1. The screwball is just a sidearm fastball as opposed to the wrist "screwing" to the off side. 2. The cutter acts as a power slider as opposed to a true cutter. 3. The sinker has a different movement path than its mlb counterpart (down and glove side vs down and arm side) 4. The sidewinder (my name for the sidearm slider) typically works better when thrown faster with less vertical movement. 5. The knuckle drop spins (or doesn't spin) like a splitter.
Got a blitzball set a week ago and I've been practicing pitching. Working to find a consistent release point on my fastball, but I have the curveball working fairly well after only throwing it a few times. Just need to work on that wrist flick to get a little sharper movement. Great video, would love to see a more updated one with how much you guys have grown.
I know it's irl, but I throw my regular baseball curve with the Two fingers like you briefly showed. Honestly way more easy and comfortable to have three fingers than 2
Zach Pasanen For me I never needed to try 10 times so I get the riser right when I throw a wiffle ball pitch. Blitzball is more simple to throw then a wiffle ball in my experience.
For the knuckle ball. Throw it submarine with a upwards angle and push hard with knuckles. Its called a rising knuckle slider. Killer to right handed batters. Also if you can't throw a riser. I would recommend this way
If you're not getting movement, a couple things new pitchers almost always do is they start too close to the target worrying about accuracy but not getting enough room for movement. And/or throwing too hard or too soft. Too hard trying to force movement but messing up the release. Too soft, good technique but not enough RPM. Hope you figure it out and hope that helps.
Tucking your thumb on the fastballs instead of using the tip of your thumb will get you better movement. Ball will come out of your hands easier. It’ll pop out instead of sliding out if that makes sense.
Wish there was a release camera for the knuckle drop cause idk about anyone else but I still slightly push my fingers forward on release of the ball. Maybe I'm being overly paranoid about it but this is where I learned what a knuckle drop grip even is. (was never a pitcher, decided to pick up blitzball and test myself. I suck lol)
I've used blitzballs for over a year and I'm using all your tips and something just isn't working with my 2 seam riser drop and screwball but my knuckle drop is good
I call the cutter the breaking ball lol but anyways thanks for making blitzball videos there fun to watch and I really want to join you guys league but I can’t
FYI you guys I came up with an amazing pitch that combines the sinker and screwball. It definitely works for me but it just takes some getting used to. Would you like the seams?
Could we get a qna. I watched you guys like 2 years ago and started watching again recently I Remember when Caden and chandler looked the same. Btw how old and tall are you guys
For the sinker that u threw, that had the same grip and movement as a knuckle curve, a sinker moves the opposite direction and less down but more sideways. I think u got it mixed up, great vid tho!
I've tried these pitches with my blitzball, but it doesn't curve. I don't know if my blitzball is faulty, or if i'm throwing it wrong. I got a blitzball set from walmart, with 2 balls and 1 bat. Are these balls faulty?
Very nice rise ball. That thing is tough to hit.Screwball you would have me in knots trying to hit.Fastballs look good also. But several of your off speed pitches are in the middle of the strike zone.I know this is just showing how it done. But if you threw a curveball to me and leave there..I am smashing it.That dang Knuckle Curve is the most devastating pitch besides the rise ball you have.Your Knuckle curve starts at the top of the zone and end on the ground. That is dang near perfect.I would suggest a straight up knuckleball. You hold similar to your KC...But instead of throwing it with all your might. You just push it up there.I use that pitch especially when someone is timing my FB.It will screw them up.Like all the pitches you have to master it.But it is not that hard.
Whenever I would play baseball I'd throw screwballs to 2nd and 3rd because naturally that's how I held and threw the ball. (I had no idea what I screwball was at the time too
Pitches in the video:
1. Screwball (1:06)
2. 4-Seam (2:31)
3. 2-Seam (3:44)
4. Riser (4:47)
5. Cutter (6:27)
6. Sinker (8:04)
7. 12-6 Curve (9:21)
8. Curveball (11:29)
9. Slurve (13:33)
10. Side-Arm Slider (15:07)
11. Knuckle-Drop (17:57)
*Extra Tip* (19:52)
The sinker grip is just like a knuckle curve in real baseball
You guys are so good
Como Blitzball your fastball still breaks like a screw ball
My Best pitch is a knuckle drop in the Fourseam fastball so those two pictures go together perfectly
Isn't the dropball a fastball?

