Soooo cute!!❤ My story, I wanted to do nails as like a side hustle in addition to my 9-5. Then, decided to research if I needed a license in North Carolina, what is and what isn't legal. So, I started a Nail tech program in 2023. It was from May to September. I currently have my permit and studying for the practical and next the theory. After that, I may find a shop or even a she shed I haven't decided on that yet because I haven't decided if I want to leave my 9-5 to be available to people 24/7. But, I'm sure I can think of something. So, I'll be going back for cosmetology so that I can be certified in the entire beauty industry, and then eventually some beautician real estate. Lately I've been so focused on work and my relationship that I almost forgot about nails but then I had to remind myself what I started almost 2 years ago and the dreams that I have to fulfill. I love nails because it's a HUGE HUGE part of my mental health, I love being creative and this has definitely allowed me to do that, and has also came with a peace I have never gotten with a 9-5. It's been a struggle getting everything I need for my tests and just to practice or to at least have because I focus on so much throughout the day. Great work, I went to beauty school in 1991 graduated in 1993 with a Cosmetology license. I worked for some of the greatest salons in NE Pa. I then went on to working with a great salon owner for ten years. She did specifically manicures and I did specifically acrylics so it worked out really well.
@@Jammylita Stick with it even on the days when your hired as a new nail tech it seems that the clients or other (not all) but some nail techs will push your buttons and say “ oh you missed a spot here! Or one hand doesn’t match the other hand in length, compare the length of each nail to the other in length and width. Make sure they are as even as you can get them. Not even natural nails are perfect. Be sure to sanitize, prep the natural nails and get a Dremel tool to make filing easier for you. Use a primer. Drill the cuticles off so they don’t cause lifting. The number one cause of lifting with nails is a poorly prepped nail before you add product. Once you feel confident then work on your speed. Try not to talk too much. Try to do a fill in a half hour and a full set in under an hour. Make sure the receptionist knows how you book your appointments. Make sure clients are reminded of their appointments the night before call or text them. If they DNS do not show you have to charge them unless it’s a very good reason and doesn’t normally happen. Most important rebook them before they get their nails polished. Create a nice atmosphere in your salon. Great smelling air diffusers , candles for each season. And every now and then give back something to them . Free nail art for never missing an appointment. Free nail files to pamper at home. Create your own style! That’s what they come back for is you. Good luck!

😅 well hello! First off nice to meet you! I love your personality!🥰😁. My name is anette but I like to go by Anita . About 2 months ago I dropped out of college to start doing nails. I’ve done nails in the past but I pushed the thought out of my mind of making it a career because I thought becoming a surgeon was the dream I wanted. My dad knew from the jump that I would be majoring in cosmetology and even told me that he would pay for my schooling to go to cosmo school. I told him “no” because I thought I could finish a career as a surgeon 🥲. I feel like the hardest part for me right now is building my clientele since I’m just beginning. I am currently working on my UA-cam channel as well. My channel is based of makeup only but I may include nails here and there. I never realized the passion I had with the beauty world. If I’m being honest I’m so happy I dropped out of college because at the end I know i will be a good nail tech🥰.
Hey Jammy! Gorgeous set and a perfect match for her dress and shoes. I’m a Human Resources Director with my own consultancy. Wow Diana! I love your story. You know, a fact I haven’t shared is when I attended college, at one point my major was in Human Resources. 😊 So cool. I’m so impressed with you and you do nails! I started doing my own nails in 2002 after getting them done for years. This was pre internet tutorials 😂😂 I was terrible and it took me 6 hours to do my friends acrylic nails and they were terrible lol. Over the years I just continued to do my own and my friends. I do gel, premade press on nails, Mani/pedis, you name it, I do it lol. It's taken me YEARS and I'm still pretty basic withe everything. I'm not artistic, so I can't do amazing detailed decor, but I love it so much and I've learned so much. I also live in Alaska where there isn't a market yet for press ons and I do gel cheaper lol. It costs about 100 dollars to get a basic Mani/Pedi where I live.
So relatable Susie! That’s how I learned too. Pre tutorials ☺️ It’s always a learning process. Wow you can do a lot. You can start a trend there for sure. Yeah the prices have gone up and the industry has evolved soo much! Keep going and learning your craft. I’m with you on that. Thank you for sharing your story and for being here 💕💕
Hiii my name is Briana and I am watching to learn to do my own nails and then eventually hopefully also close friends and family and then hopefully turn it into a business ❤. I am watching this at 2:29 am 😂 as I’m going to be attempting my nails in the morning (later today ). I’m nervous 😬. I tried doing my own nails yearssss ago with the acrylic kits from Walmart and it was a disaster 😂. So I am hoping after watching many nail videos and tutorials and being older (I am 28 going on 29 June 22nd ) that I’ll be able to successfully do my nails at least somewhat decent. I am in school for my doctorates in radiology and I am a mama and beauty influencer! ❤❤ thank you for taking time to teach us ❤.
I started learning to do nails in 2011 when I got married and moved from Florida to wyoming where there was nowhere to get my nails done for a reasonable price. I started off with gel polish now I’m moving slowly into acrylics
😍 Thank you so much Jammylita's your videos have helped me so much especially with applying the acrylic using your formula. That made doing nails so much easier.
I started right when I found out I was pregnant! 😮 I would like to go to school but I’m a full time working mom now so I can’t. It’s hard to even practice cause my baby is so busy! But I would love to further my talent! I’m glad I found your page! Loving it already!!
I totally get it girl! You gotta do what you gotta do. In due time. What’s nice is that what you learn, you’ll always have with you 🙌🏼❤️ Welcome and thank you ❤️
I've been trying to learn how to do nails since I was around 9 I've always loved the idea but right now I'm just finally getting serious about it and this video helped so much
Love watching every video you post! Hope all is well with you 😊 I’m so excited for tomorrow, I finally graduate Beauty College tomorrow and I’m beyond excited!! I’m so grateful for the life God has blessed me with. Today we celebrated my husbands birthday as well as our 6 yr anniversary (yes we got married on his bday) ☺️ it’s been an amazing month! I thank God that he gave me the strength to pull through it. Raising kids and going to school full time and everything else that comes with it wasn’t easy but it’s totally worth it! I’ve actually learned a whole lot about nails 🙂 I need to get me some of those tips!
Audrey that’s amazing! I completely relate to the going to school and raising kids situation. Congratulations, Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday!! So much to celebrate. I’m so happy for you and wish you all the best. I know it’s not easy and you all deserve to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Sending love and blessings your way! Thank you for your love and support through your journey 💐💝💕💕
I dont have much of a nail story. I did practice on family with gen nails and i loved it, but i am a nurse and cannot have long nails. I have always loved long nails sense i was little. Now all i get to do is enjoy these videos.

