I get it, Amber. E is 19, and I'm still trying to break the habit of isolation. When he was younger, it was just better and easier if we stayed home. It wasn't worth it with the sensory overload, the meltdowns, etc. Isolation eventually became our default.
The loneliness can be overwhelming for anyone, but especially for extroverts. You, my sweet friend, are definitely an extrovert. Please message me when you get overwhelmed. I love you bunches!

I think everyone has days like this!!! (Some people may not be honest about it and are better actors, but we all have days that are hard). Just remember that tomorrow is another day and don't give up!!! Not sure what state you live in, but for me the weather plays a big part in how I feel. I am so looking forward to warmer weather and sunny skies. I totally understand having a hard time of letting others help, but seriously start looking at what services your state or county can offer. Were you or your husband ever in the military? It's my understanding they have great ABA and respite programs. Also we live in Southwest Missouri and are very fortunate to live near Camp Barnabas. They have camp programs in the summer and also a spring and fall week-end that my son LOVES!!! I will tell you that I was REALLY hesitant to send him to camp because I just didn't know if they could handle him, if he would find things he could eat (he's extremely picky) and whether he could handle being away from home. He was 16 the first year I sent him and he totally LOVED it. I really wish I would have started him earlier!!! Also when your twins get older you can get involved with Special Olympics. This is a good way to meet other families in your area. Also any autism support groups? Anyway, just want you to know you are definitely NOT alone in your feelings. Will continue to keep you and the boys in my prayers! Karen

Thank you friend for your kind words!! You’re right it hits all of us at one point or another..
We aren’t former military. However in a pretty good Aba program in our county. Also the teacher JUST told us about respite programs. I’m gonna look into them this week.
      Thank you again!👍🏻☺️

I haven't. This is now my circle. ❤️❤️❤️ I do have three or four special needs teacher friends and a couple of loooongtime friends who kind of understand and who have always been great. Butnimhate to wear out the same few, you know? And I honestly NEVER share how I TRULY feel. I am afraid it would be too dark. I do want you to know that I am here for you. Anytime. Do you have my phone number? If not, message me and I will send it. And P.S. I have been in a sad place for days. I do get it. And I hope to figure it out some day. You are a hero to me because you didn't just hibernate. You are reaching out. That means SO MUCH! Glad to are feeling better. I still pray for you and your family twice per day. Every day.

You are NOT alone!! It IS worth it, but even our closest family who isn't in the immediate dwelling, they just don't get it. I am always here for you. I am not close, but I am available via messenger. Call me there. I can ”facetime” there.

Yep. It’s real. RA is a b***h by itself add an ASD kid to the mix...good times! I’ve spent many days like this.
