    Western Railway (Gujarat) is the best. It is less corrupt than CR. Central Railways (Maharashtra) very corrupt. Mumbai would have developed more if it would have been part of Gujarat instead of Maharashtra.

      @@SagarPatil-r7u Yes it's in the plan.. but as if now they are concentrating on Mumbai region as it has a huge traffic flow, once it's all set next will be beyond borivali too..
      And you can say that by virar dahanu quadrupling.

    All this is literally useless as long as the missing link on 5th line between khar and matunga is not completed. More than 20years since this missing link is not completed :(

      @@prasannask8320 yes but as if now it's been done till Bandra.. in next phase they will be taking it till BCT ( Mumbai Central) , there will be a lot's of structural movement happening that time, specially Dadar's Tilak bridge which is being reconstructed and will make way for the extension of lines. Similarly what is going to happen in central railway with Sion bridge.

      @@siddharthtambevlogs9556 5th line exists between MMCT and Matunga, and from Bandra to Kandivali now.
      only part between Bandra and Matunga is missing.
      if this 5th line was active, all outstation trains from MMCT could have been diverted onto the 5th di-directional line and that would have emptied lots of slots for fast locals.
      remember, each time an outstation train leaves MMCT and goes on fast down track(3rd), it holds up all train activity on the fast up track (4th). same happens at Santacruz when trains leaving Bandra terminus are sent on the down fast track. it hold up all traffic on the fast up line.
      if the 5th line was through, they would not be an interruptions on the fast tracks due to the outstation trains.

      @@prasannask8320 yes agree with you... That's what is also mentioned in the project studies... But it will properly made again.. when Tilak bridge is demolished.. as they are building cable stay bridge 🌉 and make way for 6th line and even 5th will be properly aligned.. because there will be reconstruction of Khar railway flyover.

      @@siddharthtambevlogs9556 you are right that Tilak bridge is being rebuilt but that is at Dadar. Missing link is at Matunga-Bandra .
      Even if only 5th line is complete, it can still segregate suburban and outstation trains even before the 6th line is built.

      @@siddharthtambevlogs9556 railways did wrong to shift harbour from east side to west side. Had they kept it on thr east, same tracks could have been used for harbour and outstation trains easily. And then only a single track flyover at Mahim ( same as the one at wadala) could have separated the harbour line and outstation tracks without needing to intersect.