What is a good practice nail kit to get for beginners? Also any tips for a beginner that's never even tried to do nails before besides painting with polish?
Hello I love getting my manicures and French tips or a full set on special occasions. I usually get them done professionally , I also have my own set of tips and I use to do them every 3 or 4 months or whenever I am in them mood.
I'm 22, I've had nails twice in my life before this month, one at each prom. My roomates pulled me along to a salon with them recently, and I didn't think I'd like it because I don't like longer nails. Once my nails get to a certain length I get itchy an cut them lol. But I really liked them and I think they're really cool, so I'm looking at the process and the supplies I'd dneed to possibly do it at home if I keep liking them
I just recently became interested in doing nails. My own nails particularly but others if I become good at it. I have thought about taking classes but all I keep seeing is cosmetology schools tht focus on many things along with nails, things I’m really not interested in. CMe across your video and find it so helpful and am looking forward to getting to know your channel more. Thank you !
Went cosmo school been specializing in esthetician field for 15yrs but since covid i took up back on the nails and went back to do an advance course lastyear. I had been struggling with the acyrlic application but since i tried your method because numbers work for me i have a smoother application now hence less filing
Ok question 😂first great video thank you !!!!! 1.I have not brought anything yet it looks like you applied three different acrylics do I need to buy three different acrylics to do nails or the last two was just an option you wanted to do only? 2. Do I always have to capsule every time I do nails OR is that for certain designs

i recently had a bad experience at a nail salon and wanna gwt back into doing nails, (i am alr a hair dresser) i used to do nails alot but stopped bcs it took too long, def gonna do it more though
I needed a video to show me a good way to apply the bead and this was good I tried on my own a million times before just going with the flow READING ONLINE but the “ press lightly did it for me” and the way you dipped the brush in liquid was helpful Technique also visual was great (it hard to remember how the nail tech applied the acrylic from a set I did like two years ago) lol
Hi Jammy! Gorgeous set, and she looks absolutely stunning in her outfit! 😍 I currently work a very unfulfilling job in IT and picked up doing nails because I was bored in lockdown 2020. I fell in love with it and decided to go get my nail license, now I'm working towards making it my full time job but the going is so tough. You and your videos are so encouraging, and it helps keep me going on those days I really want to throw in the towel. Thank you, for all that you do! 💕💕

Great work, I went to beauty school in 1991 graduated in 1993 with a Cosmetology license. I worked for some of the greatest salons in NE Pa. I then went on to working with a great salon owner for ten years. She did specifically manicures and I did specifically acrylics so it worked out really well.
Thank you! That’s amazing! 🫶✨
Good luck!
Started nail school at 60 I have a shop at my home. I also do longarm quilting out of that same shop.
What's longarm quilting
I love the nails. So gorgeous. Perfect match with ladies outfit. Definitely inspired to be a tech too 😊
Am new in the art but this channel is embracing me, very much excited
You have the nicest voice… lovely video, I’m medically retired so actually have time now to grow my own nails. I love watching nail Vlogs, watching from the U.K. Really enjoyed this, end result was amazing! Thank you. 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! ❤️ I’m happy you’re here. I also hope you enjoy retirement 💝
This video really gave me the inspiration I need to start doing nails. I’ve been trying to find something that I’d love to do and I think this is it. I definitely subscribed and will be watching other videos. I’m sitting here now with my pen and paper taking notes. I love your work. Thanks for the inspiration! 👍🏾👍🏾
Aww thanks love! You got this, it will be challenging at first but you can do this. If you love it, you’ll see in the end it’ll be worth it ❤️

