      It’s probably not nearly the same degree as bodybuilding, but I’d agree that in any field investing is how you meaningfully grow your income. That could be an investment in education so you can move up the ladder, it could mean starting your own side business, it could mean stocks and real estate. If you just do your job and take what your employer will give you, you’ll mostly be limited to a 3% annual cost of living adjustment.

    This was an amazing video Fouad, probably one of the best regarding this topic and building a bodybuilding career in general. Everything is 100% spot on, it all comes down to pure hard work, discipline, consistency, and putting out value that you can give back and make yourself stand out. The Phil Heaths are the 1 in a billion and success comes from work not just from riding on pure talent.

    Fouad, what are your thoughts on a software/app to allow coaches to expand their business?
    What slows coaches down? The time it takes to provide quality coaching to each client. Many coaches still use WhatsApp for communication and how do they track client progress in one place?
    What if there was a software/app where coaches can have each athlete create an "Athlete Profile" which puts their pictures each week on a timeline so they can easily flip through past pictures and the athlete's weight is below each picture. Also within the Athlete's Profile are their meal plans week to week and the coach can easily adjust weights and food type. How does this allow coaches to expand their business? It saves time on prepping for each client's update. Everything the coach needs (i.e. previous weeks workouts, meals, weight, pictures, etc.) is in one place and the communication is in one place.

    I'm not sure how to feel about the morale of the video in the end: "the money is there go get it".
    strive to be excellent at what you do, ok i get it, and i agree,
    but the good money is there for the top 20 or so guys only apparently.
    I think way more that this number are putting there heart and soul into it, but there are not enough lucrative seats.
    Even if more athletes were as good, or better than you are, i don't think there would enough seats.

    So according to your calculations, you were making 175k at the height of your career, and again according to you, a second-tire bodybuilder is like the 7th-15th place of Mr Olympia. Just compare that to how much the 7th-15th rank tennis or football player makes in a year (I'll save you the calculation, it's millions), and how much less they have to spend on food, supplement, drugs, etc., and how much less they are destroying their bodies compared to a bodybuilder and then you will see why people say there is no money in bodybuilding.

    • @pav2k351
      @pav2k351 4 роки тому +4

      Yeah but not everyone can become 7-15th rank in tennis or football compared to bodybuilding, even still it's all hard, and there's definitely money in everything, you just need to put the effort in

    • @crustyjuggler382
      @crustyjuggler382 4 роки тому +1

      Pav2k so are you suggesting that anyone can make top 15 in mr Olympia?

    • @MrArashjavadi
      @MrArashjavadi 4 роки тому +4

      @@pav2k351 that's why I'm comparing one to one with similar rankings, not everyone could be in the top 15 Mr. Olympia either, it takes extraordinary genetics, huge sacrifice, extreme dieting, etc. and if anything it's much more 'damaging' and definitely costly to be a bodybuilder compared to be a footballer or something (drugs, diet, coaching, and many other expenses). I mean compare C Ronaldo to Ronnie Coleman for example. Both of them are extraordinary human beings with insane genetics and talent who worked hard to realize their full potential and become legends. But how much more money you got to spend to become Ronnie Coleman compared to becoming C Ronaldo, and who's more destroying their body and sacrificing their health? And on top of that C Ronaldo is making 31 million a year just on his salary. Compare this to the 400k prize of Mr. Olympia's first place and it looks like peanuts. I don't even mention the rest of his sponsorship contracts. A top bodybuilder makes 200k-400k on sponsorship contracts while Ronaldo just has one life-long contract, among many others, with Nike that's worth reportedly 1 billion.

    • @jmackinjersey1
      @jmackinjersey1 4 роки тому

      Pro, semi-pro and even amateur tennis or golf players still have to be dedicated to their diet and workout routine and spend tons of money on their coaching and conditioning as well as practice. They also tear up their bodies. Not as much as a BB if they are on juice though, but they do go through a lot.
      There is more money in those sports because they have been around for decades upon decades longer and they are more "pristine" than BB. Not to mention that the purse in BB is not anywhere near those in tennis or golf.

    That was probably the best video you have ever done. I have an MBA but really never understood the business side of bodybuilding until now.

    I'm just watching this video now, probably a bit late to it. But I think you are right on point with your message about work ethic. I'm at the point of getting triggered when people make it look like success is for "some people" only. There are paths to success, and whether you get there or not depends largely on your attitude and approach to life. Everything you do must reflect your hunger to succeed, and you're gonna need hard work, consistency and self-evaluation. Not excuses and laziness. Of course, ethics/moral matters as well.

    You're changing lives, brother. I don't consider myself a bodybuilder whatsoever but I do lift weights seriously and love everything about the lifestyle/disciple associated with it all. I listen to everything you do. Keep it up man!

    I needed to be hearing this at 22 and not 42. This would've cleared up every streotype and given me a better understanding what to do if you decide you can believe in yourself.

    Do you think with your on stage experience you can make a video about how these recent shows lighting and cameras are making it really tough for the bodybuilders when we are watching them? It seems like we aren’t ever getting the full picture anymore about these guys hard work they put in when they are on stage.