I lost my blitzball 2 weeks ago and just found it, now I’m learning thanks

More updated one will be coming later this year!

That’s how u through a normal baseball the blitz ball u throw like they showed u
Not to be mean but it changes because the ball is lighter and easier to control
YES! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!
We know you all have😆
Lol
I'm definitely using these in our blitzball games!
Yessir💯
@@ComoBlitzball you are awesome thank you very much and I appreciate your videos maybe start remaking blitzball strike zones

that riser is hard your insane caden
I play blitzball often and I am going to try these amazing pitches! 😃
@Cincinnati Fan Mobile Gaming Network they do you just have to throw harder if you want movement
@@shack3955 I learned that the hard way, I throw a change up, fastball, curveball, slider. I am trying to learn the 12-6 but it’s hard

This is a very good tutorial I just couldn’t get much movement on any of the pitches
Honestly the most important part is to practice in order to get the pitches down
Como Blitzball thanks for the motivation

great tutorial
Thanks man‼️

I am the one 🔥👍🏼
I used to only be able to throw a 12-6 curve not very fast and a decent fastball. This changes everything
Thank you for this tutorial I got really good at the knuckle drop and no one can hit it
i love the intro
The sinker grip is just like a baseball knuckle curve
Danny Pino yeah 😂
I throw a splitter with the blitzball and it is very effective, it has very late dropping motion. I would like to see you guys try it!
Utah Adventurer 👍🏼👍🏼
damn those pitches were nasty
Thx you so much for teaching me
Nolan Ryan, Steve Carlton and Phil Niekro had movement like this with regular baseballs.
the risers went from a strike to over the shed
Tucking your thumb on the fastballs instead of using the tip of your thumb will get you better movement. Ball will come out of your hands easier. It’ll pop out instead of sliding out if that makes sense.
Gotta try that! Thanks!
I'm trynna create a blitzball league with my friends u and nea blitzball have kinda inspired me so thanks for that I guess

With the sinker grip do I flick the ball when I throw it?
I've used blitzballs for over a year and I'm using all your tips and something just isn't working with my 2 seam riser drop and screwball but my knuckle drop is good
My knuckle drop is good though
J Rutkie knuckle drop is the best pitch at least🤷🏻♂️
Try different arm angle and make sure ur grips are right my two seam is good and it’s a great pitch so try to learn that
i leanred my screwball slider and cutter in a few hours
6:15 yall did will dirty...
A 12 6 curve is supposed to only drop downwards like the 12 going down to a 6 on a clock
5:35
dog: ooooo blitzball mine now lol
Chandler how do your u have such a good knuckle drop?
King Savage idk tbh - chandler
So it seems like, for most of these, you just have to adjust arm angle when you throw to change the spin.
Essentially
Thx
Any other tips on sinker and knuckle drop
Easton Berglan make sure to throw it hard to make it get that natural curve/drop
Chandler gets more rise with his four seam than riser
Doctor Jai 😂😂😂😂😂😂
YESSSS!!!!!!!
How and what did you make your strike zone out of and where can I get one?
We didn’t make it they are gopher strike zone indicators
Ok thank you guys so much you guys are the best
Edit: please subscribe to my channel I have no subs
3 out of my first 4 pitches of the knuckle-drop were strikes
I call the cutter the breaking ball lol but anyways thanks for making blitzball videos there fun to watch and I really want to join you guys league but I can’t
Cutter is short for cutting fastball
I throw the knuckle drop sidearm and it is nasty
FYI you guys I came up with an amazing pitch that combines the sinker and screwball. It definitely works for me but it just takes some getting used to. Would you like the seams?
What distance do you guys pitch from?
45 feet but we are thinking of moving back to 48 feet
I would change the sinker grip to a 2seam grip but add your ring finger so you can have it act like a baseball sinker
Could we get a qna. I watched you guys like 2 years ago and started watching again recently I Remember when Caden and chandler looked the same. Btw how old and tall are you guys
dboler hopefully we will do one in the future sometime soon!
does pitching with the seam make a big difference?
No it doesn’t really matter where you hold it. Just do whatever is most comfortable
5:26 sheeeeeeesh

Not all of them but if you try baseball pitches on a Blitzball they should work
Where are you all located?? Columbia, Missouri?

Does anyone know how far the rubber is from the plate in these videos? I'm trying to set mine up accurately.
