- First listening to Music by Nightwish from their new album
HUMAN. :II: NATURE.
Song used in this clip: • NIGHTWISH - Music (Off...
#Nightwish #Reaction #Music
Her vocals are "Floorless"
No Nightwish must never again be Floorless....!
Floorful?
May the vocals "floorish"? man, it's hard to find a good one in your second language ^^"
Firstly, I'd like to second every request to listen to the entire album, preferably in order.
Secondly, the lyrical content here (and in the rest of the album) is incredibly deep, as well. The song is about the history of music as a manifestation of the Sacred, including prehistory.
We see this in the very first words: "Before you my home was in the wind and surf"; meaning "music (ie. the Sacred) existed before humanity. It existed in the sound of the howling winds, and of waves crashing against the shore"
We also see the duality of music as both entertainment and sacred in the line "There I will greet the greedy crowds, but will never, never ever sing to them", meaning that the Sacred aspect of music is always present, in every concert, but that only the audience members who are listening for it will hear it: not the "greedy" ones, who care only for the entertainment value; the Sacred part of music cannot sing for them.
But perhaps my favorite line in the song is "All it took was time and silence", which in a close reading is read as "all it took [for music to emerge] was time and silence". Given enough time and the absence of Music, Music *will* appear; given enough time without a spiritual center, and given the "silence" of introspection necessary for it, the Sacred *will* appear in the heart of every man, woman and child. All it takes is time and silence.
Silence is amazing in Music, and they utilised it brilliantly here!
My dear reactor, I think you just had the first silencegasm I have ever seen. Bravo!
I love the look on a reactor's face when they not only love Nightwish, but UNDERSTAND them. 🤘
After being a fan since around 2004ish and waiting 5 years for new music, this song had me bawling, like I literally had to take a 5 minute break before continuing on with the new album, then I got hit with Shoemaker and had to take another one. 😂😂
This song so perfectly sums up how 'Music' makes me feel and what it is about... I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your NW reactions and I cannot wait to see more.
I don't know about you, but I also got hit pretty deeply yet again with "Procession". Though, to be fully honest, each and every track packs a punch.
Music is by far my favorite song on the new album. There's just so much stuff you understand and relate to immediately and something you catch after 20 times listening.
was it worth the wait? :D I think it is a sign of the quality of the album that we all have different favourites! Shoemaker doesn't make my top 4! Not because it is bad I think it is a great song, it's just there are 4 other songs that resonate more with me being the bookends, pan and harvest. I have enjoyed your reactions as well Tauri ;)
@@mnewm21 Shoemaker DOESN'T make your top 4???
In the words of Wallace Shawn in The Princess Bride: "Inconceivable!" 🤦
@@mnewm21 Which is totally fine, we all have different likes and dislikes... a lot of people seem to resonate with 'How's the Heart' as well and while it's a beautiful song, I feel 'Our Decades in the Sun' from their last album was stronger.
On the album this runs almost seamlessly into "Noise". It's a natural next step yet a huge contrast at the same time.
Exactly!
"Thank you Covid"
Oddly enough, I think it has actually HELPED Nightwish and Floor in particular. Having to spend more time at home, I stumbled onto Ghost Love Score a couple months ago. And the rabbit hole opened up below my feet. I think there are many recent additions to the Nightwish Army due to it!
Better late than never, my friend. There's a lot of really good Nightwish music for you to enjoy, and most of it gets better the more you listen to it. Plus, all in all, ye olde Nightwish Army is pretty nice.
Completely the same for me. Had never heard of them till a couple of months ago and now I have gone through their entire discography with all 3 lead singers. Floor is just insanely good! What a journey!
Floor has signed up a few more recruits to our army! Tuomas may be our leader and chief strategist but Floor is definitely our head of recruitment :D
I think the lyric video strategy was genius - it stopped the pirates, and helped us learn the songs quicker than previous albums.
Yep. Same here.
Once Emmpu's solo starts its just chills and tears to the end.
How anyone can create something this beautiful is beyond my understanding.
I fully believe that Floor has opened an incredibly wide pallet of colors, unavailable before, with which Tuomas can paint nothing but masterpieces. He has grown as a composer and is now "painting" soundscapes that touch and heal the soul. Difficult to understand how a group of geniuses continue to get better and better when you thought they had reached the pinnacle of achievement, but they are a collection of geniuses, so it's just an indication of my inability to conceive and not theirs. Keep going ... I'll be along for the ride.
