As a both Android and Apple User I can safely say that S23 Ultra really surprised me. I had the iPhone 14 but I never stuck to it for long. It was a great phone, but unfortunately since it was only 128GB Model the software system froze completely because I need a lot of storage. I had planned to buy the 15 Pro Max, but I stuck to the S23 Ultra and told to myself, I have no intention of buying the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year, so let me wait for the 16 Pro Max which will come out next year. This happened to be my biggest and the best purchase so far. Yes of course the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a great phone, but I would rather stick to the S23 Ultra than the 15 Pro Max, not that I don't like iPhone, but because I'm mostly and Android user. But soon I'll get my new iPhone

Being a user of both devices for more then a year, i can confidently say that samsung changed the whole game with this device, I actually sold my 14 pro max to switch to this and I have absolutely no regrets, the camera, battery,Ui, performance , everything is top notch, Good Job Samsung
14 PM has better chip better battery better performance "in most games" purely because of iOS good optimisation for mobile games. The only thing i can give to samsung is their camera and display. And personally idgaf about camera aslong as it's decent. Also Ultra is just to big for my hand i cant hold it with one hand edges are sharp and the phone is sticking out of the pocket

@@reptyy4126the a16 is overrated its literally JUST the fact that Apple pays app developers that they get priority app optimization. The snapdragon 8 gen 2 can run laps around applle in extended use and long term play because Apple throttles like hell. It got so bad they had to stump the chip to give it stabilized performance.
@@reptyy4126 The 14PM, just like all iPhones, has horrible prolonged gaming performance, with screen dimming, FPS drops and other performance issues becoming evident much earlier than equivalent Android flagships.
@@reptyy4126 GPU on SD8 Gen 2 is faster. It also doesn't throttle nearly as easily, iPhones are notorious for overheating and crashing if you play heavy games for longer than 10 minutes (which if you are calling better performance or better experience is quite insane to me).
I've had a great experience with my S23 Ultra and captured some great night time photos that looked almost clear as day and been able to zoom in on the moon close enough to see some of the craters when I can actually hold the phone still enough
Just the fact that the s23U is a last gen phone and it still holds up to the new gen is incredible
I tought it mopped the floor with his actual competition:the 14pm but still beating the next gen,even by just a point(in arguably less or more important categoryes) is soo impressive. Can't wait for the 24 series to come and get its crown
Technically it's not a last gen phone until they release the 24. The 23 just happened to be released towards the beginning of 2023 where the iPhone was released 7 months later in 2023. It would be nice if they all would release round the same time- kind of like the Pixel and iPhone do.
It doesn't hold of crap compared to the 8 Gen 3 on the Iqoo 12 pro with a Dedicated Q1 gaming chip, way better cooling that Samsung bloatware trash.. Samsung is overpriced garbage.. Just like their Snapdragon 888 and Exynos chips they make, TSMC fired Samsung and will NEVER allow them to make another chip for them again... 🤣worst SOC EVER. Samsung OLED screens cause greenline issues, all Samsung products are overpriced trash. What are you ever talking about🤷🤣

Some guy mentioned the iqoo 12 and he's completly right:this is a new gen phone. Is easyer to look at procesor releases cuz the most important ones from the flagships are launched in fall like the dimensitys,sds,tensors and apple's a series. I'l keep the procesor as the main reper point cuz its easyer to understand:tho the s23 u is launched in the same year as the 15pm,its procesor is launched in the same gen as the one from the iphone 14pm. Same gen,different years. Is the same with screens,cameras,etc. Apple spends the whole year to bring the iphone in fall,samsung spends the whole year to bring the s series at the verry begining of next year. Have been using S23 Ultra for 10 months. It's almost perfect phone, only cons for me is camera lens can't be changed in 4K 60FPS while recording. Otherwise, a amzing phone. Oneui6 is ❤, flawless, fluid and awesome customizations.

@@davidnaromal4720 no smartphone can change framerate of the video after starting recording. however, what he meant to say was the s23 ultra cannot change its lenses in 4k 60 fps mode i.e., from wide to ultra wide to telephoto, after starting to record. The i phone 15 pro max is the only smartphone as far as I know, which can switch seamlessly between all its lenses while recording videos at 4k 60 fps.

