Floor - Parent who is permanently stuck to their phone not actually engaging with their child. In the room they are sat in there is a fair ground behind them yet she ‘traps’ her crying child.
Troy - King/leader crown of oil drills. Golden platforms to make him grander than he is, plays the part when in-front of subjects but when alone doesn’t give a shit. Sat on what looks like a glorious thrown but is in fact a toilet. (Nod to what we don’t see behind the scenes)
Empu - Someone who stands apart from the rest on social media and gets attract for it.
Kai - The person taking a self with someone getting beaten in the background.
Tuomas - The echo warrior do desperate to show everyone how Green he is. Flip/flops between views (on his sign power station is crossed out on one side and ticked on the other). But back where no one can see he’s bathing in oil covering the very animals he is supposed to care for.
Marco - Pharmaceuticals for all! Take these pills they’ll do... when in reality they do nothing but get you hooked and ruin your life.
Jessica (Instagram model) - The beautiful model so desperate to look good for all her pictures but behind the scenes is miserable going through endless procedures to stay ‘loved’

And. . . . . .the hexagons - the nature of the hive structure and the world-wide cell tower planning map for channel re-use maximisation, the black mirrors - a British dystopian science fiction anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker. It examines modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies. The other little nugget, when the child dies as an old man having lived in the "noise" of a matrix like environment, his screen goes blank and there is the old Windows Bluetooth shut-down melody. Jessica PEZSI Edström is of course parodying herself.
It's a strong message, get your head out of the phone and look at the real world.

Some lyric analysis: There's so much in it it's impossible to take it all in with one single playthrough. the message is not just "Smartphone bad, nature good!" but rather how "We've become tool to a tool", the next lines are also important "Digital ghouls telling you to shut up and dance". Basically, how we are blinded to what is important with superficial distractions. We have the mother who use her child to further her status on social media and in the end trapping the child in a cage. We have the (hypocritical) environmentalist activist who do and say all the right things for social clout (also notice his sign has both yes and no to nuclear power) all while literally bathing in oil when nobody can see him. We have the pill industry who push supplements (i saw fat away, man power, but there where other) so everyone can be "perfect". The cult (the monks) of social media who are quick to turn on anyone who disagree, and instead of helping out you pose for the drama. In the end we are born and die addicted to all the digital "noise" that blinds us to what is important.

Someone may have already said this, but when you do Shoemaker look up Eugene Shoemaker before your reaction. It will make sense then. Some of his ashes are on the moon. As always, I enjoyed your commentary. The “endless noise” outside was barely noticeable. 😄

I love how the music and visuals are so in line with the lyrics. It's all very full on, loud, in your face, almost confusing and a bit too much of everything, while still being a great song. If you listen to this right after Music, the contrast is even clearer. It's such a Nightwish thing to do.

12:32 "You know i'm not a vocal teacher, i'm not one of those vocal teacher reacts, vocal WHATEVER. You got a hundred billions of them to listen to, banging on about Floor's voice cause yeah she's amazing. BUT i wanna comment a little bit on the rhythm"
And this right here, is the reason this channel is so amazing. That analysis of the duration of the word "noise" was something unique, and i know i'll get something like this every time, because you not only focus on the good singer and say "the band is good". No, you seriously take the band as a whole, and can give them credit and an actual feedback.
I would subscribe if i hadn't done it already. Keep up the good work!

Your reactions especially to Nightwish songs are pure gold, extremely entertaining. Every time wish there would be more until I didn't have to repeat the same videos again 😂.
Not only because you are a professional and you know what you do (or at least say) but also because your reactions are so real, no acting, each time it comes straight from your heart, from the great passion to understand music. And because you are not a vocal coach so you hear every tiny detail from the song, not just the amazing vocals. Really inspiring to watch these videos because I listen to music the same way, very rarely concentrate to the lyrics.
I love Nightwish and really look forward to see the next videos but also want to suggest if you haven't heard "the little piece of heaven" by avenged sevenfold. Might be something you would enjoy, especially the live version of it. Great musicians too and a quite nice composing.. 🤔

We can console ourselves with the fact that construction noise is an international language: even more so than music, it is the same all over the world. The sounds and rhythms are the very same. I live in Berlin and couldn't tell at first whether the construction noise came from my apartment block or my headphones. We stand as one in suffering. One might even say:
"Before me, my foe was in the wind and surf,
In drums and bass, voices of a marvel from the Netherlands,
Then I came, I joined you in neighbor's backyard
    As you held your ears and began to cringe;
Intensify the torment of a bleeding ear,
    Produce some deaf,
    Screech in graceless third gear
I orchestrate a pain for everyone to feel,
    Then screw your mind,
I'm always there to drive you insane,
    To torture
    Drilling..."

