Thank you so much. I’ve wanted a cutting flower garden for my own use and have a 3x6 ft. Raised bed. It’s so helpful to have the succession schedule. I know how to do that for veggies and now your generosity has encouraged me to try it with these flowers.

First time viewer here. I must say I've watched this video 3 times and took notes on everything. You're such a good teacher. I appreciate the fact that you went step-by-step step with the diagram, the whys and whens about timing and height, and your recommendations for your favorite varietals. I'm subscribing to your channel because I'm still a relative newbie as a flower gardener.

This is most helpful, clear, and concise video I have seen for cut flower beginners (me!). I have been planning my first cut flower garden and have been a teensy bit overwhelmed with where to plant and how often and how much I could even grow in a raised bed. I can’t begin to say how helpful this is! I would love to see another 4x8 beginner bed with just filler plants and foliage for bouquets!

Every year that I’ve gardened I get more excited about the flowers than the vegetables. I learned the hard way that cosmos can be a bit invasive when left alone, and zinnias will always have a place in my heart for being so generous and easy to grow.
I just had my fourth baby in December and got it in my brain at the same time that I should start a cut flower garden. I was about to give up but this layout was just what I needed! Thank you! ❤

I find it hard to leave space blank in the garden but you have encouraged me to do succession planting with flowers because the first flush of flowers is always the best.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for!!!! I tend not to start small, I squirrel, and then overwhelm. You’ve made it easy to understand and doable. I love that you don’t have to start by seed with this plan! If you had to approximate- how many bouquets do you think this is possible to make- just thinking about gifting a cutting garden on church grounds to use as our “floral budget” and wondering if I won’t need two beds at some point. See…always thinking bigger-ooof!

I’m just dabbling in cut flowers this year and was feeling very overwhelmed with the planning of it all (I focus mainly on food production for my fam, but wanted to try selling some easy bouquets to help pay for some of the homestead expenses) this makes starting SO easy!!! I have room for about 5 of these sized beds, maybe a few feet longer than 8… I would LOVE a couple different bed plans like this that are easy to start and easy to tend, with different flowers so I could have a few different bouquet styles! Thank you thank you thank you for these videos!!! It takes the confusion WAY out of flower growing ❤️❤️❤️

I would love a video about the actual logistics of succession planting. I feel like I have some knowledge gaps, like if I have enough time in the growing season, could I clear a spent "square" of zinnias that I planted in a more "summery" color for a more fall color if I start them inside? I hope this makes sense. Thank you again for your knowledge and willingness to share it!

Chrysanthemums do great in the Seattle area! I have grown mums in containers for several years, the same containers they come in at the nursery in the fall. The larger sizes have survived in containers, but the smaller ones always die off. I also read that they have a better chance of surviving if you plant them in the ground as soon as possible so that they have time to root in before freezing temperatures.

Best video I’ve seen for starting a small-ish flower garden. I’m always lost on what to do and give up, but this is perfect. Hopefully I’m not too late for my zone since last frost was a few weeks back. 😅

This is such a simple, yet thorough, video! I just found one of your other videos yesterday and then watched this one and have now Subscribed. You're instructions and timing are more suited for MY planting zone, which is more timely for me to follow. I live in a small clearing in the middle of woods, so my growing circumstances are a bit more challenging, but I might be able to manage a 4x8 space (provided the deer & squirrels don't trash my plants)
