  • Mumbai - Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR Bullet Train) project is a 508.17 km under construction High Speed Rail line that will connect Mumbai, Maharashtra with Ahmedabad, Gujarat through 12 stations.The project is being executed by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. NHSRCL
    Trains on the line will operate at a speed of 320 kmph on an elevated viaduct 10-15m above the ground except in Mumbai where the line will be built underground using 3 mega Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM). Between Mumbai and Thane stations, the line will run under the sea at Thane Creek for roughly 2 km.
    The line’s rolling stock will comprise of Shinkansen E5 trains which are capable to running at a maximum speed of 350 kmph (220 mph) with operational speeds of 320 kmph (200 mph).

      Actually mumbai metro line 12 jo mumbai metro line 6 ka extension hai vikhroli se jo ki ambarnath badlapur tak jaayenge uska route yahi shilp hata se hokar jaata hai. Yeh line abhi dpr stage par toh uspar abhi kaam chalu hai.

      Actually, it will go below the metro. That's why they have kept the metro bridge at a highest level for this section.

    Bullet train can share track of thair with local metro type system that can improve thane connectivity with BKC , in between time of bullet train they can run this kind of services , i think and they even extend local type bullet train service to virar for local commuters.

    Alignment which u shown in yellow color line is wrongly showing in entire Vasai-Virar region. It is not passing through Tungareshwar forest. It is just passing parallel to Vasai-Diva line from NH48 till naigaon Juchandra, then it goes little right side and cross vasai -Nalasopara east and after virar bullet train station pass through tunnel below baronda devi mountain and exit at virar east area and moving towards Vaitarna.

    Project will definitely not be operational in next 3-4 years. Track work itself will only be complete in 2031.

      Lol, the pace of construction is insane at least in Gujarat. Guaranteed the entire Gujarat section is getting opened by late 2026 to early 2027. MH won't take more than 2029.

    Mumbai to Pune hsr would be better than this shit and helplful for our economy , the pace of construction is too slow , cant even see a continuous u gider. More 4-5 years to go. So much money poured for nothing. Hope they announce the highly demanded Mumbai - pune and Hyderabad soon and start construction

    What a state of nepotism.
    This bullet train could have been planned between Mumbai to Delhi, Ahmedabad to Delhi. It should have planned between long distance. Like chennai to Trivendrum, Mumbai to Nagpur I. e. It is strictly reflects modi prioritize to Gujarat.
    Instead of make reforms in existing local train structure modi bringing these new project which doesn't have any sense