Very fitting setup for this reaction with the "endless noise" outside xD
Interesting take, this one was the first single of the album (the only one with a music video rather than lyrics video) and was released 2 months before so most people reacted to it much earlier than Music. I don't wanna say it was kinda overlooked but I didn't find that many people considering it as interesting music-wise as you did, the whole meaning of the song and the video (regarding of course the use and abuse of technology and social media) kind of took over. And then the rest of the album came.
I remember liking it very much the first time and still like it a lot now, the main theme is reminscent of Game of Thrones intro (Tuomas was asked and said it was pure coincidence as he never watched the show), but overall is very classic Nightwish symphonic metal sound.
In the end in the final long "Noise" I think Marko's voice overlaps with Floor's, you'll find that they use a lot of vocal harmonies in the album also with Troy as well.

Most of the chorus last lines it's the full set in synchronicity on the short notes. In the hold before the breakdown, it's Floor alone; the backing drops out. But this time, in the first repeat Floor extends the note just long enough to allow Marco to slip further into the front; the mixing backs this up too, with his syllables becoming clearer. Then in the last one she drops the lyric entirely and Marco holds the line with his usual much angrier sounding style. You could interpret this a number of ways - a slipping of the locus of control, perhaps, or of external anger taking over. But it adds a note of rage at the end which really adds to what is, honestly, the most angry song on the entire album by a margin.

Workmen making endless noise outside your garage is totally appropriate for a song named Noise. The irony is not lost! ;)

Oh mate I lived above a shop on a main road. That in itself was loud enough. But then woke up one day to the unit shaking & I was like wtf & go outside & they've demolished the building next door leaving just the common wall we had. Ooh I'm so glad they didn't take out that extra layer of bricks! Then I moved after they had rebuilt on that block to a free standing house. About 6 months later they demolished the house next door & built this 3 storey (including an underground 6 car garage with a turntable thing so you'd just drive the car you want to take out onto it & it spins around so you're facing out on the driveway ready to go & a full on cinema so sinking the plinths for that was great) mansion which was like a good 2 year build & I was working night shift & studying full time. I wanted to die for real I think I was made of caffeine.
You did a great job blocking out the worst of the noise you didn't want to hear 👍

Easiest explanation to the concept of this song would be the saying "bread and circuses". You give the people what they need and the entertainment they want and they will ignore the reality around them. It's a perfect analogy to the crazy modern world we live in where facts don't seem to matter anymore and people know more about their favorite show, artist or sports team than what's going on around them. You see it all around us in Social Media and the news, it's gotten to the point where "News" is being made up and the facts are ignored for your own personal biases. They're is so much more I could say on the video but it has already been broken down excellently by other commenters.

Shoemaker is great, looking forward to watching your review on it. But in order to appreciate it properly, a little research is very important:
    1. It’s not about shoes 😉 it’s about Eugene Shoemaker, need to look him up if you’re not already into astrogeology
    2. He is the only human, whose ashes are on the Moon
    3. Bonus points for a great review if you find what’s written on his urn/capsule that carried his ashes to the Moon to a crater named after him.
Plenty of reviews of Shoemaker on YT already, but unfortunately only a few good ones, who would have done the basic research before doing the review...

Well, we've had both types of noise, a good one and a bad one! Still, you did a fine job 😉. It takes a lot of noise "killing" the Nightwish music and ....... the neighbours didn't succeed!.
I've mentioned this before, but if you can find the time, please react to "The Source", which is the 9th studio album from Ayreon, a progressive metal/rock opera project by Dutch musician Arjen Anthony Lucassen, released on April 28, 2017. ‘The Day That The World Breaks Down’ is a song that features all 11 (well known) main guest singers [James LaBrie (Dream Theater), Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, Seventh Wonder), Tommy Rogers (Between the Buried and Me) , Simone Simons (Epica), Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind), Tobias Sammet (Edguy, Avantasia), Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian), Mike Mills (ToeHider), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Michael Eriksen (Circus Maximus), Floor Jansen (Nightwish)] and is taken from that album. Arjen himself is telling (in subtitles) who the singers are and which instrument are used and by what standards.
Btw. The clip is 13 min. Long and I think you won’t regret it !!
