Agreed Nelli has not been great all season, but in the way we want to play in these 3 away games, he's still our best option. The only reason he'll be getting a lot of stick is because we are not expecting to create a truck load of chances, so not taking the 1 or 2 we get becomes more projected as the highlights instead of the goals we could have scored.

Ben White cannot attack if Saka is not on the ball. The entire right side does not function. And then there is the reduces intensity in our press without Odegaad. Anything else does not matter if we do not find a solution to Odegaard. Odegaard connects the dots. Without Odegaard maybe we need to change tactics

As soon as it gets to the last 3rd of the pitch, the ball is won back by opposition. Nobody goes into a game with the intention of parking the bus. I don't really think you can have a dig at Sterling lads. He's made 2 cameos of the bench, one for 15 minutes when we were just trying to defend a lead against Spurs and one against Atalanta where he wasn't great by any means but he did actually create the biggest chance for us in the game and got a bit stuck in atleast.

Havertz was at one point, our most hated player for exactly those reasons you mentioned. When he first came, so many people were against him. Even I still believe we can do better than Havertz, but he's been one of the best attackers in our team and the prem in 2024. I also don't think Havertz not being as good as the best Striker in the world is a horrible thing. And we are currently in a title race with Man City, we can't afford to wait for Martinelli to regain form from 2 years ago. Arteta has worked with wingers like Sterling, Sane and Saka, but it's somehow all his fault for Martinelli not scoring for a goal for Arsenal in 6 months. Always excuses

I love Lee. But this is rubbing me the wrong way. Last year we signed Havertz. A lot of fans was not happy especially Turkish. Lee backed him from the jump. Even after his poor start starting games Lee backed him. Sterling has come on 10 minutes in 2 games and Lee is Livid. I also remember last season Lee saying we have to play him into form but don’t wanna see Sterling on the pitch?? This feels familiar
Unfortunately what looks like happening is the defence is gonna be the consistent solid part of the team for the first half of the season and the attackers won't be on form .. but the defence may get tired from over reliance second half of the season if arteta keeps sitting back in the big games and the pressure builds to win games rather than not lose them .

Respect to James battling back on the Sterling point. Turkish although quite level headed generally, does have a few areas where his bias goes crazy eg havertz, Sterling. Whatever new information comes, he’ll use it to support his point (confirmation bias), rather than actually analysing the situation. Good on James for debating.
Feels like Turkish is still bitter about the window. Contextually, this is our most difficult period of the season and we’re still unbeaten. Get through this, i think we’ll be okay for the season

I believe the issue with Martinelli is that he is given instructions to keep doing the basics right. Work hard, track back, pressure, right positions off the ball. He's too focused on doing those stuff that he seems stifled. It was the same with his first 2 years.

Raya has been absolutely outstanding this season,he has only left in one goal in 5 games and that goal was from a save from him and he had no hope of saving the rebound,you could say he could have sent the ball away from danger but a keepers job is to stop the shot and sometimes you can't control where it goes, Raya has been player of the season so far and I hope he keeps it up cause we will need it,love you Raya ❤

The main issues (and only issues imo) with Martinelli is his finishing and taking on full backs, that looks like more of a confidence thing than a fundamental issue, he’s desperate to score right now, his overall game hasn’t been as bad as people are making out, his pace in behind and his defensive work rate still make him more of an asset than any of the other LWs
Ben white is not playing well because of Odegaard’s absence. Him, Odegaard and Saka always play good football combination !
I think things will improve attacking wise once Odegaard and Merino are back. Nobody could've foreseen that we'd lose both of them so early. Arteta clearly had plans for our attack that he hasn't been able to implement yet because of these injuries. I don't think things will be easy for the next couple of months but as long as we can stay within touching distance from the top until they return then we'll finally see the full potential of Arsenal this season.