"Them!" ❤️🎶
I really envy the gift of how music touches your soul and body and makes you feel every part of it. It's so awesome and in that way, it also makes my soul smile. :)
What I find really interesting is that the whole song is seen from the perspective of the music. That music has always been here and has finally become a part of us. Brave to compose such a song. But wonderful.
The instrument you see at the beginning and in the middle is a lyre, one of the first man-made instruments, if not the first instrument. And the small pot next to it is the first song recorded by humans. This is how researchers found it. It was even possible to translate and play the song.
A great song directly as an opener. and so much more on the rest of the album. it just gets better.
Great analysis. Keep up the good work :D
Honestly you're one of my favourite reactors :) great analysis and I love how enthusiastic you are about music! It makes me smile. Keep up the great work
Thank you! 😊
This album is a true masterpiece from start to finish. Do it all!
Long story short, this is the song about the HISTORY OF MUSIC ... It started with drums, then there was the HUM, and it kept on evolving .... Floor also mentions the songs Pan and Noise of this album
I really hope you'll be able to react to every song of the album, there's so much amazing in this one!
Yes, Yes, YEEES! The album itself is a story as a whole. Next one: "Noise".
I'd like to vote for this, too. It's such an amazing album, I really struggle to think of an album that I loved as much. Last was probably Lateralus by Tool and that was, what, 20 years ago?
This, from my perspective is actually music as an entity singing to the human that it found to be able to express itself. As a concept this displays Toumas's genius far better than just singing from the human perspective about music and I truly feel he believes music has a life and will of its own and he just provides the channel for it to manifest.
That's basically what Tuomas said was the original concept.
@@Green-Lyon Well bugger me I got it right for once. :)
@@Raven-fh2yy Yes indeed! :D 👍
These highly disjoint/compound vocal melodies appear all over this album. They're insane and beautiful. Can't wait for Shoemaker 😉
As a huge Nightwish fan, I disliked that song. But it's grown on me significantly, it's pretty great!
You should do each track on this album, theyre all amazing and unique and no less surprising than each other track. I know Id certainly watch each song. Awesome reactions dude, subbed!
This album is brilliant beginning to end with incredible variety. Strongly suggest you hit all the songs - would be awesome to hear your thoughts. Great reaction!
To your point on being used to Floor live - there is one song for which a live version already exists - How’s the Heart. An acoustic version Floor and Troy performed for Planet Rock. Not only will it melt your brain - Floor is absolutely incredible - but it confirms your guess that she can sing these very complex melodies live. Not just sing them, but deliver them with both power and emotion. Absolutely stunning.
Thank you!! I'm super excited to hear this :)
@@TheMuserResolute here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/v-deo.html
Enjoy 'MUSIC' in it's purest way performed by the godess Floor with Troy on the guitar. Song is 'How's the heart'.
this song is absolute perfection. gives me shivers and into tears everytime I listen to it, which is every single day.
One thing I've been thinking about with this song that I have not seen/heard anyone mention or comment about is exactly how appropriate this is as an opener, as the lyrics and parts of the melody seem to give away clues on the other songs on the album in small bits and pieces. A small matter of interpretation for some parts but yeah... :) It would just again show what a genius Toumas is.
Thank you! I'm gonna listen to this many times over in preparation to the other songs on the album 😀
@@TheMuserResolute The perfect Overture. How Holopainen isn't regarded by the classical world as a great modern composer is beyond comprehension.
the most interesting thing about this song is that its from the point of view of music as if it was a sentient being listen to it with that in mind and its like you have never heard it before
Music written from the perspective of music as an entity starts with the sounds he imagines before humans and moves on to the first human music, drums. Then onto the first know stringed instrument, the Lyre. The first song refers to the first know written song the Hurrian hymn discovered in 1950 on a 3400 year old clay tablet. You can hear the Hurrian hymn here -
www.classicfm.com/music-news/videos/oldest-song-melody/#:~:text=The%20Hurrian%20Hymn%20was%20discovered,goddess%20of%20the%20orchards%20Nikkal.
And the clay tablet is in the video at the 4:50 mark, sitting in front of a lyre, the earliest recorded stringed instrument (2500-3000 BC).
Great reactions 🤟
I'm really enjoying your reactions. I subscribed to your channel❤️
Wacken open air 2013 Nightwish Last ride of the day
or same concert Nightwish Romanticide
"Anything can happen in the studio version" yep but we aaaaalllll know this is going to do be even better live XD (can't wait to have the live version of the album !)