You should have also mentioned about the separate work profile that we can use on s23 ultra. Whenever we use it the work organization has control on it which is separate from from the regular profile. Where as on iphone you cannot do that while using work apps once you login to an app like teams the work organization has access to your entire phone

It's funny how the iPhone's name drop feature is simply Android's NFC from 2014😂 I think it was called Android Bean. You could transfer information by touching phones. My main use case was to have my wife search up and address on Google maps and transfer it to my phone while I drove. Saved me a couple of times 😅.

Fantastic phone despite being released earlier this year. Still beats out the competition until the end of 2023. To think that in a few weeks its replacement S24 will be launching soon. Hopefully with not just an incremental improvement.

I go from galaxy and iPhone all the time but lately I’ve been sticking with iPhone. Never any lag or issues with the software and the battery lasts a long time. If you want something that works well and no bs I suggest the iPhone.

I've been a Samsung fan since S9. I just upgraded from S21 Ultra to S23 Ultra. I'm in love. I have an iPhone 13 as well. The biggest things I think Apple has over Android is uniformity in user experience and iMessage. However, Google and Samsung has made major strides in the arena of user experience, UI, and RCS messaging. I love Google messages and with Apple adopting RCS next I'll finally be able to share 8Kn videos with iPhone-using fam and friends

About the gestures on iPhone, I just wish I could set it to go back when swiping from the right side of the screen instead of reaching my thumb over to the left to swipe in. That and the keyboard not having symbols as a press and hold. Those are my only two complaints with IOS. I love the 15PM and look forward to see how it compares to next year. I agree the iPhone has the best video on a smartphone...especially since I have had my S23 Ultra stutter now and then randomly when the recording starts, and the exposure issue you mentioned too. (Although locking focus/exposure can help with that)
My thoughts exactly. Those two things are so major they keep driving me back to Samsung. Typing is something I do a lot of and the Gboard is so much better than the key cards on Apple. Then the back gesture is so much better and consistent.
Don't forget the keyboard on the iPhone, it is very annoying and you cannot type quickly and easily with numbers and emojis.
Props to those people who know that Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will go viral before 2024.

I could watch your videos all day. Would like the S23 Plus to have the same camera system as the ultra. Won't use the ultra due to the curved screen and the boxy design. Spen is ok but rarely used it on my Note 20+ or 22 Ultra

In all sincerity, as far as usability is concerned I believe that Android is a step forward, especially in two points, notification management and gestures to return to the previous screen. While on Android you can always use the same gesture to go back one screen on any application or system window, on iPhone this cannot be done, sometimes you have to use the gesture, sometimes you have to use the top button very uncomfortable. I think Android is much more consistent in this. It seems a little strange to me that the Pixel 8 Pro was not included in this comparison....Especially after the Feature Drop in December.

Because of versatility, I'd go for s23ultra. Excited to get the s24ultra soon. Me as a S21ultra and iphone 13pm user. S21 despite released ages ago still is a good phone and i always use it since i can multitask on it. Navigation on iphone just sucks, no clipboard and i hate its keyboard

One random thing that i miss from iOS is the pull-down gesture on the home screen that brings up search. The search bar is at the bottom of the screen and its just so much easier to not have to reach. The same with safari having the bar at the bottom
You can enable that if you have GoodLock. Just look for the One Hand Operation + module. Then look for “Finder Search.” I use it on Left Handle (Diagonal Down) but you can choose if you want left or right, and which swipe direction you want it to.
What I'd love to see is you doing a report on the fantastic Hasselblad cameras on the OnePlus Open vs these two. Plus an in depth review

I always like your videos. They move right along without bloviating. I have had both phones and agree that they are very close competitors. However, there are 2 things that I never see compared. First is the trade in value which really affects the price overall. Generally speaking, the iPhone will have a better trade value. It may not have changed the point in favor of Apple but nonetheless should be considered. Secondly, is what I would call integration. Apple products tend to play very well with other Apple products and quite often, Windows too. Samsung products and most other Android devices may have some integration but usually it’s more complicated and sometimes choppy. One simple example upgrading iPhone to iPhone is incredibly easy. Smart switch works but again it is not seamless. Another is using iMessage and many other apps on iPhone, iPads and Macs. Some may disagree with me but I find these subjects valuable and useful. I think they should be included in comparisons.
I like her videos too. "Professional zoom modes" = digital crop. Her previous camera comparison that was also mentioned and shown in this videos: S23U lenses are full of grease. Very professional stuff. :D
Here where I live, nobody does trade-ins. They just buy new phones. I have all my old phones in closet, none of them sold or traded. Heck, your old iPhones are worthless here. Same goes for all other phones. And nobody uses iMessage here, because there are better third party solution available that everybody uses.

