I live in Seattle but I committed to Temple University for rowing! I was out there about a month ago for an official and I stayed in the Morgan Hall with some girls from the team. I'll be living in Morgan Hall next year! I love watching your videos!

Camila Brito hi!☺️ yes you can order stuff online and get it shipped to your dorm or wherever you live. And there are shops, but there are lots of shops in the city which is accessible by taking a subway ride in

I have the same salt lamp! My light burnt out too and you can replace it easily just have to find the right bulb so you don't have to buy another :) Just unscrew the bottom and it's like changing any other bulb
the bulb that is in there right now is glued to the wood mount so i don't think it can be replaced:(
i tried to see what kind of bulb it was by unscrewing it, but it's literally like a little nub lmao im so sad!!
oh no that is depressing we must've bought from different companies or something :( thankfully its still cute as decor!

Hey Taylor! I'm currently looking for places to live next year at Temple (I'll be a sophomore!). I want to have a room to myself, but also have roommates who would also have their own rooms within the suite. Is there an option like this within Temple Towers or do you have to share a room with another person/share a suite with multiple people?
Lauren Cunius there's a single room option at towers. It's a 3-person but everyone has their own room!

What dorm are you in? It's really nice!!! My son is going to be a freshman in the fall.
But when he signed up for housing only 2 dorms were available. And that is a dream for a dorm room!!!!
He has a 4 person suite which is still a dream compared to traditional dorm rooms lol IMO.
But this... this is absolutely beautiful!
He still is just happy about sharing a bathroom with only 4 people. Then a communal with a whole floor lol!

Vanessa e theres so much diversity! That's one of the reasons I picked the school! I love that everyone is so different and we can learn a lot through other people cultures
Hey I just got accepted into Temple. It's my dream school but since i heard back so late i already submitted my roomates and stuff for my local college. I still don't know if I will go but i was just wondering is it hard to make friends there? Also was it difficult getting adjusted to city life? Also how would recommend i look from roomate? +Lea Service no it's really easy to make friends!!! Especially in your dorm building or if you are involved in clubs and orgs. And adjusting to city life wasn't hard at all. It's not a hard city to navigate. I honestly just did random roommates because looking for roommates was way to much for me. I luckily got great roommates!❤❤❤ good luck with everything!!😊

Olivia ONeill in my personal opinion.. I love living in towers! I'd highly recommend it!
Just try not to live on the first floor HAHA it's the worst floor to live on cause it's street level so anyone passing can basically see into your room unless your blinds are down

Gotcha. So I'm a commuter, I've been going to Temple since fall 2015, but the no standing rule on the shuttle and the septa strike is just a huuugeee inconvenience. I was thinking of maybe living on campus next year, but with the recent violence on campus as well, I'm kind of worried. Could you tell me why you were more inclined to choose dorms two years in a row vs an apartment? And if you have some time, could you tell me what you liked and disliked about living in a dorm? Perhaps this could be your next video.

I want to transfer to temple, but I kept hearing how the area that surrounds the school isn't the best place. In your opinion what do you think?
It's very hard to gather opinions about the school's safety and neighborhood based on what you hear from what you hear in the media about temple. Yes, things happen off campus. Yes, Temple's neighborhood isn't the best. But for me personally, I have never been in a situation in which i have felt unsafe on campus at night or off campus. You definitely have to be totally aware of your surroundings and be very street smart about what you chose to do off campus. Temple has escort programs where bike cops will walk with you to where you need to get to if you feel unsafe and they have a shuttle service called "tu flight". I love the school and the location didn't turn me off. I just knew i had to be extra cautious. i hope this helped :) Visit the school and get a feel for it yourself! It definitely helps :) best of luck to you!

It is my absolute dream to go to Temple and stay in Morgan hall (at least my freshman year and also bc my name is Morgan, it is only fitting! Haha:)), but my biggest concern is affording the dorm. Do they have dorm scholarships in Temple? And just in general, is Temple a hard college to afford to go to? Do you have scholarships? My parents are ripping me apart about that factor, but I just fell in love with Temple!
Smilee Cat if you are out of state the tuition is pretty pricey. But you can apply for scholarship money and financial aid through fasfa

How do you decide who gets the window side?
It's decided by which bed-space you pick when you pick your room in the housing portal. You either get side A or B and it carries what side the window is on because the floor plans are flipped in east and west hall

+Kiara Mora I personally think it's very challenging, but in a good way. Freshman year my hardest classes were "legal studies" "macro/micro economics" (at least for me)

Whats cheaper temple tower or the view??
Cognitive Philosophy the view you pay for 11 month I think.. and you only get to live in temple towers for around 9 months. In the long run the view is cheaper because you're living in it longer
This may seem like a really dumb question, but do most people who end up living at the View actually stay there for the entire 11 months? Because I was thinking about transferring to Temple and if I end up deciding to live at the View, I'd only want to stay there during the school year. I don't really know all that much about how housing/the process of getting an "apartment" is like so i apologize hahaha
Ashley Nguyen I'm not too sure.. usually people go home and may come throughout the summer to visit Philly.. but I'm not too sure how that all works. I think if you get the lease you have to pay for the whole lease time and if you don't live there and don't want to pay you have to sublet to some one the pay the rent

SuprDez _ I set it up this way because I liked looking out the window while I'm at my desk! Plus it's better lighting while I do my makeup in the mornings😊 my bed used to be up against the window but I feel like it blocked a lot of sunlight. Thanks for watching
