    Idk if this is still relevant but the 2 point rotation makes puffy locs, 4 point will make them tighter and more cohesive. I maintained with the 2 point for years before I realized this lol

      Yes, that is true and relevant!

      2 point makes the entire loc puffy?

    • @Y2KDivaLocs
      @Y2KDivaLocs  3 роки тому +1

      Yes it does! I initially loved the look, but too much puffiness will hinder and restrict style versatility. #Facts!

    Excited to follow you on this journey...l don't have micro locs I have small traditional locs, but if I had the patience micro locs would have been my choice due to my fine texture hair

      locs of love At the time, many years ago, I did enjoy my traditional locs, but after having them for 13 years they became heavy, so that’s the only reason why I combed them out. These semi-micros feels GRRRREAT!

      Y2KDivaLocs this set looks like sisterlocks. You did an AMAZING JOB!!! Making me rethink a take down 🤔 I’ve been thinking about it for a while. Nows the time

    • @Y2KDivaLocs
      @Y2KDivaLocs  4 роки тому +1

      ebtheauthor You are about like me with the hair changes. A few months back you altered your locs, again. I with you. I dislike this transitional stage. I think I’m going to REALLY like this set of locs once they fill out and gain some length. I’m GLAD I started them with two-strand twists then afterwards went back and did 2pt rotation only on the roots. I’m REALLY digging the curly loose ends. These micros seems like it almost altered the texture or pattern of my hair/coils. With loose fro/hair, I NEVERRRR saw my hair hold on to wispy curly curls along the hair shaft. Now, with these locs, I wake up to pretty curls, and loose bouncy coils. 😊

    • @Y2KDivaLocs

      No. I searched different sized grids online then I cut them out. I might still have the various sized grids in my Google drive. *Don’t hold me to that. If you email me, I’ll see if I can get you the copy of my grid templates that I made myself. Y2kDivaLocs@gmail.com

    Ok so how many locs do you have?

    • @Y2KDivaLocs
      @Y2KDivaLocs  4 роки тому

      TheKid AJClark I was trying to be coy about the number of locs. The number is between 350-401. You’ll either have to do the math, or perhaps someone will reveal the number. Lol lol hmmm 🤔

    • @thekidajclark8338
      @thekidajclark8338 4 роки тому +2

      Y2KDivaLocs hahahaha... ok well I’ll take your word for it I’m not doing the math though... Hahahaha... however you did an awesome job on your DIY micro locs, I just recently started to do my own reties and it takes me ALL DAY, so kudos to you my loc Queen... I believe I stared with just under 280 ish or so back in 2011 but over the years I had to combine my entire perimeter because as they got longer they were thinning and fragile. I’ve also combined a few more on the inside because of the same issue.. Now I have about 252 or so

    So glad up did this I was waiting for your update. Your hair was great before but these are perfect for your head size, I measured mines after seeing this and my head is 13” so guess you have a small head hence your lower number of locs- BUT THEY LOOK GREAT!!! Hope your happy with new babies and nurture them to adult locs. Good luck on new journey 😊🇬🇧

Kinda bummed that I didn’t get 400 locs, but I’ll be OKAY 👌 (didn’t complete my grad school application. I got up at 5am to COMPLETE it! Lol it’s 6:18am EST! Thanks for watching!

    So do you start with two strand twist then interlock them??! Cause I want to start like but I don’t want the end puff up to much like I saw on some head

    • @Y2KDivaLocs
      @Y2KDivaLocs  4 роки тому +1

      MsJomilk Yes, I did start with two-strand twists then I interlocked, but you have to religiously maintain them so they don’t swell up too much.
