how does sharing content work on the Tap IP , i've been looking around and found no demo or example of how it works. I just wanna walk in with either my mac or windows device, join my meeting and then have the option to screen share my mac or windows device. Without a cable of course because this tap IP doesn't have HDMI ingest.
The hdmi cable attaches to the ingest port on the Rally Bar /mini/Huddle or Roommate You can also still use Tap cat5 and use the hdmi that's attached there. It isn't strictly supported but should be soon.
Hi! I have a question about content sharing also, is it possible to share wirelessly without the hdmi cable? We want a clean look :) Let me know! Like Miracast Win + K?
Otherwise if you prefer standards based casting such as miracast and airplay you need a 3rd party solution from Barco or Mersive connected to the solution
@@helent6000 yes absolutely. The Swytch when connected to a Rally Bar or Bar Mini does two things. When the room is idle and you connect the Swytch cable, the bar flips to byod mode. You basically borrow the camera, Mic and speakers from the bar for your laptop. When you're in in a Teams meeting the Swytch cable is used for content ingest into the meeting.
I guess you are using XLR with pre-amp like Focusrite and OBS? So you need to fix this audio in OBS. Set the microphone audio to mono. Then you wil get your mic come thru to both channels.
Camtasia recording no longer records in stereo. Which I didn't know until one of these comments. In Subsequent videos I now mix to mono so at least you get both ears
so there is no HDMI/ USB-c passthrough on the Tap touch to connect a notebook to display its content on the screen, you have to use the Meeting room solution
@@UCStatus Hi Randy, thank you for this video - super helpful as always! We have just installed our TapIP with Rally Bar Mini. Is there a way to share content on laptop screen without having to join a Teams call on your laptop? I have a HDMI running directly from the Rally Bar, as you suggest above, but can't figure out how to get this content on the screen (when we click share content on the TapIP, it isn't registering the HDMI input). Thanks again!
That sounds like a problem. Assuming you have hdmi connected to the hdmi in port above the two hdmi out ports it should work. I have seen it fail. Maybe restart the bar and try again. If that doesn't work raise a case on prosupport.logi.com
My right ear is lonely. :(
yea I had my head phones over 1 ear only, :-)
I just want to have a Teams connected display to reserver a TV and a Logi Brio camera. Can I do this or is there an option for this?
Logi Dock Flex and display and peripherals of choice

In Teams you can cast to a nearby room ucstatus.com/2022/03/01/how-to-cast-to-a-microsoft-teams-room-on-the-teams-desktop-client/

@@UCStatus Would there by any good reason to use the Logitech Swytch with a Tap IP/Rally Bar setup?

It's camtasia actually. I have to mix to mono in post if I use camtasia to record.
left channel only audio nice.
I can´t hear nothing since I cut my right speaker off... but this explains why there is no audio

Not in the Tap IP. So you need to use hdmi from the Roommate
That bouncing ball in the background is so annoying!
Haha. Sorry about that
how to share content from other device like laptop?
Plug hdmi in directly to the Rally Bar or Roommate

casting within Teams is the best solution IMO
that bouncing ball at the back is distracting
Sorry. I won’t do that again
it is hard to concentrate on what you are saying with that bouncing ball behind you it is so distracting had to cover the video