They are on the books for London in December 🤘
i'm so curious how shoemaker and tribal will be live :)
how's the heart live version was also amazing, but in the real metal version live..... i can't wait!!!!!!!!!
@@thensho They did The Greatest Show On Earth live, so anything is possible. This IS Nightwish we're talking about... 😉
In my opinion every song every song on this album deserves a reaction for one reason or another. My favorite is Tribal.
Love your reactions to Nighwish, you get it
the start melody if you like is the background noise of space translated into musical instruments! I always smile when I hear the resolve of the first big chorus after the build up to it. This song is all about the joy of music and that is feeling it leaves me with after listening to it. The opening and closing tracks of this cd is perfection. I'd vote for you to do the album in order I think they are all worth a reaction!
You should check out the live version of Seven Days To The Wolves by Nightwish. Seriously underrated and catchy. Maybe not as deep at their other songs, it's meaning intensely "carpe diem", to live life to the fullest. I think there's lyrics in the captions if you turn them on. :)
Thanks!! Will check it out! I’m loving nightwish 😀
A lot of old fans have had difficulties liking the album. I think it just is not easy to understand, especially the first time. But good lord is it beautiful.
Thanks for the reaction, I'd really love to see your reactions to all the songs if possible, tho'. It's really worth it
Greetings from Australia, love your Jinjer and Nightwish reactions, check out what we got cooking down under "Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live in Colorado 2016". Cant wait to see your reaction to this one
i love your facual reactions
This song hits right in the guts every single time (and the whole album too).
Pretty sure I'd give my left *** to see them open a concert with Music, with a live symphony and choir. This is such an amazing piece.
Nightwish is one of those rare bands that sounds even better live than in studio. Someday when the world gets back to normal, I can't wait to see them perform this song live! The building and layering of music throughout mirrors the lyrics. Which you didn't touch on much, but they're kind of like a history of music and humanity's relationship to it. It brings us from the music of the cosmos in the distant past (the floating harp in space) then the "cave bear bone" and the first humming, all the way through to the modern era... which brings us to Noise. I think we'd all love it if you reacted to each of the songs in order! Human :||: Nature really is a concept album and there are themes running all the way through that tie every song together, and even tie the whole album as a continuation of Endless Forms Most Beautiful. EFMB introduced the history of the universe and mankind seeking to find our place in it; HN continues that thought and explores the contrast between man and nature and what makes us human. Musically it's a little different from some of their past albums. You can tell that Tuomas really writes toward the strengths of his vocalists, and this album is unquestionably written for Floor. But it also branches out and employs the strengths of other band members, especially Troy and his range of instruments - he's also a great vocalist in his own right. If I'm being honest, I wasn't sure about HN the first time I listened to it. It was different from what I was expecting. But as I've listened to it over and over, absorbing the lyrics and doing some background research on the song meanings, it has really grown on me and is now right up there as one of my favourite Nightwish albums. I know you will enjoy it!
Thank YOU for your amazing and interesting reactions. (Even my Mum who barely speaks English well enough watches your Nightwish reactions because you're doing such a great job!!)
You should definitely do reaction videos for the entire album, in order! :)
Please also do BOTH CDs not just the first one. You have so much appreciation for Tuomas' compositions I'm sure you'd ADORE the entire "All The Works Of Nature Which Adorn The World". It's about 30 minutes, split into shorter songs but it's a whole piece (mostly orchestral)!! I'd love to hear your thoughts on that from you as an expert and I'm sure many will agree!
One of the things that impress me the most about 'Music', despite the obvious fact the composition is otherworldly brilliant, is its many layers. I've listened to it countless times since it got released and STILL discover new musical details with every listen.
Should I be honest? Well, I'm German and we are obsessed with honesty, so that's no problem (at least for me)... getting hooked with the first released track "Noise" I was very curious about the new album. Five years since "Endless forms most beautiful" April 10th (official release date for HUMAN.:II:Nature.) eagerly awaited I bought the album, sat down and listened. Ok - that was not what I'm expected - but: after hearing it several times I got used to it - and now, in my personal opinion, this album as a whole is a masterpiece...
yeah, i had the same expirience with it.
i wasn't dissapointed the first time but i was expecting more of it. then after a couple more times the level of the songs just hit you right trough your heart ❤
Same mate, big same.
The lyric video adds so much to the beginning of this track. The campfires lighting up to the call of drums between tribes. Not just a single night of entertainment, but telling the story of how we started to use music. You're really going to enjoy this album I think. The songs just join together so well to make something greater than its parts.
