I think this run proves pretty decisively that comfort of use goes a long way toward public perception. Is the Ahab good for damage? Apparently, but it doesn't feel good. Also, it's wild that Bloons TD is arguably the reason Borderlands has Gearless OP ten. As is often the case, you're an inspiration, Miq.
I guess that's the thing about the Ahab, it genuinely does not lack damage. The problem is that it's a weapon that demands precision, gives you none to work with, and limits your ammo to fail with. It feels like the antithesis of a rocket launcher, but it at least does good damage. Almost the same applies to Axton, in a way, except he's not even bad, he's just good in a game that is balanced around being ridiculous. Good run, always fun to see a script that had a lot of work put into it. I look forward to the next crossover. Maybe 'Can you beat BL as Pat Fusty' with just butt-slams and melee in the Pre-Sequel. Don't really ever see enough Pre-Sequel, despite it being genuinely quite a good game.

He suffers from "least busted" syndrome. When stuff like Bore & (Gunzerker in general) exist, a pretty well ballenced turret class just causes poor public perception.

Don't listen to the pisswizards. Axton is a pimp. I have got him, Sal, Maya and Gaige up to max level. Whilst mobbing, he feels just as good as any of them. Hes got great defence, reload speeds, can use any weapons, free slag etc. Alongside Maya, he seems consistently strong throughout, not reliant on gear or build too much. Plus he slings out Hiroshimas, and Grit compensates for my shitty aim.
@31:49 She can be slagged, you just probably got the bug where she becomes immune to it, if she's slagged at the time you destroy her bike. You know the same thing if you slag a loot midget before they land coming out of a box.

First monkey i always start with is engineer monkey. And axton is my favorite character. Its like this challenge was made for me. Speaking of challenges. Beat the game with crits when you drop one you cant pick it up again so you have to start the game with a stockpile of them
Wizard monkey next? Mia with thought lock for tge necromancy of course the magic missile and fireball maybe the pyro launcher and flame of the fire hawk
funny how everyone hates Axton when he was my first character so i chose the hardest playthrough first and when i played every other it was a cake walk since i was pretty skilled from the first 3 hard runs
Challenge: Can you beat OP 10 As SAL without abusing moxxi weapons or weapons like the ladyfist that have the ‘Gunzerk Combines weapons’ effect (+800% crit)
Wizard monke next? Hellfire halitosis krieg(middle path) with magic missile(top path) and fire spells from tiny tina dlc(middle again) i dont think necromancy is a feature in any bl2 item so no bottom path representation
The only "bad" thing I feel about Axton (and also Gaige) is the fact that they never fixed the scaling bug with turrets (and Deathtrap) on PC. At least turrets can slag without extra effort with the skill investment and they have hitscan, so they don't actually feel that bad since that frees up a weapon slot for you to be more flexible with.