Good job anita
Just bought a kit on Amazon ! I’m so excited to do this as a hobby and hopefully career
Hey Jammy! Gorgeous set and a perfect match for her dress and shoes.
I’m a Human Resources Director with my own consultancy. I’m pretty much semi retired now and started doing my own nails during the first lockdown and where I first discovered your channel. You have definitely been a huge influence and help during my journey and have been very kind about my efforts on Instagram. ❤️❤️
Wow Diana! I love your story. You know, a fact I haven’t shared is when I attended college, at one point my major was in Human Resources. 😊 So cool. I’m so impressed with you and you do nails! I love it. Your nails are gorgeous by the way ❤️ You’ve learned a lot in so little time. I’m so grateful that you’re here. Your support has meant more than you know. Thank you! ❤️

Thank you so much ❤️
That's so good. I don't do nails myself but I love watching videos.
Glad you like them! ❤️
The nail tech nails are on fire🔥🔥🔥🌺❤️
She ateeeee omg so pretty 😍
Thank you for sharing your story and for being here 💕💕
Wow beautiful set of nails and how they match the outfit so well always learning thanks for sharing💅💃🏾👠😊
That means a lot! I’m happy it helps you. Thank you ❤️
I started right when I found out I was pregnant! 😮 I would like to go to school but I’m a full time working mom now so I can’t. It’s hard to even practice cause my baby is so busy! But I would love to further my talent! I’m glad I found your page! Loving it already!!
I totally get it girl! You gotta do what you gotta do. In due time. What’s nice is that what you learn, you’ll always have with you 🙌🏼❤️ Welcome and thank you ❤️
Woow the aplication was soo smooth 😮 love it!
I am right now 13 and I really really wanna be a nail tech it’s been my Dream for ages and your videos are really helping me thank you ! ❤
I've been trying to learn how to do nails since I was around 9 I've always loved the idea but right now I'm just finally getting serious about it and this video helped so much
Am inlove and i also enjoy watching this was relaxing ❤
Love watching every video you post! Hope all is well with you 😊
I’m so excited for tomorrow, I finally graduate Beauty College tomorrow and I’m beyond excited!!
Thank you for your love and support through your journey 💐💝💕💕

wow this video has a good angle and is actually showing me !!!! i’m so excited thanks so much !
Gorgeous set love the glitter ✨️. They did match her shoes and dress. Awesome love you channel. I'm learning a lot and thank you for sharing 🥰🥰🤗🤗
Thank you hun 🥰💕
Thank you !
Heyy! Welcome ❤️ That’s a great way to learn! Doing your own nails.
Her nails turned out beautiful and what a match to her shoes what a great job you did and i love your videos and inspiration to keep practicing thank you
Right now I'm planning to go to nail school and get the experience of doing nails and I also want to start practicing to them right now
Hi Jammy 👋🏼 I use to be a phlebotomist, but quickly noticed the medical field wasn’t for me. I went to nail school and started working at a beauty medical spa. I found your channel recently and I watch your videos religiously. You do GORGEOUS nails 💅🏼 xo
Hi Daniela, thank you for sharing! That takes courage. I love that you knew what was best for you and went for it. I’m happy for you and wish you lots of success in the medical spa ❤️
I watched this video while I was in labor! 💙
Aww this is a first for me! Thank you ❤️ Congratulations on baby! I hope all is well 🙏🏼💕
@@Jammylita thank you!! Love ur sets always 😍
Thank you for explaining the liquid and powder process
Amazing
When you yeeted her nail back at 19:00 lol. You said, “Nope, sit!”
The fact you only do two beads and your nails come out flawless👑👑👑👑👑✨✨✨✨
Nice video. We have lots of teen foster girls so I am learning nails so I can do something special for them.
Thank you! That’s awesome! 🩷
i recently had a bad experience at a nail salon and wanna gwt back into doing nails, (i am alr a hair dresser) i used to do nails alot but stopped bcs it took too long, def gonna do it more though
Thank you for this videos. Very informative and you take your time explaining every step. 👍
Hello 👋 Thank you for this video 🙏💅🫶
May I please ask where you got this dappen dish for your monomer please?
Hello my first time watching 💅🏾 hopefully I can learn to do my own and stop giving these salon's all my money. I appreciate your tutorial
Gorgeous looks beautiful 😍
Hi Mable! Thank you.❤️ I love that you’re working towards doing what you love. I know it can be tough. Trust me. Keep working towards the goal, it’ll always be worth it if it makes you happy. I’m grateful that I can help in some way and that you’re here 💝
Gracias chula! Me alegro mucho que te sientas así. Gracias por estar aquí. Espero que te pueda ayudar. Saludos 💜🙋🏻♀️