Yess! So glad you're starting at the beginning of the album. Shoemaker is top 3 of my favorite songs from this album so I can't wait for you to listen and share your reactionalysis! I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but this album is a sort of continuation of "The Greatest Show on Earth" and has been described as an album heavily focused on the vocals. Definitely keep an ear out for both Marko and Troy's contributions.
Shoemaker might warrant some research on Eugene Shoemaker, as the song's about him. Can't wait for the next installment! Love the content as always!
Thankyou! Yup will definitely do my research before Shoemaker 😊
Always love your reactions and the excitement on your face when something great happens :)
Nimwey grüße in die Niederlande!
I hope, you are ok.

Ty, I have never listened to one song by this group. Stamp of approval. Awesome sound and visuals!! Very mystical and brilliant!
Thanks for checking them out! They've got some incredible epic long pieces of Music. My first reaction/analysis to theirs was Ghost Love Score. I seriously can't get the experience of that out of my head!
@@TheMuserResolute Thank you, I will check it out. 😊😎
I can't wait you react Tribal, it's so different, but you're gonna love it. Thank's this nice reaction and analyse.
Love the reaction as always! Very insightful and I love hearing your commentary.
I do have a recommendation from this album. How's The Heart is absolutely lovely. The studio version is fantastic, plus there is a live acoustic version available I think you'll enjoy as well.
I'm looking forward to your next video!
I think I love the studio version a little more than the acoustic live version. Many disagree with me. Both versions are great anyway.
Hi from Helsinki Finland! Take care!
@@Idefixu I agree with you! The studio version feels more powerful and I absolutely prefer it, but I think the Acoustic has a lovely "campfire" feeling and Floor sounds fantastic live as always. Greetings from Raleigh, USA! You take care as well 😊
Oh my lord....
Look whos back with another nightwish reaction ❤️
You may appreciate Guylain Prince's analysis of the songs of this album. He talks in depth about the lyrics and their meaning, as well as the ties from song to song within the album. I found his analysis and the discussion in the comments pretty fascinating, and brought new insight to this amazing collection of songs.
Love their new cd!! Floor amazing as always! Can't wait to hear them live again!!
Thank you the best reaction. Kiitos FI.
The whole album is a gem, but I’m particularly fond of Shoemaker” (like thousands of fans I know) so I can’t wait to see your reaction. I truly think you’ll be blown away! And meanwhile... may I suggest Ne Obliviscaris?? I would love to see you react to “Forget not”
I'd love to see his thoughts on Ne Obliviscaris as well. Great song choice, it would also be cool to see them do a live song as it amazes me that they can pull it off live: And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope live in Colorado 2016 is probably the obvious choice.
Awesome reaction! Thank you. =)
Yes, more nightwish, you made my day!! Your reactions are great, I am really really hoping you will do the whole album together with us 🤗
Thank you 😊 that’s definitely the plan!
Please react to the whole album it is fantastic thankyou for doing this reaction it was great
I think what really made me love the album more is the visuals to each song of the first album alongside the music. The references in each one are on point.
If you're going to be reaction to the new album "How's the Heart" is a must. The studio version is great but Troy & Floor did an acoustic version on Planet Rock that is next level.
I agree, i'd love to hear you react to the whole album in order :)
You have so much depth in your analysis, they are so great to hear! Please, do the whole album in order, from first song to last.
High hopes, Marco singing is just insane
May I recommend to you the awesomeness that is Blind Guardian? Their latest album, Twilight Orchestra, is a completely orchestrated masterpiece. There's not a single electric guitar on this one, which is a bit strange for an epic power metal band. Yet at the same time, this album is one of **the most metal** things I've ever heard.
Is it Christmas? Two videos in one day, thank you for keeping me entertained lol. Just as always, great work bud!
I just love how you wear your expressions so well. You can see when you get; excited, happy, frustrated... whatever you're feeling, we can see it!
Thank you :) Yeh I thought i'd do two back to back
Thank you, sir! Your remarks and just appreciation of the music make for the most enjoyable reaction-type videos. I'll happily watch reactions to all the tracks from the new NW album, but most of all I hope you'll do a video for the last track, All the works of nature. It is quite underappreciated, but it is simply amazing.
I love your smile during the reactions. It shows that you love music and that you listen to it not just with your ears but also with your heart. I like that a lot. Also I hope you will react to the whole album, because it is great. At least I`m looking forward to your reactions for shoemaker and Noise. I hope you do noise, too. Nightwish is a wonderful band and this album is a masterpiece.
