- Ashwini Bhide Deshpande was the headlining artiste of Day 2 of the FEA-curated Gayatri Festival celebrating women artistes in Hindustani Classical music.
She was accompanied by Vishwanath Shirodkar on tabla, Seema Shirodkar on harmonium, Swarangi Marathe and Shamika Bhide on tanpuras and supporting vocals.
Delightful ! This after the Rageshree ..... what a wonderful concert this must have been . And recorded with care - whoever is doing your concerts is certainly getting it right. Thank you for spreading the cheer !

interesting @ 9:11-9:13 - the master recognizes (and expresses concern) the mistake done by her ward ...with G P phrase ..not recommended in Bihagda :)

Then you can see the teaching being done afterwards. Ashwiniji indirectly shows the correct way to move to Pa without looking at her disciple. And there! It is corrected. Amazing how teaching happens on stage and how valuable it is!

From news article "Ashwini Bhide began her presentation with the iconic bandish of the gharana, “Ye Pyaree Pag Hole” in rag Bihagada. The deployment of Komal Nishad, she demonstrated, gave it a touch of Khamaj. However, the more austere practitioners - Kishori Amonkar and Mallikarjun Mansur - sang the Ek Nishad Bihagada, “Raina Bairana”. The duo followed it with a demonstration of Khokar, which is Bihagada with Khamaj ang. Ashwini and Malshe argued that the raga, as it expresses itself in the Jaipur tradition, is not a monolithic structure, but a spectrum which moves from ek nishad to do nishad to rag Khokar"

Hi, first thanks a lot for sharing Ashwinitai's concert, am a big big fan of her..loves her Gayki very much. My request is to organise such concerts for Delhi audiences also.. please.. I have listened to her live concerts many times here... its a different world altogether to listen to a live concert.. She is having a very good following here also..thank you.
nisha kamath Hi Nisha, thank you for your patience waiting for this video. Glad you like it. We would love to organise concerts in Delhi as well. We still need to figure out the logistics of holding an event in Delhi, in terms of permissions and licenses required since we are a Mumbai-based company. Besides we are unsure about the size of audiences we can draw to events of this nature and as a result whether it would be worth our while to organise events in your city. Some inputs in this regard from you would be useful and appreciated.

Right now we have no plans to organise events in Chennai. Currently we are concentrating in building an audience in Mumbai. If things go well we will spread our network to other cities.

@@shashwatpandey1988 we would love to travel and bring music to all these cities. Unfortunately right now with Covid raging, travel has become too risky. In fact right now we are not even hosting live concerts in Mumbai. But hopefully in the near future. What you can help us with is information whether there is a substantial audience in Raipur that would cover our expenses of hosting events there.
@@FirstEditionArtsChannel yes there are many people here who are very serious for classical music... And also in Bhilai but this place has hosted very less number of concerts for the music lovers... I just wish to hear some incredible artists like Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan Sahab, Arshad Ali Khan Sahab, Apoorva Gokhale ji, Kaushiki Chakraborty ji pt Kaivalya Kumar ji, Pt Ajoy Chakraborty ji and many more... But it just remains as a wish...

In jaipur gharana there are 4 types of bihagada raga
There exists SKILL in the presentation.... but not SOUL !!
Raga Bihagda brings tears in my eyes... but having listened such A presentation the tears of divinity have just vanished !!
