    Tome of Evolution and Tome of Summoning need some buffs, they are pretty underpowered compared to stuff like Cryomancy and Zeal. It's not really relevant for single player, but they are pretty bad in multiplayer. You can't scale into the mid to late game without good knowledge SPI's, that's probably why they nerfed Alchemist Lab, and you won't scale very well if you don't stack enough damage enchantments in the early game. Most of the Astral tier 2's are pretty underwhelming, but are offset by that fact that Astral is one of the strongest trees.

      Thanks for the insight on the PvP side of things. I'm a PvE player exclusively, but it's always very interesting for me to see the other end of the gameplay.
      I personally feel like many T2 Tomes lack the feeling of "Wow" that I have with the majority of T1 and T3 Tomes. But I hard agree that Summoning and Evo feel pretty underwhelming compared to their other companions. Basically Evolutions only Salespoint is the cheap access to resurgence allowing you some interesting Kamikaze-Plays. The units aren't bad either, but none of the stuff in there scales like the unit enchantments you mentioned. And that kinda sucks.
      But so far this game has had some decent development turns and I'm very eager to see where the balancing goes for the future.

    But why your Hero/Ritualist has 40 steps 🥾 and normal is 32 ?

    what about the culture trait that gives you 20-% elemental upkeep

      It's pretty cool but it has almost no benefits besides the Upkeep reduction. At least not enough other interesting traits to trump the other options.
      The whole Druidic Terraforming thing would be so much nicer if it would give more bonuses other than just the city core field. I feel like it could use a bit more bonuses and it would be interesting enough to pick.
      Right now all the Shadow Traits just are so much more powerful alone for the 150 Knowledge Gain per Hero kill they indirectly unlock via Imperium Skills. I don't like this personally, but I also can't stop myself from Knowledge-Powergaming as it is just such a speed steroid.

      combining it with logistics traning + sheperd + the shadow trait would get you to 80 unit upkeep reduction. sounds significant to me.
      anyway love the videos, the vowkeepers are indeed busted imo, probably best tier 2 support atm. have you thought trying a construct build that goes like:
      tier 1
      alchemy for cleansing
      open
      tier 2
      construct
      artificing
      tier 3
      dreadnought
      and then maybe getting on to golems or shrine of smiting.
      the main idea is to use the cleansing of negative status effects to remove stuns of tuned constructs (from the dreadnought tome), it's a 1 per battle buff that gives good damage, and you get a good frontline with the golems.

      @@yontsiche5673 Yeah but without the trait you still would have 60 unit upkeep reduction. And cheap access to Shadow Affinity and all other goodies. It's cool, sure, but it's overkill at some point as a healthy economy easily is happily working with 60% cheaper elementals. Anyways, I'm just considering Druidic Terraformers needing a buff. The elemental upkeep part is cool, the rest is just meh. But overall it's more like Shadow Affinity being absurdly overpowered atm, rather than Druidic Terraformers being really a bad choice. Is all i'm trying to say. I really would wish for Knowledge Extraction being moved into the universal tree so we finally would not be shoehorned into unnecessary shadow plays all day long.
      The build you describe is very similar to something I ran with Reavers once. That one relied heavily on copper/bronze golems though. I didn't see the insane combo potential of Alchemy + Dreadnought though, thanks for that one ^^

      Can't go past 50% unit upkeep reduction unfortunately.