So many songs on the new album I would be excited for to see (and in your case, feel) you react to! Shoemaker is going to be amazing, but lets not forget Pan, Tribal, Harvest and all the others!
This is one of my favorites from.the new album , Tuomas himself said that he heard the best ever singing from Floor on this song !
In the clip you see just before the singing part begins the oldest Lyre( not a harp ) floating trough the screen , a bit later you see a drawing picture showing te Lyre again accompanyd by an inscripted faas , know'n as the oldest musicinstrument that has been found ever around. , it is all so facsanating and well thought over 👌.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE React to the entire album for us. Your reactions are so incredibly entertaining, insightful and fun!
This album is a MASTERPICE .
Please do the whole album track by track if you can ! Because every single one of these songs is a gem, track 10 included !
AAAAHHHH!!! So excited!!! Now to actually watch the video...

nice reaction~ i always enjoy your comments, it would be awesome to see you do the whole album here, at least the vocal side- since the 2nd side is just music- ~but 2nd side is just as good just in a dif way
Floor "Yansen". Yaaansen. Yaaaaaansen!! You know, Dutch consonants and all that ;)

Thank you!! 😁 I'll remember the pronunciation for next time 😊
Stopping just before she sings "them" should be forbidden 😂
I know right😄 it is some magical moment in the song. So much vibes
Great reaction to a great song. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
Skipping a reaction song from the first CD would be a grave mistake; for us and for yourself. We really appreciate your reactions.
This song took a couple of listenings before I understood the composition. But since then it has really grown on me and I love it. The beginning is kind like early humans discovering music. It obviously started with percussion, the they discovered the wind instrument (Cave bear bone) as a type of flute. The visual at the beginning is camp fires illuminating one by one as the word goes around about the new discovery. Then at the beginning you see a visual of one of the earliest instruments. A string instrument called a lyre. Tuomas has said that he was inspired by the oldest piece of transcribed music ever discover. It is called " "Hurrian Hymn no. 6". This is widely considered the oldest know musical composition, excavated by French archeologists in the ancient city of Ugarit, a few miles North of Latakia in Syria. It was written on clay tablets in cuneiform in the Hurrian language and is dated to around 1400 BC. It is a hymn to the goddess Nikkal, the wife of the moon god. I have listened to a couple of interpretations of what this should sound like and am not sure if it influenced the vocal lines on the verses? Maybe you can see what you think?

That was enjoyable to watch. Great Job. We are here if you want to go through the whole album. We won't mind one bit.
This is the order of the album
1. «Music»
2. «Noise»
3. «Shoemaker»
4. «Harvest»
5. «Pan»
6. «How's the Heart?»
7. «Procession»
8. «Tribal»
9. «Endlessness»
Brilliant analysis!! I would love to have your analysis of the whole album including the second disc. I absolutely love the complete album. Thank you so much for this reaction.
Your reactions are so delightful! I'd really enjoy if you'd do the album in order 😁🌻
Thank you so much for this! Someone has already posted here explaining some of the aspects of why this song is a homage to the history of music. However, I would also like to point out that the statue is an allusion to the Hurrian songs and people which, historically, were the first ones to inscribe music onto clay tablets, being "Hymm to Nikkal" the oldest registered piece music in the world. Part of this song is reproduced later on in an instrumental song of the album. :)
I'll repeat the request to listen to the whole album, as it truly is a whole, and if you want a little peak the feelings of the members of the band about each song, find their countdown videos ! And go ahead and listen to Music as much as you want, it only improves with each hearing!
I really hope you go through the whole album. The vocals have a 3 way harmony between Floor, Marco, and Troy through most of the songs on the album and they sound amazing.
12:17 The fast run from the strings as they swell then soar into the chorus gets me every time!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this amazing song. There's a 1998 Nightwish song, I think you'd enjoy called, The Riddler. A very good, yet underrated song.💜
It says a lot about the album that everyone has a different favourite song and all songs resonate differently with different people. This album seems to be a very personal experience for everyone. My favourite is Procession. It made me cry to the point that I needed a break. The message delivered with Floor's emotional vocals is insanely powerful. I get why some people don't like the album but for me it's the best from Nightwish so far. I'd love to see you share the complete journey with us. Of course, whether it happens or not is up to you. But we're here.
I'm on board! I love their music so much and this absolutely seems like an album for me!
Yes - I did notice that too (each song is favored by someone).
