i see a lot of videos using a blow dryer to straighten the hair out before doing the braids but i didn't see you do that? can you explain cuz im sceptical bout having mine blown out
If your wanting to use heat and don’t want heat damage I would suggest blow dry on low heat and or use a Protestant spray too.

It just depends on how long it takes your hair to grow he was growing his hair for about 9 months to almost a year so it just depends on your hair.

It’s probably because of shrinkage if your hair is natural you should try blowing it out first
