjoying what you do, and we viewers find enjoyment in your positivity.
Hey Ray! I hear what your saying about the filters. I originally thought that there would be little difference in the tanks and was mostly focused on differences in maintenance. Maintenance seems to be the same (so far) and now there is this. Time will tell. Thanks for your thoughts on the cultures!
Happy New Year to you and the fam! When you started talking about the Lemon Geranium, the picture in my mind formed immediately. Bracket, pot with a cotton wick, done deal. However, could that cotton wick be attached to a cotton spawning mop, double duty? See you real soon!
Setups are looking great! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Thank you for taking the time to watch!

A liked familiar work area is best unless you need more room..
The constant fish room dilemma; finding room for everything