Samsung Ultra does have the landscape clock feature. you have to turn on landscape and lock your screen and it will rotate and put on the clock and you can also customize the clock

I think if we look at the launches from a fiscal year point of view, 15 pro max is one gen ahead of s23 ultra. So to see the real competition we have to wait till January for the release of s24
I believe you are right 100% the 23 ultra is for the 14 Pro and Pro Max generation. The 24 ultra is for the 15 pro and Pro Max generation.
It is really opposite because it came out in the beginning of the year and Apple was behind Sammie.

I used to be a HUGE Samsung fan, but then my kids got me my first ever iphone the 12 mini and that was it i was hooked, since upgraded to a 14 pro, everything just works so seamlessly although not as custermisable as Samsung i found i hardly miss all those custermisations at all and you seriously do not need them on an iphone. Safe to say im a full Apple fan now, the eco system for me just works & for the 1st time ever i can do things with my kids that i could not on a Samsung phone whilst they all had iphones. There are pro's & cons for both and i do still use both through out my day, so best of both worlds 😊

I always switch back and forth between Iphone and Samsung but I currently gave up my 12pm for the Samsung S23 Ultra. Honestly.... iphone does have its perks and so does samsung but i think it depends on what the user needs. My friends use iphone but I found that I wasnt actually maximizing the whole experience with them. I.E facetime and sharing. My family is mostly android. But after finding different ways to use this phone I think this is the one ill be sticking with in the future. It just is so much more convenient for what i need it for.
I am also a tech junkie and swap between flagships several times a year (yes i have a tech addiction ahuddup 😂) and i found the s23u to be the best. Im using the ipgone 15 pro max right now and its going back today. IOS is so stale.
I heard so many youtubers say that the Samsung galaxy s23 ultra has a way better camera then the iPhone 15 pro max I think it's really how you look at them but overall they are both amazing cameras
most say the i phone is much better, especially with the default 24 mp and the video quality. the only place where the s23 is better is the zoom, but in video, even that falls apart. the s23 can even switch continuously between all the lenses while recording in 4k 60 fps mode, while the i phone can.

New sub here! I have/had both, I came from 13 pro max and had the s23 ultra for a few months but couldn’t deal with its turbulent nature, sometimes it’s great sometimes it sucks. The consistency of performance across the laggy UI, terrible bixby/google assistant optimisation, terrible shutter speed the general consistency of day to day use made me miss my iPhone, sold today and 15 pro max purchased. The lacking reliability and dependable camera was not worth the added customisation and general fun for me. Overall, they are the best phones, however, apple just ticks the boxes I deem more vital for me! Fantastic video breakdown! 😊
For the Timer on Samsung, little trick I learned accidently. If you press and hold the minute, it'll switch to 5 minute increments to move faster.

I feel like the momentum is definitely on the iPhone's side. It has a better ecosystem, user experience, app support, and doesn't have the non-ergonomic boxy design. Apple just focuses on things that really matter, and that's it. And I am an S23 Ultra user but will likely switch back to iPhone in the future.

I'm on a note 10 plus right now. Wanting to switch because it got no more security updates. I use my phone for work. Taking pictures, email, texting calling, android auto. Barely watching videos on it. I use my iPad or pc for entertainment. What do you suggest ? Long lasting battery is important and I usualy keep my phones for 5 years. Last time I had an iPhone was the iPhone 5

Had my screen replaced when I cracked it at work, and they also replaced the camera modules (0.5x and 10x) so I have had much better photos than before since it focuses correctly now instead of shaking the phone to focus. 😂 (I thought it was a software glitch but it wasn't, so it works much better now)
