Seriously tho I ALWAYS get arm pump for the first 25-30 minutes of a ride if I haven’t ridden in a few days. Always. To the point I can’t hold on , work the clutch, nothing. And it’s miserable. BUT....after 25,35, 45 minutes somewhere in there it goes away and I’m fine. If I ride multiple days in a row the first day I’ll have bad pump. Then the following days after I’m good. I don’t get it. I haven’t been able to make that first, let’s say, hour of ark pump go away. And it’s dangerous riding single track/hard enduro. Especially here in East Tennessee in the mountains and rocks. Not being able to grip, work the clutch, or anything isn’t a pleasant experience.

Man, I totally know where your coming from! Doesn’t take much imagination to think about a 30min or 1hour prologue/qualifier for a race where your arms are smoked for 2/3 or all of it...... Get ready to start the Main from the Cheap Seats!

@@InsideEnduro exactly! It is no fun. When I race I HAVE to ride for at least 3 days In a row leading up to make sure I start fresh and loose. Which is cool, but sometimes it’s hard to make that happen.

Are you able to disclose an approximate costs for this procedure and were you able to use insurance?
I have struggled with arm pump for years and it only seems to get worse with age. Arm pump severely limits my riding ability long before my overall cardio/muscular fitness. Thanks for posting this video!

Hey there, cost depends mainly on how many units of Botox - which depends on how big (muscular) forearms are. It’s not particularly inexpensive, but I would imagine it is significantly less than surgery. Nice thing is, there really isn’t any pain, drugs, or rehab. Other than that I would contact Dr. McGinley’s clinic and get the word from the source. BTW I am all most 4 months out and digging it!!!

Me too, No Go Away though - Got diagnosed under MRI - CT Scan showed actual artery and veins completely shut down same as tourniquet. Doesn’t really hit too bad for recreational riding, probably because I ride a lot. But when the hammer drops for full-on unrelenting competitive enduro- hard enduro worst arm pump ever!!! 🔥✊🏼

@@InsideEnduro yeah dude after watching the whole thing I couldn’t imagine dealing with arm pump as bad as you did. I know I get super frustrated the 25-30 minutes or an hour that I get it. Like I get pissed. But fortunately mine goes away. And the more I ride the less I get it. Especially if I ride multiple days in a row. It’s dangerous. Especially in a rock garden or on a gnarly climb. Not being able to grip and work the controls is a scary feeling. Such an awesome and innovative procedure. Glad you could get that straightened out. I will have to share this with some buddies. I rode with a couple guys who get arm pump on the level you were getting it.

@@InsideEnduro anyway. Give that 2021 Sherco 300se factory away so I can win it. Like my Tpi bike but damn if I’m not curious.