What I find absolutely great is that the album (including the 2nd CD) forms such a beautifully crafted thematic entity. By each round of listening I keep discovering new cross references between the songs - both in lyrics and musical elements.
I'm starting to think that this is probably not only the best Nightwish album but totally on par with the classics by Pink Floyd etc.
@Anssi A Wow, you summed up my exact thoughts about the album, that i could not put into words.
Different favorites for different people, but each song is someones favorite. Basicly means entire album is great. And favorite song changes with each listen. As the album is realy complex. Not to mention complexity of individual songs. Which is why i think some people dont like it. They did not understand it, or expected something else and did not give themselfs enough listens to like it.
But for me also, their best album, by far.
I've watched plenty of reactions to Nightwish, but so far yourself and Elizabeth aka @The Charismatic Voice are my favourite, both very knowledgeable about music/vocals, it's just a pleasure to listen to you both creating a valuable content and deep analysis of such a great music.
And if I can recommend something, it would be anything from Poets of the Fall.
Have you seen chase carneson react? He is also a really good one, just like this reaction, knows a lot about music
I would also recommend Chase. These 3 are the ones im actually subscribed to as its not pointless drivel.
Edit: Have to say Elizabeth is so infectious with her enthusiasm and is absolutely gorgeous to boot.
yes, please do the compositions of this album in order ...
They are all worth listening to carefully ...
You would at some point come to "Shoemaker" (spoiler; this is definitely not about a shoemaker)
in that composition you hear something that we as fans have been waiting for quit a while ..
However, from "how's the heart" is actualy a live version, it is an acoustic version that was recorded for promotion at Planet Rock just before the Covid-19 period. I would suggest listening to these right after the album version ... It would also immediately give you a lot of explanation about Floor's voice and her capabilities. A very applicable composition, in this as Marco would say; "troubled times" with Covid-19!
(Personally I think the acoustic live version is even better than the beautiful album version)
If you have listened carefully to all the compositions, and you should probably must listen to several of them for more than ones, you will notice that Tuomas (the Mozart of metal) has certainly done his trick again, and that all songs are connected, and refer to each other.
Keep doing the great work you do with your Nightwish reactions,
Can't wait for your next reaction to the compositions of this album.
(this album is a real Masterpiece!)🤘🤘
yes, you absolutely should react to shoemaker too...
Tuomas said his original idea for Music is incorporating different musical instruments in some chronological order. But it was difficult to put it together. This is the one song on the album that changed the most through corroboration with rest of the band.
The intro reminds me of both 'The Rhythm Of The Heat' from Peter Gabriel's 1982 album '4' and the industrial noise from the movie 'Terminator 2'.
Just beautifull 🎶💜👑
Please do every song! I mean, please react to every single song. In order. For us to see. Thank you!
The "tik-tok" part is one of my favorites. It begins with a rhythm and melody that sounds like a nursery rhyme, but ends up like a lullaby. And remember that lullabies and nursery rhymes are the first true "music" we hear in life.
This song is the history of music being told through the words of the music itself, an artistic measure that is really popular in literature, but this time in music, making us really Further appreciate the talent of Tuomas. The very long intro often makes some fans uncomfortable is an important part of the song, and this is the point of Tuomas's genius, which is the Easter egg you are looking for. It begins with sounds in nature (the first music), then the first sounds that are intentionally created by humans, then the first instrument "drum", followed by the sound of strings, and eventually the whole orchestra took part.
This song is one of my favorite songs in the new album, but every song in this album is great. Hope you will react to all the songs in the correct order. This would be great.
Epic Symphonic Rock.... ;)
Moody Blues..Days of Future Past mates with Evanescence...
NIGHTWISH BABY!!
I believe i read in a n interview, that the song is the history of music as told by the music itself.
"Before you my home was in the wind and suf..."
Best intro...
I love this entire album, but my favorites are Procession, Shoemaker, and How's the Heart. Please do some research on Shoemaker - who Eugene Shoemaker was, etc.!!
Could you do a reactionalysis of Storytime? Not sure whether the lyrics relate to Steinman, though it reminds me a lot of him musically.
Thanks for your reaction. It was again on point and it is not an easy album to react to. Maybe you want to make another reaction of music after listening a couple of times to some songs of the album. The intensity and emotions those songs are creating inside me keep on growing and i m completely in love with every single song of this album. But it is a journey and i m not competent enough to describe why this is and how they are able to create something like this. Another reactor calls Thuomas metal mozart. Personally i compare him more to wagner as the emotions coming with their compositions are more similar.
Keep on this great work
